Republicans’ retaking the House and Senate poses a threat to our way of life

| November 2, 2022

Hillary Clinton appeared as a guest on MSNBC’s “TheReidOut”. Joy Reid and Hillary Clinton discussed their opinions regarding the apparent “lack of understanding” Americans have of “the threat to our way of life” that a Republican Congress would have. They believed that Social Security, and Medicare, would be among the programs that would be under threat in the hands of a Republican majority.

From Fox News:

I think that with all of the noise that we’ve gotten in this election season I don’t think that people are really able to grasp that. But more importantly, I’m not sure they really understand the threats to their way of life. They may think that whoever’s chairing a committee, you know, kind of abstract. But the Republicans in the House and others like the chair of the Republican Senate Campaign Committee [Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla.] are on record saying they’re going to put Social Security and Medicare up for a vote,” Clinton claimed.

Sen. Scott, chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, revealed an “11-Point Plan” in February which included the proposal that “All federal legislation sunsets in 5 years. If a law is worth keeping, Congress can pass it again.” Though Democrats have seized on this as evidence of a GOP plan to cut Social Security and Medicare, both Sens. Scott and Republican leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., have confirmed they would not be eliminated.

Clinton continued, “Now I don’t understand why every American, not just people eligible for those two programs that they have paid into that they have worked hard for, that they have earned, are not up in arms. We’ve got lots of problems right now in our country. We need sensible people to come together to try and solve them. The last thing we need is to make life even harder for the vast majority of Americans because it’s not just seniors who would have Medicare and Social Security on the chopping block. It would be their children and their grandchildren who would have to step in and fill the hole that they had left.”

Clinton repeatedly denounced Republicans for “violent rhetoric” that she claimed led to the attack on Pelosi’s husband and was “disqualifying for people who are running for office” and further proof that the GOP s [sic] a threat to democracy.

“I didn’t see a big outpouring on the part of elected officials to stand with Nancy Pelosi the way she has stood with Republicans as well as Democrats in times of real terror like on Jan. 6. So ask yourselves, please, why would you entrust power to people who they themselves are unable to see how terrible it is that someone may be attacked in their home or don’t really care because they somehow think it’ll get them votes or get them elected? This is a real threat to the heart of democracy,” Clinton said.

A brain that small only required a light rinse.

She is 100% correct. Depending on the definition of “our”.

Yeah, so a raging hemp jewelry making, nudist, conservative 🙄 attacked Peolsi. Hard right is exactly what I think of with pot smoking nudists. Un huh. Kind of curious to see the rest of his hit list.

Hack Stone

If a nudist was wearing a MAGA hat, would they still be considered to be naked?

5JC

I checked with the AANR website and it has to be a Tilley Hat.

Mason

And by some accounts an illegal immigrant. Lots of illegal immigrants in the MAGA movement, right?

UpNorth

Were they both in their underwear when somebody broke the door window? The one where the glass fell outside the house?

rgr769

Yes, because illegal aliens are so in favor of illegal aliens being deported.

Hack Stone

We need sensible people to come together to try and solve them. The last thing we need is to make life even harder for the vast majority of Americans….

And voting for Democrats will make life easier for Americans how?

I can’t prove this, but I’d bet a shekel or three that the lineage of the HildeBeast traces all the way back to the Witch of Endor.

The utter disdain this c*nt has shown for America over the last half century is astounding. The sheer smugness and belief that most Americans “lack understanding” shows how stupid she thinks people really are.

Why the fuk is she worried about the rhinos taking over both houses. Last time the rhinos had both houses, they didn’t do a fukin thing.

jeff LPH 3 63-66

I forgot to add in that we need a 4th political party. We already have 3 loser parties which are the demoRatic party, rhino republican party and the lame stream media political party and the 4th party should be a Conservative Political Party. If things go south, I’ll have to take my star of David off off my dog tag chain and replace it with a Swastika so the new Gestapo/FBI arm of the demoRatic political Regime won’t throw me into the 3 Brothers Pizza oven in the Oriole shopping plaza if I question the election or the $$$$$$$ making Chi-Com vaccine companies. That’s the fact Jack and I’ll see you later Alligator on the next post.DOOWOPPSHUBOPP

There are significantly more real republicans running for office now. They get in, the establishment republicans will have to start doing their jobs or get shitcanned too.

