A clerk was released from custody after police said he shot and killed a man during a fight and fled the scene Tuesday morning at an Oklahoma City convenience store.Around 5:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at the 7-Eleven near Northwest 31st Street and Classen Boulevard. When officers got to the scene, they found a shooting victim dead inside the store.
The Oklahoma City Police Department identified the victim as Dominic Hill, 42.
An investigation showed that Hill went into the store and got into an altercation with the clerk. At some point during the incident, the clerk shot Hill and fled the scene.
He was taken into custody a short time later, police said.

Temple police arrested Enrique Olivares Mesquitillo, 42, after he was shot at by a homeowner while attempting to break into a home.,
Temple police officers dispatched around 11:22 p.m. July 25 to the 1600 block of East Barton Avenue.
Upon arrival, they learned Olivares attempted to break into a home armed with an axe.

I feel for the clerk, running away after defending himself.
Normal “fight or flight” (or “flight after fight”) response.
And he didn’t know if the dead perp had “friends” nearby.
“Pending further investigation” …..that’s how The Authoritahs keep you on the hook and make you a nervous wreck. For the clerk’s sake I hope the investigation concludes soon, and in the clerk’s favor.
But will the clerk still have a job at 7-11?
