Not really, but I never tried to learn the rules.

I never understood the hype surrounding First Post in the Weekend Open Thread.
It’s like being 1st in the chow line. You set the pace.
It’s a “thing”, a touchstone. Think of it as a virtual challenge coin. The start to the weekend, kind of like this 80’s classic:

Non-political, non-genderconfusiosity, non-gunsarecool, non-anything I normally write here.
That second one is about right for my neighbor and good friend. He’s an avid hunter, travelling to TX, MI, GA, and elsewhere, while maintaining a local hunting area (formerly a lease near MS, now one of his friends’ properties near the Atchafalaya Basin). I helped him clear a few shooting lanes, maintain some food plots, and so on years ago, and he’s always been one to build fairly decent permanent stands. He brags about not even wearing camo, as he simply takes a cooler of beer and a heater and sits in the stand for a few hours waiting to see something worth shooting.
While he usually kills a few deer each year and has a good supply of tenderloins, sausage, ground venison, and other cuts, I think his biggest pleasure is simply getting out in the woods alone, throwing back a few Coors or Keystone Lights, and enjoying life.
Sounds like a life well lived.

Not sure I understand the thing with a Rivian on the back of flatbed for delivery. There are lots of charging stations on I-80 not just Tesla Superchargers. That particular Rivian is a Quad Motor so it gets about 330 miles to a charge, so yes it would have to stop on its way from Salt Lake City to Cheyenne, but it could do it in less than 30 minutes and be at 80%, so still faster than an old slow flatbed!
