Accused carjacker realizes too late he’s trying to steal a police car, Missouri cops say

A suspected Missouri carjacker realized too late that the vehicle he was trying to steal was a police SUV, and his would-be victims were officers, St. Louis police told news outlets.

Officers were responding to a shots fired call in downtown St. Louis, near the intersection of Chouteau Avenue and South 7th Street around 3 a.m. on March 19, KMOV reported.

A 27-year-old man walked out into the street, blocking the SUV — which was fully marked — and moved up to the passenger side, aiming a gun at the two occupants, according to KTVI.

The officers drove away to a safe distance “while the suspect simultaneously discovered he was attempting to carjack a fully marked police car,” police told the outlet. “The suspect took off running.”

The two officers told dispatch what happened and gave a description of the suspect, KSDK reported.

A short time later, officers found the man about a block away and he was arrested in a restaurant parking lot, the TV station reported.

St. Louis prosecutors will not charge man arrested for trying to carjack police officers

Prosecutors in St. Louis, Missouri, declined filing charges against a man who allegedly attempted to carjack a marked police SUV while two officers were inside, according to police.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department sought charges of first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and resisting arrest against a 27-year-old suspect who allegedly tried to carry out the carjacking Saturday.

A spokeswoman for the police said Monday that the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office refused to file charges, the St. Louis Dispatch reported.

A spokeswoman for Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner told 5 On Your Side the case “is under investigation,” but declined answering why charges weren’t filed.

Fox News Digital reached out to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office early Tuesday morning.

Police said officers responded to a report of shots fired Saturday morning at about 3 a.m. in the city. The officers in the marked police SUV said a man stepped in front of their car as it was moving, before the man stood next to the passenger’s window and pointed a gun.

The man ran off when he realized it was a police vehicle, according to the officers.

The two officers called dispatch and provided a description of the man. The suspect was apprehended in the parking lot of a nearby restaurant. Police found he was carrying a gun during a search.

The suspect, who was not named in local media reports, is facing other previous charges in the St. Louis area, including domestic assault, violating an order of protection and first-degree property damage, according to 5 On Your Side.

Utah man accused of trying to kidnap a woman told police he had confused the victim for his wife, police say

Police earlier this week arrested a Utah man accused of trying to stuff a woman into the trunk of his car.

The man, from Logan, Utah, told police he initially believed the victim was his wife, The Salt Lake City Tribune reported.

Police told The Tribune that the man was parked by a sidewalk on Tuesday when a woman was walking by his car. He stepped out of the car when he saw her and opened the trunk.

Then he came up to the woman as she passed by and began “pulling her violently” toward his trunk, police told The Tribune. She fell down while fighting back and trying to defend herself, and the man began tugging on her purse.

The woman held onto the bag, and the man then punched her in the face, The Tribune reported, before driving away “at a high rate of speed.” The incident was captured by surveillance video.

He was caught by Brigham City police officers, who then contacted Logan City police.

The Logan City Police Department did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for more information.

The man told Logan officers that he and his wife had argued at home prior to the incident. He also said he had been drinking, according to The Tribune.

He told the officers he believed the woman walking along the sidewalk was his wife and he wanted to “grab her and put her in the car to go home.”

When the man realized the woman he was holding was not his wife, he let her go and ran away, he said, adding that he did not remember striking her or snatching her purse.

The man was arrested while police investigate him for potential charges in aggravated kidnapping, robbery, assault, and traffic.

Not sure how violently beating and abducting your wife is a viable defense, but I wish him luck. Maybe he’ll get a jury full of brow-beaten married men that will sympathize.

Family Dumps Dog At Shelter Because They Fear Dog Is Gay

I have my doubts that this really happened.

A North Carolina dog was reportedly dropped off at a local shelter because his owners believed he was gay and did not want him.

Fezco, a mutt who weighs approximately 50 pounds and is about 4 or 5 years old, was dumped at the Stanly County Animal Shelter after his owners surrendered him for humping a male dog, WCCB reported. The shelter reportedly said Fezco is a friendly pooch and gets along well with other animals and people.

The shelter has reportedly asked other local rescues to foster Fezco as he waits to be adopted, though it is unclear whether the request has been fulfilled.

Despite the owners’ alleged fear of their dog being gay, it is normal for dogs to exhibit that type of behavior, according to the ASPCA. Some male dogs will hump other male dogs “as a display of social status or to establish control,” according to PetGuide.

