First we had Corn Pop (among others) that Biden waxes on about in rambling, barely coherent statements on his past accomplishments. Last year Biden made the claim he used to drive a tractor-trailer. Of course, as with most of what Biden says (from the way his wife and daughter died, his business dealings with his son, his interactions with people on the Amtrak, and on and on) it’s all a lie. Even the far-left Politico rated it as patently false. He never drove truck.
What does Biden do when he lies about something and gets caught? He just keeps telling the lie. So it was that today he repeated the lie that he drove truck once upon a time, even as a sitting senator. To make his story more believable (?) he adds the colorful characters of “Big Ten” and “Big Mama” to his long repetoire of imaginary friends. Watch this below. Don’t forget “I was a very powerful man” isn’t even the craziest thing said in this 42 seconds.

Sadly, I’ve seen exactly this kind of behavior before in a now-deceased family member.
Patients in earlier stages of dementia begin conflating memories – of things that happened to them, of things they heard about, of things other people told them, and of things they read. They then will tell you amazing stories about their past based on a “mix and match” of conflated memories. These stores are generally near-complete BS, and you know with certainty they are BS (sometimes because you were there yourself). But they believe them wholeheartedly nonetheless.
Biden’s a proven serial liar. But I’m seriously beginning to wonder how much of a grasp he has on reality – and how much he’s mentally still there.

Went through the same thing with my mom and my mother-in-law. It’s (usually) a long, sad process.
It is sad, and infuriating as well.
Biden had dug his own septic tank and is now swimming in it, and in many ways he is solely responsible for his current state, yet…
it is sad to see how a senile, lost, stumbling old man is used by those around him to pursue their personal agendas and profits.
Dad had lost a lot of his brilliance after a series of strokes, and entered the slow decline. But we cared for him (mostly our single brother doing the day-to-day) and he got to die at home, loved and honored.
Biden spent his career using others for his personal gain, and now he himself is being used. Sad poetic justice, and a real tragedy.

Biden has been doing it for years, so I doubt it is senile dementia. I have known a few guys in their early 20s who also lived part-time in their own reality. Sometimes Walter Mitty takes over.
Up until the last few years I’d have agreed with you, timactual. But the mid/late 70s is often when dementia begins to be noticeably symptomatic. Per Wikipedia, nearly 20% of those between ages 75 and 84 have dementia.
Biden is 79. My impression is that Biden has gotten substantially more prone to making false off-the-cuff claims and/or making public statements showing highly questionable judgement during the last 5 years or so. And, FWIW: age 79 is when my late relative became noticeably symptomatic in their dementia and was diagnosed with same.
I’m no doctor, and I could well be wrong; frankly, I hope I am. I’d much rather the POTUS be mentally competent, even if I don’t agree with their actions, than out-of-touch with reality.
But I’m really starting to wonder.
Whatever his mental acuity, it is obvious that he is a meat puppet; and someone else is calling the shots. His handlers are likely telling his what to do every waking hour, IMHO.

Just because one family of Shartles can’t find him in their genealogy, nor record of said colonel from the Revolution, hardly makes me jump to the idea that the sign is faulty.
Given the date on the sign, I would assume his service would have predated both the US Army and the Revolutionary War. He may have fought in one of the French and Indian Wars or one of the many wars that occurred around the world, mid-18th century – or he may have never fought and his time as a “pioneer settler and soldier” was simultaneous.
I don’t know if he ever really existed, but nothing in that article proves he didn’t.
