A man in Maryland was pistol-whipped Sunday during an attempted carjacking in which shots were fired but the suspects changed their minds after they realized none of them could drive a stick-shift, authorities said.Officers with the Montgomery County Police Department were called to the 7200 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda around 11:55 p.m. over reports of an attempted carjacking, Fox 5 DC reported.
A man in front of a business said he was approached by three of four people who demanded the keys to his SUV at gunpoint.
The group allegedly beat the man with a pistol. The victim told investigators he ran inside a business and shots were fired but no one was injured.
The carjacking was called off when the suspects realized that none of them knew how to drive a manual transmission, the news report said.

This is an empowered woman* as Mr. Ashely discovered after fornicating about.

Who’d have thought that we’d live in a time where not only is the term “tranny” hate speech, but a manual tranny is a theft-deterrent” I’ll admit, I thought that maybe the car was a sports car like a Camaro or Mustang, and I was surprised to read that it was an SUV. I suppose maybe a Jeep? I can’t think of many models out there now that have even an optional manual transmission.
I won’t speculate as to the race or intentions of Mr. Antwan Ashley. I will say that following a woman to her place of residence and then getting aggressive is definitely deserving of a nice bit of equalizing.
…and a “Female Adult Human”: what is a woman? What is a female? Is biology a thing, or can someone born with what is traditionally referred to as male genitalia be a female and/or woman? Is assuming that a person who identifies as female also identifies as a woman a hate crime? Can I be FeMale2176 (him/bey)? Okay, I’ll stop now. 🫄
Stick shifts, cursive writing, and analog clocks. Their struggle is real. Think I’ll take my six (6) speed, turbo charged Nismo for a run up the long and winding road after I see Miss Chancre Mechanic Thang this morning.
“…gunshot wound to the torso…. the man died at the scene.” And that’s the way you do it, Ladies. I only have carnal congress with females…does that make me a lesbian?
I am furiously scornful of bureaucrats. Send them all to hell.
I’ve made several trips past the DD facilities in Black Creek, viewable from the Big Road. And no, tours or purchases are not allowed. Pity. What could be cooler than ordering a “reach out and touch” boom stick and watch it being built?
Iron sights…the stick shift of aiming devices.
There’s one thing about driving my 1929 Model A Ford not many car jackers would know how to start the thing let alone drive a non syncro mesh transmission
Same thing with my CJ-3B. A thief wouldn’t know how to start it, and shifting is always interesting.
All this self-inflicted Jeep talk, I need another flat fender. I last contacted the guy I sold my DJ3A to while I was in Kyrgyzstan in 2013, and he told me to hit him up when I was in town. I may try to track him down since I’m finally back in the area. 🚙
All I know about old Fords is that Hank, Sr. had “a hot rod Ford and a two-dollar bill,” and that “the tires and tubes are doing fine, but the air is showing through…”
The can’t drive a stick shift carjacking conundrum has occurred in multiple prior carjacking attempts.
FG? I’ll let you decide:
