Matthew Livelsberger’s uncle suggests nephews’ actions were ‘peaceful’
Dean Livelsberger, Matthew Livelsberger’s uncle, claimed that the nephew’s actions were actually “peaceful”. The uncle said that the nephew could have created a bomb capable of taking out half of the hotel building. The uncle referred to Timothy McVeigh, Oklahoma City bomber, as being a regular soldier.
From Daily Mail:
His uncle Dean Livelsberger told The Independent that his nephew was ‘100 percent a patriot’, and described him as a ‘Rambo-type.’
‘He used to have all patriotic stuff on Facebook, he was 100 percent loving the country,’ he continued. ‘He loved Trump, and he was always a very, very patriotic soldier, a patriotic American. It’s one of the reasons he was in Special Forces for so many years. It wasn’t just one tour of duty.’
The electric vehicle, which was rented on the app Turo, exploded about 15 seconds after the driver pulled up in front of the hotel’s entrance. Police are still looking for a motive for the attack.
Sheriff McMahill addressed similarities between the terror act in Vegas and the one in New Orleans by Texas native Shamsud-din Jabbar, 42, who flew an ISIS flag as he slaughtered 14 and injured dozens with a rented truck.
The linked article provides additional information, including route taken to Las Vegas, as well as deployment and explosion aftermath pictures.

Dood shorely went a long way out of his way to deliver his “message”. Nut job or possible 3 letter agency pys-op? Why do I think that we’ll never know the “truth”?
Just sayin’
Special Forces Creed –
I serve with the memory of those who have gone before me. I pledge to uphold the honor and integrity of their legacy in all that I am – in all that I do.
I will not fail those with whom I serve. I will not bring shame upon myself or Special Forces.

Some Dims are claiming Elon Musk did it to promote the Cybertruck.
That tells me how the Dims think.
Or, true to Democrat nature — they don’t think at all.
Weeeellll, they are the same screwballs who don’t know what a woman is or think that there are more than two genders. So that thought is a not a huge surprise.
I’m betting it’s the same batch of D-rats who, while DJT was in his first term, told people to NOT get the covid jab because THEY KNEW THAT Trump was profiting from it, the same D-rats who later pimped the jab AFTER they bought stock in Pfizer.
Saw an article today saying he died of an “intraoral gunshot”.
Conspiracy theories are flying already. Is it possible to send a cybertruck with a dead body inside in self-drive mode to a hotel?
I have no idea how well self-drive works.
Slow Joe,
The answer is YES…
… as seen here in the 1980 movie Used Cars.
It’s been said his Wife cheated on and dumped him.
His supposed ex-Wife was a flaming TDS moonbat.
He blew up a Tesla in front of Trump Tower in Las Vegas.
NOW his Uncle comes out saying that he loved DJT and his Country, this shit ain’t adding up.
First casualty of War is the truth?
All I know is this shitshow ain’t changing my M.O., other than keeping my head more swiveled.
Which ex-wife had TDS?
I have seen conflicting statements. The old posts are from the first wife, Sara Livelsberger, who clearly had TDS, but the second ex-wife, Jennifer Davis, is hard to tell. At least I haven’t seen it. It’s also not clear who was cheating on whom. Does a woman break up with a man right after having his baby? Was the baby really his?
I have seen so much drama in the military, that it is hard to tell. But normally it is the lower enlisted, not senior NCOs.
Also, he was texting ex-girlfriends. That looks like erratic behavior for a guy his age. I mean, water doesn’t run twice under the same bridge.
As to drama in the Military, I grew up in an Army Town and saw plenty of it from Field Grade Wives! Right now, the media is flipping around like two chihuahuas fucking inside of a duct-taped shoebox and there’s no telling WTF they’ll say next!
The first wife is supposed to be the one who posted the anti-Trump stuff on the internet. Also, it is the second wife who claims she was informed he was cheating on her. Which is not unusual for many in SF, since they spend so much time away from home on deployments and receiving training and conducting training in foreign countries.
A rambo-type? I can’t think of a better insult; nor, a worse compliment.
I have often wondered how many veterans have been denied jobs because their interviewers were thinking, “What are the odds this one will go full rambo on us if he’s hired?”
Some things are just not adding up…
Pro or Anti-Trump?
