US seizes Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s private plane known as Venezuela’s ‘Air Force One’

The United States seized a plane owned by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in the Dominican Republic, Fox News has confirmed.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) flew Maduro’s personal plane back to the United States Monday morning, when it landed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is now in U.S. custody, a U.S. official told Fox News following an initial report by CNN.
The plane, described by officials as Maduro’s version of “Air Force One,” is used for Maduro’s state visits around the world and was seized in the Dominican Republic after it was purchased through a straw company in violation of sanctions laws and export controls, the official said. U.S. authorities cited a specific violation of U.S. executive order 13884, signed by former President Donald Trump in 2019.
Well done! I’m sure the looming election had absolutely no bearing on the seizure; even so I’ll give credit where credit is due.

Any aircraft, owned by any U.S. entity… citizen, company, airline, etc. will now be seen as fair game by the Venezuelan government and is subject to seizure if it is in Venezuela.
If your landing in Venezuela, you’re already in trouble.
You’ll be in a hell of a lot more trouble if your try to enter the US without clearing ADIZ and making appropriate contacts.
This plane was not even in America, so landing in any country would make American aircraft subject to seizure. What is to stop Venezuela from declaring our Air Force One contaband and seizing it in another countries territory?

When it comes to repo. It’s a company that didn’t get paid. I’m sure that before a plane is repoed. There is going to be a paperwork trail and collection companies don’t take planes without having provided the owner with lots of notice. That if you don’t pay up. Your going to get your plane taken away from you. So Maduro knew this was going to happen and thought who would dare touch my plane. He figured wrong and lost his toy. Seizing planes is not going to happen all over the globe. It’s just like cars, don’t pay and you lose. This one just happen to belong to a renowned bozo.
If you want toys, ya gotta pay for them. Or steal from your citizens to pay for it. I mean tax your citizens the Venezuelan way. Through brutality and intimidation.
