Shooting at Fort Hood, TX
A shooting at Fort Hood prompted the base and nearby schools to order a lockdown, according to a report on MSNBC.
The news station said seven people were killed and 12 wounded. The station said there were two suspects in the shootings.
KCEN-TV in Central Texas reported that one person was in custody and one was still at large. It quoted a source as saying that shooter has a high-powered rifle and is aiming to kill.
Killeen ISD says all Fort Hood schools are on lockdown.
Seven people have been reportedly killed and another 12 wounded at Fort Hood near Killeen, officials with the post said early Thursday afternoon.

ust last month a 44-yr old Texas Sgt. did the same thing in Iraq and killed 5 soldiers and injured a dozen. No one mentioned a word about his religion, ethnicity or loyalty to the country. What’s up with that – why the double-standard?

Carl, since most thinking people will ignore your commie ass, and because if you have to ask the obvious, then you really don’t get it.
The good major never deployed, was a mental healthcare worker and wasn’t suffering PTSD. The SGT in Iraq was in an entirely different situation and was suffering from PTSD. We won’t deny that, but we also won’t deny the obvious in this case in that the major had been making statements on the internet over the last several months to lead people to believe that maybe, just maybe, his religious convictions might play a part in this.
Notice I said “might”.
So, for a point of reference, let’s play a little game; shall we? It’s called I’ll name the plot, you name the religions of those involved?

need I go further? There are other recent ones, also. So, yes, people would be conditioned to jumping to that conclusion, just as others have jumped to the conclusion that it was PTSD and multiple deployments, except for one small detail that they conveniently leave out; he never deployed.
The FBI has also looked at him for past statements that glorified suicide bombers. How the hell does someone who makes statements of this nature get to continue serving in our military, much less as an officer?