1-Attacking a Trump Tower property
2-Using a Tesla b/c Elon’s connection to Trump
3-Self deleting
4-Not a real bomb as payload
5-Leave from AD in Germany
I don’t want to cry out Its a conspiracy! just because. The New Orleans attacker follows a well established path/MO. Will we ever know the full story? My faith in The Feds is at an all time low.
NOT just the Feds, but with me, the media as well. There are accounts of the NOPD catching at least a couple of people placing at-least-suspect IED’s around the neighborhood, but that has suddenly evaporated and the feebies now say he acted alone. There are too many unanswered questions tight now, and the Government is the last entity I will trust on anything.
Apparently, the LEO’s jumped to the conclusion that Jabbar had several accomplices because he changed clothes when positioning some of his IEDs.
Who doesn’t have a crazy uncle?
Who amongst us is NOT the crazy uncle?
That would be me. 😉
My Moms youngest brother, a Navy veteran.
My uncle Andy (married my dads sister) pull my finger, get me another beer, green onions put hair on your chest, fell in the lake from a dock taking a pee while drunk, ate a can of cat food one night while drunk (thought it was tuna fish). He was a navy vet too. I miss that guy almost as much as I miss my dad.
My Uncle Junior, before my enlistment described how to control a BAR on full auto. Came in handy on the M60 MG range. Years later I got to hear some stories about him when he was a teenager, no doubt about it he was wild.
ME, it’s hard to tell which I did with my nephews that pissed my sister off more, teaching them what “Pull my finger” means, “Does anyone smell pizza?” or when I taught them that yes, farts will burn when lit.
When the father does not fulfill his fatherly responsibilities, someone has to step in and make sure yoots are prepared to take their place in society.
It was a suicide.
You all know damn well that a Special Forces soldier with nearly 20 years in special forces and at least six tours of duty could have easily created a mass casualty event with a rifle and few hundred rounds.
He was not trying to create a mass casualty event.
He used a low order explosion that had more fire and sparkle than bang.
Weather anyone was injured or killed does not matter.
What he did was an act of (political) terror.
Therefor he is a (political) terrorist.
If you just know everything like you claim, then why do you still run around hating yourself, everyone else and life like you do? Asking for a friend.
Coulda just shot himself in his home or a field on the outskirts of town, the desert…. anywhere — and called it a day.
That he shot himself just before creating a low order explosion inside a large (and poorly chosen) vehicle parked outside of a busy hotel entrance doesn’t sound to anyone with half a brain like the act of a man who just wanted to harm himself.
😒
It may be he thought he was creating a mass casualty event; it may be he didn’t know what he was doing. This is why things are investigated.
Have you ever seen anyone in a mental health crisis? How about an Airman who was convinced he was a 2LT and tried to serve his Sgt an article 15; a 2LT who tried to get the chairs in the ball room to fall in and dress right dress; an A1C who tried to cause a car crash, etc.
Oh happy day, here comes the commissar whose ego insists he knows all; he will tell hoi polloi what the approved facts are. Stop thinking and follow the commissar to the glorious revolution and the joining of the worker and the student. Where the workers work and the students tell them how they’re doing it wrong.
Back in my days in EMS I met several reincarnations of Jesus Christ, at least 1 of them divined his Christlikeness after devouring the worm at the bottom of a bottle of mescal.
I’ll take a hard pass on Commiesaurs experience with mental health divinations.
My favorite was the Airman who was absent from his duty station. When he was found, the Airman swore the Base Commander appeared to him in a dream and ordered him to pull all of the dandelions from the base golf course. The Airman may not have been all there; but, he did an outstanding job on the golf course.
Now that’s entertainment!
Much like yourself, all sparkle and no bang.
IMHO he’s all hat and no cattle.
As a guy that grew up in rodeo,,, met my barrel racer wife, while rodeoing ,,, I’m gonna approve wholeheartedly of your comment!!!
God bless you!!!
F him!!
Ok Blaster, after years of working with the rodeo, I’v got my own opinion, but question for you… which is more high strung, barrel horse, or barrel racer???
Might not want to answer in from of the missus.. lol
Most barrel horses are just straight up a$$holes.
Barrel Racers: high strung, and much like Commissar, know, every, damn, thing, (when it comes to horses)
Hahaha!
