Deputies investigate fatal shooting in Burton
By Patrick Phillips
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and a second wounded Sunday night in the Burton community.Deputies responded at approximately 8:55 p.m. Sunday to a home on Possom Hill Road for a report of shots fired in the area. Witnesses told deputies a brown or tan SUV drove past the home and began firing shots. Witnesses said the vehicle then turned around, came back toward the home from the opposite direction and began firing again. Someone inside the home returned fire during the second instance of gunfire, they said.
While investigating the shooting scene, deputies said they found evidence at the scene that “supported the statement that someone was shooting from the roadway.”
Two homes and a vehicle were damaged by bullet strikes but no one inside the homes was injured.
However, a short time later, deputies learned of a disturbance at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. When they arrived, they determined there were two shooting victims who had arrived there in a gold-colored SUV.

I’ve never really considered the mechanics of a drive-by shooting, but I don’t think this pair did it right. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

Lemme see……for an effective drive-by shooting……just musing out loud, never done this before……
Would need at least two people; one driver, one shooter.
Drive by ONCE, then keep on going, IRA (Irish Republican Army) style “shoot & scoot”. Do not return to the scene of the crime.
Optional (but highly recommended) embellishment – a brass catcher on all semi-auto guns used during the drive-by.
Make sure the vehicle is dark colored, plain, nothing that would attract attention or make people remember it.
That’s all I can think of for now. Did I miss anything important?
I have actually practiced shooting my pistol from inside my car at targets placed in front of the berm as I slowly drive past.
As I am a lefty, shooting left handed out the drivers side was easy.
Shooting out the passenger side was a lot harder and less accurate.
The ejected brass casings made permanent marks on my roof liner.
Hence the brass catcher.
What I was thinking of was “no evidence left behind”.
Use a stolen gun and it just won’t matter
Pro Tips:
“Borrow” the vehicle, make sure it only has two pedals, some rides have three and the transmission doesn’t work.
It isn’t super important, but make sure you have the right house.
Volume trumps accuracy but aim for just under and around the windows. That is where most people hide so they can peek out.
You can only put ten bullets in a HiPoint so use something bigger.
HiPoint is a fine “throw away” gun.
Ear plugs/muffs…and a proper caliber to punch thru walls and sech.
Love the score today. The pr0n?…not so much.
Poor victim selection skillz in Lincoln County.
Good on the homeowner for defending family and home.

That Yippie som’btch is right! To that point: men can’t be women, women can’t be Rangers or Infantrymen, the 2020 (s)election was treason, CovAIDS ain’t real, and the vaxXxxxx is a binary kill weapon to destroy the West’s capability to protect itself in this next phase of WW3 that we got ourselves into by subverting the legitimate government of Ukraine and installed a one-world-government satanist sock puppet.

An armed “sovereign citizen” inside a VA hospital
learns what it feels like to be tazed.
In the nuts.
The encounter begins at 3:30 here.
Nuts shot at 7:50.
This, after already being tased (lightly through a jacket), disarmed,
and then still refusing to stand up.
Gee Whiz.
WHEN was this video taken?
Can’t believe the young lady wanted the LEO to put a mask on…Give Me A Break!
We STILL see folks walking outside wearing masks, driving cars wearing masks AND gloves…Even at Theme Parks near our AO.
To each his own, BUT…
The irony of all of this? They were all, I repeat ALL morbidly OBESE…We watched one obese Dude plopped onto a bench in hot, humid weather and proceeded to LIGHT UP A CIGARETTE after taking off his mask so he could smoke. That was AFTER he scarfed copious amounts of greasy fried foods and guzzled a huge cup of drink, most likely soda.
You can’t make this stuff up.
🤔
🙄
It’s OK, it was a diet soda.
Good frickin’ grief! It’s a tossup between the VA bureaucrat wanting the cops to mask up and the sovereign citizen/patient carrying concealed in a federal property, as to who is the bigger dumbass… 🙄

“Sovereign Citizen” Arrested With Gun At VA Clinic”
https://alachuachronicle.com/sovereign-citizen-arrested-with-gun-at-va-clinic/
“Hugh Lawrence Machen, 66, was arrested yesterday after allegedly bringing a gun into the VA Optometry Clinic at 5533 SW 64th Street.”
“According to the arrest report, Machen arrived at the clinic for an appointment and was asked to leave for unknown reasons. He then allegedly went out to the parking lot, retrieved a pistol that he concealed under his jacket, and returned to the clinic. Staff put him in a room at the back and called 911.”
“Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and made contact with Machen, who reportedly told them he was armed. He was informed that it’s a federal felony to carry a concealed weapon on federal property, even with a concealed weapons permit, but Machen reportedly said the law didn’t apply to him. Deputies reported that he would not comply with commands to stand up and not reach for his weapon; instead, he allegedly grabbed the handle of the pistol under his jacket.”
“A deputy instructed Machen to release the pistol, and he reportedly pulled it out of the holster instead, holding it for a second and then placing it on the seat next to him. He reportedly refused to move away from the weapon. A deputy deployed his Taser, which had no effect because of Machen’s leather jacket. The deputy deployed the Taser again, at which point Machen was placed in handcuffs.”
*Continue*
“A search of Machen reportedly found a holster, an “Environmental Deputy Marshall” badge, handcuffs, and several handmade law enforcement identification cards. He also reportedly had several pieces of paper in his wallet with “ID” on them, which he said were his identification. Machen reportedly does not hold a concealed weapons permit in any state, and when asked, he reportedly said that the laws of Florida and the United States of America do not apply to him because he is a Sovereign Citizen.”
“Machen has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and resisting arrest without violence. He is being held on $12,000 bond.”

And here’s hoping that since he didn’t graduate from high school until 1973, he isn’t authorized a Viet of the Nam era NDSM. / s
Update: He’s dead, Jim. Passed 09 Jan 2023, Headstone inscription says: FR US NAVY VIETNAM
Claw is correct!

Claw, what we discovered is that if one served during the Vietnam Era, but never was boots on the ground, the VA still allows a Headstone to have “Vietnam” inscribed on it. Yes, that ninja family member has 3 NDSM.
One member of the ninja family joined the Army during the Vietnam Era. We already decided that “Vietnam” was NOT going to be on the Headstone. We had family that were there, i.e. Vietnam. Not Thailand. Not Guam. Not Stateside.
The conflicts where we were Boots On The Ground? Yes, we will have those on our headstone.
Machen reminds us of this Dude who told folks he was a Vietnam POW. He even looks like him…his wife or him posing as his wife commented on TAH:

Turns out, Steve Valcke spent less than one month in the Air Force and got out during Basic Training. He hurt his foot during training and was discharged.
We are still trying to figure out how he got a NDSM.
Valcke got caught…here is the newspaper article on him.
