SECURITY GUARD DROPS A KNIFE-WIELDING MAN WITH A DEVASTATING SPARTAN KICK FOLLOWED BY A BIG RIGHT HAND
by SEAN JOSEPH
A knife-wielding man reportedly in the Netherlands, with plans to do God knows what, picked the wrong store to attempt to execute those plans. After pacing back-and-forth in the entry way, looking into the store, he decides it’s time to go in.Whether he was hoping for a confrontation with a security guard or not, that’s what he got as soon as he stepped foot into the unknown store. But not just any security guard. This guy is a Spartan kick deploying bad ass more than ready and willing to take on the armed man.
The man puts his hands behind his back as he heads for the doors. As the automatic doors open, he casually strolls in. But before he can make it two steps inside of the door the security guard greets him with a devastating kick to the chest.

The First Special Service Force of WWII commissioned the V-42 commando knife. 1,000 of them were made by Case cutlery company. This knife is the dagger incorporated in the Army Special Forces regimental crest (DUI). It is somewhat styled after the Fairborn-Sykes dagger used by British commandos in WWII. Few of these knives are available today; they command six to ten thousand dollar prices when they are found.
The Case company has made limited runs of reproductions of the originals in the past 30 years. And now the Chinese have made cheap copies. The Case company reproductions fetch about $400. I believe the knife in the above photo is not an original production issue knife as the grip profile is too narrow and the scabbard lacks the correct rivets and staples.
P.S. There is a photo of an original issue V-42 and its scabbard in the linked article from the Army Historical Society.
I hope the Waffle House defender isn’t ID’d or caught.
The concept of The Four Esses is spreading.
Mr WH Defender used two of them; Shoot, and Shut Up.
It’s B-Ham, likely that the shooter was a thug as well.. but at least at this one time and place, he did the right thing..
Now THERE’S something different.
Bringing a knife to a fist fight…..and losing. No guns involved.
I can’t say if it was the video that was blurry, or my eyes at oh-dark-too-damn-early blurry, but I didn’t see a knife. I’ll look again later.
Yes, it will have its own page in the loose leaf (etc) T2NB2AGF.
I loved the announcer commentary of the Security Guard taking out the trash!
The right that takes Mr. Dipshit off his feet was well done after a few misses earlier…nice work taking out the would be shit bird…
You think you’re cool until you see the COL with fingerless gloves bunning one out in the field cool.
Knives…I own a handful. I’ve found that I’m more prone to cutting myself with a butterknife (inside joke with the family, based on a true story) or a gun (the day we had to sign a safety sheet stating that only company-approved knives are authorized, I cut myself on a Beretta Tomcat).
I’ve never owned a VG-42, but still have the Gerber Mark II I carried into Iraq. If I ever get around to finding and consolidating them all, I might have 60 or so decent knives.
I have both a Mark I and a Mark II. I’m severely right handed, so the Mark 1 is a shiny left-hand distractor from the dull blued Mark II.
I have two V-42 copies. One made in Japan and the other is a Paul Chen copy made in China. I also have an original 1917 trench knife w/ scabbard, made by L.F.& C. I have almost pulled the trigger a couple of times on one of the Case made V-42 repos. I had a Gerber Mark I in Ranger School, but someone stole it from my wall locker in the Harmony Church barracks.
Also… What happens when customers go overboard “keepin’ it real” and brawl at McDonald’s, etc. all the time– workers (3x) at Dunkin’ Doughnuts pull guns on couple who want to complain to manager:

Hopefully sanity prevails at SCOTUS.
