Iran finalises deal to buy Russian fighter jets – Tasnim

DUBAI, Nov 28 (Reuters) – Iran has finalised arrangements for the delivery of Russian made Sukhoi su-35 fighter jets and helicopters, Iran’s deputy defence minister told Iran’s Tasnim news agency on Tuesday, as Tehran and Moscow forge closer military relations.

Iran’s air force has only a few dozen strike aircraft, including Russian jets as well as ageing U.S. models acquired before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

“Plans have been finalised for Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets, Mil Mi-28 attack helicopters, and Yak-130 jet trainers to join the combat units of Iran’s Army,” Iran’s deputy Defence Minister Mehdi Farahi said.

I can see the pilots going through training now……NOT!
Training and maintenance will be a Charlie Foxtrot.

Every jock that sits in an F22 or F35 just got a (in some cases metaphysical) chubby thinking of all the air to air fun that might be in their future.

AKA Russian Advisors and Pilots.

Iran should be content with being a regional power, and like US and other nations, should focus internally on their own problems. In the words of Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?” I have few doubts that Iranian pilots will be trying to show off their new toys to American pilots who have vastly superior training while flying far more capable aircraft. It will be an expensive mistake for those pilots in both lost equipment and lives, but Iran, aka “I ran so far away” will learn like they did during Operation Praying Mantis.

Their religion won’t let them. They have to destroy any non-Muslim faith and practice.
That, and an understanding of the history of the Assyrian/Babylonian/Chaldean empires indicates that they will continue this until Judgement Day.
And understanding of Biblical prophesy also indicates this.

“With due attention to the Islamic content of the Iranian Revolution, the Constitution provides the necessary basis for ensuring the continuation of the Revolution at home and abroad. In particular, in the development of international relations, the Constitution will strive with other Islamic and popular movements to prepare the way for the formation of a single world community (in accordance with the Qur’anic verse “This your community is a single community, and I am your Lord, so worship Me” [21:92]), and to assure the continuation of the struggle for the liberation of all deprived and oppressed peoples in the world.”

But will the Iranians ever be able to do anything other than shit their pants and run when confronted with a capable opponent like the Iraqi Army did? Well, first we need a POTUS capable of doing something other than shitting his pants and taking bribes.

It’s not the Iranian Army I worry about, it’s the Iranian nukes, etc.

Here’s a lovely selection of appropriate (actually, very inappropriate) middle eastern music from an old friend, Mr. Kip Attaway. It’s a little long, but worth a listen.
