Thug messes with Viet Nam vet on Bus, thug down a few teeth
Generally speaking I don’t watch bus fight videos, because it’s always some poor bastard getting beat on for wearing the wrong jacket or something equally ridiculous. I like this one though, since the underdog lays an asswhupping on the dude. I read somewhere else he is a Viet Nam vet, and if he isn’t, I don’t want to know. Anyway, go on over to “A Blog Knock Life” for your feel-good, Davie whips Goliath’s ass story.
I can’t decide what the funniest part is, the guy bleeding everywhere and the woman saying he is “leaking” or the fact that the thug in question just had an epic beat down administered to him, and he is still talking trash when the dude has left the bus. Either way, I like thinking that this guy was an 11B once upon a time, humping through the hills, and even now he’s still not taking any shit.

The old man knew how to fight…the kid thought he could fight. They have it all on video, show it to the cops…not only will they get a good laugh, but tell the dumbass he was the victim of self defense.
Happened to me back about a month after I got out. Tried talking calmly and civilized to a punk that thought he was all that. Well, after the altercation and my subsequent ride home, I pulled in my driveway only to be followed in by a patrol car. The officers asked me what I had been up to (they both knew me since it was my hometown and it is a small town)and I played dumb(er) and let them go fishing. When they asked me if I had talked with ****, I said yes. They asked me what happened and I told them that he was being aggressive and that that was it. They then asked me why he was in the hospital emergency room and why he had a huge gash on his forehead. I explained that must of been from me running his melon against the roof rack of the car that was parked there. They were going to take me in, but they had already talked to several witnesses that it was self defense on my part, so they were just letting me know that I needed to stay away from him, which was fine, since I had no inclination to talk to him again.
In many instances, the aggressor is over confidant in their abilities, or prowess, in hand to hand combat. They also have experienced success, in the past, with just verbal intimidation feigning physical confrontation. Unfortunately, they also don’t have situational awareness; they haven’t put much thought in sizing up their prospective prey, which, as this young man found out, can have disasterous consequences.
His best bet would have been to just leave it alone and ignore the ignorant broad that was egging him on. However, by watching him after his ass whooping, where he was still talking smack, since the ass whooper had already left the scene, shows that he isn’t that intelligent to begin with. Calling for an ambulance for a bloody lip is just him being a drama queen.

Few people who haven’t been in the military have a concept of Violence of Action. The old guy reacted a lot more violently than the douchebag ever expected. When the old guy moved they idiot took it as a sign of weekness…kinda like a rattlesnake balling up before it strikes. As a friend of mine says, “go ahead and poke a grizzly bear with a stick.”
That was one of the best videos I think I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much for posting a link to it. I can’t stand people who try and embarrass and intimidate people, especially anyone who messes with older people. Who knew this older gentleman would be able to take care of himself and then some.. that was crazy!

If anyone ever wondered what a can of whup ass looked like…..well, that right there was a can and a half!
OT: The interesting part is that he broke out that can and a half in less than tens seconds from start to finish. That’s an energy drink fueled can and a half. Before he even stands up he has already popped the lid and has landed 2 blows to young ass whoopee’s mush and it continues to get worse for young ass whoopee as the much taller old ass whooper gets to his feet for more leverage to continue the lesson to young ass whoopee.
I also took note that the confidant bitch behind the camera, who was egging on our young ass whoopee and exclaiming, with confidence, that said young ass whoopee was going to beat old ass whooper’s ass and that changed to shock, disbelief, and then finally victimhood, once things didn’t work out as she envisioned. Go ahead and turn that tape over to the cops and young ass whoopee will probably get charged with assault to go along with the stitches needed to sew his yapper back together. Or, the cops most likely will tell him that this is a “teachable moment” and he just learned an important lesson.
I’m glad you guys liked it as much as me. I am fascinated by it because the tide turned on a dot, and then the new victim resorts to litigation and yelling threats from the bus. Just awesome. You do not screw with a man wearing a baby blue T shirt that says “I am the MFer” on the back. Not ever.

Another thought that occurred to my old, malfunctioning brain: It is popular for young punks to tape their assaults, these days, and post them on the intertubes. I’m wondering if that was the case here? Were they looking to tape such an event? I can’t think of why they would suddenly start taping this and then cheering on the young ass whoopee, as they did, unless it was planned to do something like that. Every bus assault video I had seen, to this point, was from the bus video system, which doesn’t include sound. I’m also curious if she was taping before this point, so we could get a better picture as to what was said prior to the start of this “teachable moment”?
Did I mistakenly hear the audio on that say something to the effect of “Go through that shit.”? Did the old dude leave his bag on the bus?

Anon, I watched the vid and I didn’t see any fighting, per se, but my interpretation of fighting is different from others, I guess.
So, he’s a legend in the area? Can you expound on that? It sounds like he’s a colorful chap and it would be interesting to hear some other stories.

i got his name wrong its actually Thomas Bruso. he was a marine in Vietnam and has lived in the nice part of East Oakland for as long as i’ve known about him. he seems like a nice guy who just seems to attract attention from mean people. he’s now at John George Psychiatric Pavilion for observation. if you watch the bus fight video you’ll see he’s wearing a tshirt that says I AM A MOTHER******. the lady that took the video and stole his bag is named Iyanna Washington and her name and details like google maps photo of her crappy house are all over the internet. it looks like shell be getting trolled for the next 400 years.
That he is in a psych ward, right now, concerns me in that he may be part of “the walking wounded” suffering some issues that have gone untreated since Vietnam. I hope they can help him, or they can get him in touch with the appropriate people in the VA system.

That punk missed one of the first rules of confrontation: always observe your prospective opponent before engagement. When the guy stood up and was about 1ft taller than him and was wearing a shirt that said “I am a motherf***r” he should have re-thought the whole thing and let it go when the guy moved to the front of the bus. That kid let that idiot chick goad him into something and because of pride couldn’t back down. I have $20 on that kid never appearing in court to press charges on a 67 yr old white dude kicking his ass. His friends would never let him live that down.

It does indeed seem like he’s not all there. But still, I give props to him for standing up to bullies like that.
