ADL Announces Opposition to Mosque Near Ground Zero
This admittedly surprised me. The ADL isn’t exactly a red-blooded conservative and while they do criticize some of the opponents of the Mosque for “bigoted” speech, they do use some of the talking points that the conservative blogosphere has been using for awhile in regards to this mosque:
In recommending that a different location be found for the Islamic Center, we are mindful that some legitimate questions have been raised about who is providing the funding to build it, and what connections, if any, its leaders might have with groups whose ideologies stand in contradiction to our shared values. These questions deserve a response, and we hope those backing the project will be transparent and forthcoming. But regardless of how they respond, the issue at stake is a broader one.
Proponents of the Islamic Center may have every right to build at this site, and may even have chosen the site to send a positive message about Islam. The bigotry some have expressed in attacking them is unfair, and wrong. But ultimately this is not a question of rights, but a question of what is right. In our judgment, building an Islamic Center in the shadow of the World Trade Center will cause some victims more pain – unnecessarily – and that is not right.
The ADL wouldn’t have waded into this unless they know some real scary people are behind this mosque. I wonder if this will change the narrative of how the MSM has been reporting this story or if the left-wing media will start lumping the
By the way, if anyone has any video or a statement of Mark Potok or anybody else from the SPLC commenting on or defending the mosque, plus post the link in the comment section.

‘Bout damn time!
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it over and over again.
You REALLY want to stop the Ground Zero Super Mosque?
Use . . . . the Other White Meat.
Yes — pork, in all its many forms and variations. Ham, lard, bacon, bacon grease, hock, ribs, chops, etc.
Cut into suitable sized pieces. Throw it into the building. Throw it onto the building. Smear it on the walls. Stomp it into the doorway, entryway and sidewalk. Hide some in the ventilator grates & grills. Ditto for the elevators. Eat a bacon sandwich as you walk by. Advertise it by carrying a sign, “I’m eating a pork sandwich.”
Take pictures and videos. Post them on Facebook, blogs and emails.
Make the site so continually “unclean” that the muzzies won’t be able to keep up with the “cleansing of the temple” — that is, if they’re even allowed to.
Could it get expensive? Possibly. But what will be the cost later on if this mosque is allowed to be built? Would it be worth it to at least try? You decide.
I have always found it interesting that they think pigs are unclean, and can’t have pork around — but it’s okay to make bombs in a mosque, or hide weapons there. That’s okay.
How do you introduce reality to someone when their whole existence is based on a fantasy?

Kinda like most religions that are based on faith or the belief in the metaphysical, eh? Let me know if you ever come up with a solution, then I may be able to relate to my ‘Christian’ sister again. 🙂

Here’s the other “been there, done that” I can claim. Still working on the “solution” part, I’m afraid…
I just want to tell you that I am very new to blogging and certainly loved your weblog. Possibly I’m going to bookmark your web site . You in fact have very very good writings. Kudos for sharing your web site.
If you were to eat a ham sandwich in front of it, you would probably be brought up on charges. This admin is like that. Forget the voter intimidation, NASA has to make Muslims feel better about themselves!
I wish one of those pro-mosque protesters would read exactly what the Cordoba Mosque was really about. I’m just waiting, though. One more attack, unfortunately, and we will see that the “peaceful and kind” Muslims are neither.
