I saw a comment on the St. Louis paper to which this is originally linked. One former Marine poster said it best (paraphrasing)–“Would you prefer to be inconvenienced by a funeral procession on I-270, or perhaps a few IED’s and RPG’s?”

They do things differently in Canada. The busiest highway in Canada, #401 is shut down when a hearse comes from the military airport in Trenton. Even in sub-zero temperatures 1000’s of people gather on the overpasses to show their respect.
Google “highway of heroes” to see them pass.
We need more like the good sheriff. Alot of folks here dont understand the meaning of serving your country. They need to be reminded every once in a while. Im glad the the SFC had such a Patriotic escort to his final resting place.
