That’s a real WTFBBQ moment.
Some things are sacred. I don’t have a fancy BBQ setup. Just my neglected Blackstone griddle (seriously need to clean it), a Cabela’s pellet grill, and an Aussie Walkabout grill. Some higher-end setups are way up there in price, though, and custom-built ones are worth fighting for. Killing? Well, maybe that too.
That Model 49 is just as effective today as it was way back when. Technology, though, has made it to where revolvers take a distant seat to semiautos for carry weapons. Capacity, ease of use, and perceived safety all play into this:
Smith & Wesson Model 36 vs Sig Sauer P365 XL size comparison | Handgun Hero
The above compares the Model 36 (Chief’s Special) to a SIG P365 XL. For a slight bit more size, you get 12+1 rounds versus the 5 rounds of the revolver. A P365 MACRO will add just a slight bit more height and length for 17+1 rounds.
I retired my Airweight for my P-365XL, January 2020.
The Airweight is a bit sweated on and some of the aluminum is oxidized around the stamped lettering, I only carried it almost every day for 25 years. Had a Tyler T grip on it for years until the T grip broke, it only lasted about 23 years.
The old girl has a place of honor, resting easy in my gun safe.
A 638-3 is on my belt as I type.
Citizen saved the taxpayer $ by taking out the thief. After all, stealing a Texican’s Q Pit has got to be a hanging offence. Doesn’t it?
Not a good way to get promoted.
Shorely is a pretty hide-a-way. Almost too pretty to hide-a-way.
I’m not upset.
People would steal less if it was upon pain of death.
“Ossifer, I thought he was going to kill me, so I killed him back first.”
Some folks just need shooting.
Things, in Texas, ya don’t FAFO with: A man’s truck, his horse, his dog and his BBQ pit.

Sounds like it is time to unass the AO!
Naw, just a standard on-board crew brief from LT Bob if guests were in the audience. On those occasions three of us enlisted guys would all wear LTJG Jim R name tags just see who was paying attention.
