BY RUBÉN ROSARIO
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – A victim turned the tables on a subject who, police said, tried to break into their Southwest Miami-Dade home.

Miami-Dade Police units responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Southwest 83rd Court and 78th Street in the Glenvar Heights neighborhood, just before 2:30 a.m., Saturday.

Investigators said the crook attempted to burglarize the residence when the homeowner opened fire.

Hope he didn’t quit the day job, ’cause he sucks at burglary.

Teen at Indiana car wash sprays rude customer with water after lemonade thrown at her
Anna Harycki, 18, took action after rude customer hurled lemonade at her

By Stepheny Price
A teen in Indiana is going viral after she defended herself against a rude customer who threw lemonade in her face inside a car wash.

The video shows Anna Harycki, 18, spraying water from a powerful hose through the open window of a rude customer’s vehicle while working at a car wash.

The 14-second clip shows Harycki power-washing a white sedan when the driver suddenly rolls down her window and chucks lemonade from a plastic cup at her.

In response, Harycki swiftly retaliates, without missing a beat, and sprays the driver with water from her power hose.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make me smile the most.

Caution.

“I saw a man upon the stair,
A little man who wasn’t there…..”

Why? Because you shot at him and he un-assed the A.O. Good on the Miami-Dade homeowner.

Laying down some suppressive fire will generally remind a bad guy of pressing business he has elsewhere.

A case of when spray and pray actually works.

Smile! You’re on Cop Camera!

We could use more Pershings and less Milleys these days.

Yeah; I thought ‘assaulting’ someone with a power washer with a cup of lemonade was a poor choice of action.

As I see all about me, and point out to the wife when we’re oot & aboot, “lack of situational awareness”.

It’s the liquid version of bringing a knife to a gunfight.

That’s the kind of anti-burglar tool I want. Not only is it a fine shotgun, it also comes with a knife that could be better described as a short sword.

And a great can opener

IMHO the teen young lady’s response was proportional, appropriate, and sufficiently timely to make her point.

Anyone who treats a young lady like that deserves to be taken to the woodshed.
Good for the boss for supporting her.

I’ve shared the story about my new-to-me M1897 trench gun. It was made in 1899 (based on serial number references) and lacks a bayonet lug and heat shield. All markings seem to indicate it’s an original civilian riot gun. Given my location, I like to think it might have been used by law enforcement to help convince the Bonnie and Clyde types that crime doesn’t pay. My Mossberg 590A1 is a bit longer and heavier, but the M9 bayonet attaches handily to make it a viable close quarters weapon.

The Winchester M12s we had in the A/1-3 Arms Room were probably the most menacing ones I’ve handled. We had M1917 bayonets with 17″ blades as well, so I used to jokingly fix a bayonet to a shotgun and use it for the “Arms Room Defense” weapons system.

Six to nine rounds of buckshot coupled with a pig sticker is enough to deter at least a few enemy combatants. Tube-fed shotguns are slow to reload, though, so practice combat reloads and/or transitions to a sidearm for maximum effectiveness.

There’s always shotgun speed loaders… nice to keep things handy for close encounters.

Whoa! I didn’t know they made those.
Great for when you want to bag your limit…or a little more.

Single round and go is quite quick.

Watch experienced Cowboy shooters pull four from the belt and single-shoot-single-shoot-single-shoot-single-shoot in a shockingly short time. Way faster than trying to stuff four in the magazine, then shooting. And you keep the gun up on your shoulder and on target.

Even a novice can manage pairs fairly soon. Four takes more practice.