A free and fair election has always been a threat to the democrat party.

A Proud Infidel®™

Very true, just look at how batshit crazy the D-rats go every time someone tries to purge dead people from the voter rolls!

UpNorth

That’s why the dems are telling us that it may take “several days” to count the votes. Gotta find out how many votes they need to throw elections.

A free and fair election is an opportunity for people to tell Democrats “Stick it!” and must be prevented, comrade!

Did HRC mention Social Security?

Gotta love it…

“White House Deletes Tweet Flagged By Twitter That Credited Biden For Social Security Payment Increase. The Tweet Came Down Without Explanation From The White House”

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/white-house-deletes-tweet-flagged-twitter-credited-biden-social-security-payment-increase

” The White House deleted a tweet that credited “President Biden’s leadership” for the increase in Social Security payments, which was flagged by Twitter as something that was actually caused by a 40-year high in inflation.”

“Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their Social Security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership,” the White House tweeted.”

“The White House tweet was accompanied by a note from Twitter that said many readers were adding “context” to the WH message that said the rise in Social Security payments was “due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate.”

Technically, he IS responsible for the increase. It’s just not victory they assumed.

Any discussion between Joy Reid and The Hildebeast would be like a discussion between Ralph Wiggum and Cletus Spuckler.

Look at Castro in San Antonio as a running mate or possible secretary of state. He’s (good people) and I have faith and confidence in him. Look after Bill. He was always my favorite President. Chelsea grew up to be one hell of an attractive woman. No disrespect to her husband.”

I’m good friend with a gay couple (unless you’re my mother, my girlfriend, or my daughter, I don’t give two shits who anyone sleeps with – as long as it’s consensual) who saved a bottle of Lafite from ‘81 to drink when Reagan died. They had hoped he would do more for gay rights while in office. I’m both proud and ashamed that I refused a glass.

They’re friends, and I’ll never disavow them over political disagreements, but I’ve always found their reasoning on that particular issue disagreeable. Disgusting, if I’m being honest.

Thinking of Hillary and her overdue time in Hell… I’m never going to celebrate death (even with Bin Laden’s death, monsters have children, too), but I have a deeper appreciation for my friends’ point of view.

Yet, principle only goes so far, if anyone is saving an ‘81 Lafite for Hillary’s death – I won’t turn down a glass.

None of that Frenchie shit. A nice, old single malt, probably a MacAllan 18 or older. Naturally, there will be options for those who don’t care for Scotch such as Jefferson’s Ocean Aged bourbon or my personal stand-by Canadian Club 12. And, yes, I have sipped on decent champagne in the past (Dom, Perrier Jouet, etc) but if I’m drinking bubbly, I’ll go with a nice Cava from Spain. Damn fine and very reasonably priced.

Hate_me

I won’t turn down a single-malt, but I’m not a huge fan of MacAllan (I honestly prefer their 12 to their 18).

If you can find a pre-Suntory Glengarioch, I’ll gladly pay one’s airfare for a TAH tasting.

No one worth drinking with is unwilling to sample a decent Scotch, but I’ll posit that the Yamazaki Valley is the sixth region for those who may have a Hibernian stick up their ass when it comes to proper whisky.

MustangCPT

Haven’t tried too much in terms of Japanese whisky or gone too much in depth on that style, but I have had a couple of varieties of Suntory (can’t remember which, offhand) that I enjoyed. It can get to be a pretty expensive hobby so I’m taking it slow. I honestly like all styles of whisky. Just certain things I won’t drink like Jack, Jim Beam, J&B, Dewars, Seagrams VO, etc. I shudder just at the thought of those. Now, don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of inexpensive whiskeys that have surprised me. For example, the standard Canadian Club is good for the price and Evan Williams entry level bourbon was surprisingly good, far better than Jack or Jim Beam.
