Democrats blame Bush for gas prices

| June 30, 2008

I don’t know how they think this will fly with Americans, but CNN reports that Congressional Democrats (including my punk-ass Congressman Chris Van Hollen) have hired a Bush impersonator to do radio spots;

After an opening tailor-made for each targeted Republican, the impersonator then reads this boilerplate script:

“‘W’ here, wanted to thank you for your support of the big oil energy agenda. ‘Preciate you voting to keep giving billions in tax breaks to the big oil companies. Sure, gasoline is over four bucks a gallon and the oil companies are making record profits, but what’s good for big oil is good for America, right? I guess that’s why they call us the Grand Oil Party. Heh, heh, heh.”

Yeah, um, Americans aren’t so gullible that we’re going to believe that Bush energy policies got us here…especially since Democrats have blocked nearly all of the Bush policies in the first damn place. Did I mention that 76% of all Americans are agreed that we need to start drilling our own oil and refining our own gas? I guess we know who the other 24% are voting for in November.

As for my punk-ass Congressman, Chris Van Hollen, every time I call his office to talk to the numbnuts who knows about Van Hollen’s position on our energy policy, the clown doesn’t seem to be in the office. But punk-ass Van Hollen finds time to talk to CNN, apparently;

Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen, chairman of the DCCC, told CNN that Democrats chose to use a Bush impersonator because the president’s “big oil energy policies delivered high gas prices to the American people, so who better to deliver our message than someone who sounds like him? Every time Americans fill up their tanks or buy groceries high gas prices grab their attention, so it’s important to give credit where credit is due.”

Yeah, well, actually it only makes sense for a phony party to make a phony point using a phony Bush.

Jonn,
Here’s how phony thst claim is…

Facts(which we know no dem will use, but nonetheless, true)

**In the last 25 years, oil companies have paid 2.2 TRILLION to the feds for taxes and this doesn’t include state and local…it’s 3X the amount of the profits!!!
**1995 oil was 19 bucks a barrel and Billy boy vetoed legislation to drill in ANWR that was passed House and Senate. It could be producing the one million that we currently import from Saudi…Hmmm.
**Under Billy Boy US oil production dropped 19% and imports increased to 45%!!!
**Since then, the defeaters have voted down everything… this is a kicker….Whining about oil prices and blaming Bush, but when the Saudis say THEY would increase production by a million barrels, they cheer…as they pishawed, their own Country could be producing that, creating jobs, and cheaper gas…
WHO DONE IT???

GW

I wish them good luck with that. And I hope that folks have their radio turned up as they wait in line to buy $4.50 a gallon gas and hear the “paid for by the Democratic National Committee” quite clearly. Linked. http://wolfhowling.blogspot.com/2008/06/interesting-posts-from-around-web-1_30.html