I grew up in TX and rode rough stock, all 3 events, into my mid twenties. Met my barrel racer wife just as I was learning that I was getting too old for bulls and broncs. So I took up team roping and enjoyed the hell out of it. Her and I even roped together pretty often. Then came 9/11 and deployment after deployment and getting older, and mostly, for her and I to go to a rodeo or roping within 250 miles from home would cost $1k (fuel, entry fees, food, etc. and we can be pretty cheap- still $1k)
I’m old, she’s old (BUT still hot as ever!!!,, I mean,, damn!) now I just shoe and feed the horses while they get old!
Besides the military and my family, that lifestyle is still one of my favorites.
I think I have had a blessed and maybe even a charmed life!
Can’t disagree with that! Growing up where I did, rodeo wasn’t really a thing around me, so I went the fire department route. short, very unremarkable stint in army reserves, and right back to fire. My boy on the other hand started riding bulls in high school, continued through a year of college, then decided that it wasn’t the best option for a long career, so he became a farrier.. We both still volunteer with the rodeo (multiple ones actually).. funny how many parallels many of us have..
If he had been captured alive he would currently be under prosecution for evincing a callous and wanton disregard for the safety of his fellow citizens. Had any person been injured or killed by his explosive devise it would be looked upon as a negligent homicide.
There is absolutely no possible way to make this look pretty, no matter how you try to dress it up.
An act like this in a public space, using explosive and flammable devices of any kind is NOT the act of someone who has a fully considered regard for the safety and wellbeing of the people around him. This is according to all jurisprudence I have been able to find regarding dangerous acts around the country.
You know this to be the case, but won’t admit it.
Why not?
“He used a low order explosion”
So that only a few people were endangered. Thoughtful of him.
Not to worry, only fireworks.
It was a “mostly peaceful” explosion.
Exactly!!!!
But,,, hey,,,,
What?????!
Oh,, BS!
Here’s the thang!
I do not know!!!!
Maybe,,, just maybe,,,, STF up for a little while!!
NM! I already know!!
Latest is Vegas guy apparently left a suicide note allegedly talking about China’s advanced drones ‘stalking’ the US, and presumably more:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14248041/Matthew-Livelsbergers-unhinged-suicide-note-explaining-Cybertruck-bomb-Trump-Las-Vegas-hotel.html
https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/local-las-vegas/sources-person-behind-explosion-at-trump-international-sent-suicide-note-3259466/
(Less detail about the why in the second, and the first is the Daily Mail.)
The Las Vegas press conference, just over, seemed to indicate he had PTSD and this was a suicide. Livelsberger talked about clearing out all the people he has seen killed an all of those he had killed.
Time may tell.
Full letter:

He states it was not a terrorist attack, but his actions fit the definition perfectly.
“the unlawful use or threat of violence especially against the state or the public as a politically motivated means of attack or coercion”.
He says he wants to send a message to the country. The very definition of terrorism.
Ex-GF says he wasn’t happy after last time in A’stan:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/soldier-died-suicide-las-vegas-212031429.html
Army says he didn’t show any concerning behavior (i.e., reason to throw a net over him, etc.) when he requested leave:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/soldier-exploded-cybertruck-las-vegas-042546500.html
When I watched the first video to come out. My first thought was “gee that looks like firecrackers”. I thought that was the little batteries that run the car popping like fire crackers. Turns out it was firecrackers. I think he was going for mortars bursting in the air. Instead it just went bang and threw a bunch of firecrackers around. If The gunshot didn’t kill him right away, maybe he felt a few flames licking his ass. A preclude to the eternal fires of after the life in hell.
Yeah, I was thinking that was no explosion. More like a trunk fire.
An explosion would have the thing flip up in the air, spin around
and throw shrapnel Beirut style.
Here’s another article claiming to have things from notes he left behind before doing it:
Police reveal disturbing notes Cybertruck bomber left on his phone before blowing up vehicle
He was on one of those competition TV show.
https://youtu.be/9n1wdfJouSg?si=qCEn8eq2zdedSyf9
Again, the fictional Rambo did a better job of it. Just sayin’. Don’t blow yourself up, kids– it won’t make a point like you think.
Army said he didn’t have “concerning behavior” when he requested leave. What’s next, being counseled “if you plan on blowing yourself up with a truck full of fireworks over PTSD you didn’t want to tell us was bothering you while on leave because that may be sick misconduct and not service related for service and benefits purposes” by an immediate supervisor on a good ol’ 4856 before leave approval?
