My holiday message for Cardin and Mikulski.

| December 10, 2009

I got this from my BFF, Mitch Stewart at Organizing for America urging me to write my Senators with my holiday wishes;

So here’s my holiday message to the two Maryland Senators;

One-third of the millionaires have disappeared from Maryland tax rolls. In 2008 roughly 3,000 million-dollar income tax returns were filed by the end of April. This year there were 2,000, which the state comptroller’s office concedes is a “substantial decline.” On those missing returns, the government collects 6.25% of nothing. Instead of the state coffers gaining the extra $106 million the politicians predicted, millionaires paid $100 million less in taxes than they did last year — even at higher rates.

All of this means that the burden of paying for bloated government in Annapolis will fall on the middle class. Thanks to the futility of soaking the rich, these working families will now pay Mr. O’Malley’s “fair share.”

I’m no millionaire, but I’m following them because I want to be one, too.

You will never be a Democrat with THAT attitude.

Jonn, you are right on the mark.

Taxation Rule No. 1: If you tax something, there will be less of it.

This was the hard lesson that New York Gov. Mario Cuomo learned the hard way in the 1980s. Millionaires have the ability to vote with their feet. If you demonize them in your nonsensical, adolescent “Tax The Rich” policies, they will leave.

As a result, “The Rich” found that Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina are much better places to live. They left, never to return, and now New York is an irreparable economic basket case.

This is the important lesson for Obama to heed: If you hang a target on rich Americans, they will disappear, never to be seen again.

AP,
Yep, just ask Rush Limbaugh about that. This year when the “powers that be” decided to hang a soak-the-rich target on him, he publicly denounced it, and moved out of New York. More loss to New York.

BAH, I wrote Ben Cardin to express my displeasure on EFCA or card check. Needless to say his responce repeated the Democratic talking points.

As far as Mikuslki goes, she’ll leave when they drag when they carry out feet first.

I’d love to see them go, but I stopped holding my breath waiting for Maylanders to wake up.

Wow, I should never type when I am not awake yet 🙂

Living in NE MD, I know how you feel. With three counties ruling the others, our voices are drowned out by the Progressive One-party Banana Republic north of the Potomac.

There are ample good people in the state, but it becomes less ‘Free’ when Anapolis is in session.

Pickin’ Marty got a life boat when the Stimulus saved his budget woes, but I fear its gonna be worse this go-round. More unemployed, more need, and far more empty coffers are gonna make for an interesting 2010 session. Wondered why all those ‘short haired’ *supporters* showed up at the TEA party rallies (some with nice FLIP cameras) – feeling its ‘warmth’?

Babs and Ben have no fear – they can get all the votes they need, and can lap up all the DNC koolaid without fear.

But, even the band on the Titanic noticed the ship was settling into the North Atlantic, as they played on….