The Daily Caller has reached out to the Stanly County Animal Shelter but did not receive a response at the time of publication.

South Carolina boater who fatally shot jet skier he tried to rescue had no choice, slain man’s pal says

Well this escalated quickly.

The boater who rescued a jet skier from drowning in a South Carolina lake and then fatally shot him had no choice after the man went berserk, the victim’s friend told investigators.

“Nothing worked,” Hannah Ayers, 19, said of trying to calm down Drew Morgan, 29 on the afternoon of March 15 in Lake Keowee, according to an incident report obtained by Fox News Digital.

“John just had to shoot him,” she said of stranger John Dotson Jr. 74, who she credited with saving her life after she and Morgan fell off a jet ski near Fall Creek.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office previously announced that Dotson would not be charged in Morgan’s death.

Ayers told the Daily Mail that Morgan became belligerent and violent after the Good Samaritan, who was fishing with his wife Debra Dotson, 70, spotted the pair struggling in the water and pulled the two onto their pontoon.

“Drew was my friend and I will mourn him as my friend,” she said. “But I will never understand the way he was acting that day – it’s like a demon possessed his body.”

She added, “In my eyes there was no question that John had to shoot to protect himself and his wife. He will be my hero for life because, if it wasn’t for him, I would have drowned in the water that day.”

Ayers told investigators that Morgan had invited her to go jet skiing and look at waterfalls that day. But when she met up with him, he was clearly drunk and “slurring his words,” the incident report says.

Morgan began speeding on the jet ski and took a sharp turn, ejecting them both into the water. Neither of them had on life vests, and Ayers said she was a poor swimmer and could barely stay above water as the yellow jet ski circled nearby.

The Dotsons spotted the pair in distress and rescued them – but Morgan became agitated, cussed out the couple, then shoved the elderly wife all while demanding they take him back to his jet ski.

There was snot and foam streaming from his nose and mouth, the Good Samaritan-turned-shooter told investigators.

A wild melee ensued and Morgan choked John and Debra Dotson, as he tried to take control of the boat, breaking the kill switch and making the vessel inoperable, the report says.

“All Drew cared about was getting his jet ski back,” Ayers told authorities. Ayers started hitting Morgan to get him to stop assaulting the couple and finally shoved him off the boat.

But the Dotsons pulled the combative young man back onto their pontoon, and the conflict rapidly escalated.

John Dotson said he fired a warning shot and repeatedly pistol whipped Morgan, who had grabbed hold of his arm. But the crazed man wouldn’t back down, and Dotson finally blasted him in the chest.

Debra Dotson immediately began performing CPR – but Morgan no longer had a pulse when deputies arrived.

After a 48-hour investigation, officials told the slain man’s family that the shooter would not be charged. The sheriff’s office also met with the 10th circuit solicitor’s office who agreed with the decision after reviewing 911 calls, witness statements and videos, the incident report says.

Officials executed a search warrant on Morgan’s white GMC pickup truck and recovered empty cans of Michelob Ultra in the front cab, marijuana and drug paraphernalia – including a bong, pipes and a blunt.

Investigators are awaiting the results of a toxicology report.

Morgan is survived by a 10-year-old son.

Mr Biden Goes to Europe

Lastly, our imbecilic president is reassuring our allies in NATO while on a trip through Europe this week. If you thought Kamala’s European Vacation was a shitshow, wait until you hear what Biden’s been up to.

Among just a couple of highlights, Biden says that we (NATO) will respond to a Russian use of chemical weapons in Ukraine “in-kind”, which would lead one to think he’s referring to a counter-use of chemical weapons. We don’t have chemical weapons any more. US policy for decades has been to respond to a confirmed chemical or biological weapons attack from a foreign government with nuclear weapons. I guess we’re threatening nuclear war now.

Biden also rambled spoke with the troops stationed there. He mentioned the many admirable attributes of the Ukrainian people. Then he told them “you’re going to see when you’re there.”

As usual, Biden’s handlers had to immediately enter damage control. The NY Post said;

A White House official quickly clarified that Biden wasn’t changing his stance on deploying the military into Ukraine.

“The president has been clear we are not sending US troops to Ukraine and there is no change in that position,” a Biden spokesman told The Post.

The Post’s article has photos of Biden with the troops. The troops, with a couple of exceptions, do not seem enthused to be in the glorious leader’s presence.
