NY red flag law ruled unconstitutional
JUSTIN COOPER
New York’s red flag law has been ruled unconstitutional, knocking down a key gun control measure as the state pushes revamped gun laws through the courts.New York’s “Extreme Risk Protection Order” law, enacted in 2019, allowed people to request that firearms be temporarily seized from their owners if they’re deemed likely to seriously harm themselves or others.
But in a late December decision, New York Supreme Court ruled the law “does not sufficiently protect a citizen’s rights” and is “hereby dismissed, in its entirety.”
The ruling came as the state’s new gun control framework remains under a flurry of litigation after being overturned by a landmark Supreme Court ruling over the summer, as reported by the New York Times.

I’ll make the assumption the gentleman lost this particular footrace. Tough to beat close to 1200 feet per second after all. Thanks again, Gun Bunny.

“When you are running down the street on fire, people will get out of your way!”
One wonders what compelled the little firebug to target an immigration services building. I bet there is more to follow on that.
Gun control means hitting your target. I have been a victim of false accusations. It is not fun.
“…upper part of his right leg,” Homeowner shoulda aimed a little more to the left.
A trifecta of perps “hotfooting” today. 2 of them…literally. We may see this one again.
Lubs me a nice wheelie. Keeps their heads down until one can bring up the heavies.
“…a lightweight snubby…” “…just happens to be round in the in the middle.” No need to be insulting.
I hope the fire bugs were caught. I wonder if they are illegal aliens to boot.
A wheel gun is a real gun.
My favs are in .357 Mag using JHP – they’ll make an attacker notice when they’ve been shot. Briefly.
Been thinking about a heavy duty wheel gun in 44Mag for when I go camping in the Rockies. Yeah, bear country. I don’t think even a 45ACP would do more then tickle one of those walking floor rugs. Need to start saving my pennies.
