Only damn airport I ever saw that lands o’eas flights in one end, inter-EU flights at the other, with a completely gratuitous security checkpoint in the MIDDLE of the airport. Either they think you got up to nastiness on your secured flight or in their airport between gates.
For High School Band, Senior Show final football game, we subbed “Wipeout” for the last usual song. I was running that thunder run drum riff on a big bass turned sideways like it was a tomtom.. “How loud?” “Bust the drum!” Band all ditched uniforms during the drum-only bit to reveal beachwear. Non-drummers ran riot during drums but dropped into formations for the brass bits. Several rounds of the song at max vol. Crowd went nuts.
Remember cozy Cole’s Topsy part 1. Had a set of sticks and used to play on garbage can covers and hit the sticks on my stoop. Kept them in my back pocket.
First…but its notan OT and I’m not eligible
You’ll never notan iffen you don’t go outside ever now and again. On every first venture you normally wipeout.
Not if you walk and don’t run.

Who else here at TAH has ever been to Schiphol Airport?
First time I was there was January 1985 and the last time was September 1987.
I’ve been through a few of them.

Drum kits sure have come a long way since 1960.
