Police shot Broward man dead as, they say, he choked his wife in front of their baby

David J. Neal, Miami Herald
A Sunday morning domestic violence call ended with a Special Response Team officer shooting a man dead in his bedroom, Margate police say.

Following standard procedure, the officer who shot Pierrot has been placed on administrative leave, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will investigate the shooting.

Police say “a concerned family member” called Sunday at 7:11 a.m. about a possible domestic violence problem at 6984 NW 1 St., a house Pierrot and his wife bought in July, according to Broward County Property Records. When police got there, they say they heard screaming inside as well as a baby crying. Family members told police Pierrot, his wife and their 1-year-old baby were in the house.

Police say they shot Louisson Pierrot, 38, to save the life of his wife because Pierrot was “actively choking” her. And, they say, she had just said on a phone call with them that she feared for her life as well as that of their 1-year-old child.

GBI: Savannah police shot Ellabell man after he pointed a gun at officers

Will Peebles, Savannah Morning News
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation on Monday released their report of an officer-involved shooting on Saturday, during which Savannah police shot an armed robbery suspect who pointed his gun at an officer during a chase.

GBI’s preliminary investigation found that Savannah police were approached by a man around 4:25 a.m. Saturday.

He told them he was robbed at gunpoint and provided police with a description of the man who he said robbed him, as well as a name: Zachary Smith. The description and call details were put out over the radio, the GBI report read.

Later, an officer located a man fitting the description in an area between White Bluff Road and Abercorn Street. The GBI said Savannah police chased Smith through an apartment complex and commercial business area, ending in the parking lot of Home Source Rentals located at 9133 White Bluff Road.

A state may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the federal constitution… The power to impose a license tax on the exercise of these freedoms is indeed as potent as the power of censorship which this Court has repeatedly struck down… a person cannot be compelled ‘to purchase, through a license fee or a license tax, the privilege freely granted by the constitution.’ —MURDOCK V. Quick! Hide the linkie article! Don’t let Gun Bunny read it! He’ll have a case of the vapors and require the fainting couch and smelling salts!
Why? Because the article does not mention, even once, “designed by” or “inspired from” anything from St JMB (Howitzer Be His Name).
Yes, yes, the article mentions 1911s, but mainly as guns to stay away from per the article’s discussed caliber 10mm.
The horror!

Too late Tox, I done been incensed. Fortunately, I generally have a bacon infused cathead, Mr. Cookie Bar, and a cup of Joe fortified with some Crown close by while perusing the FGS FIRST thing of a morning, just in case. Home Boy reviewer couldn’t say a whole bunch about His Most Saintly JMB (Howitzer Be His Name) due to the fact that he was too busy deep throating the Plasticized Abominations of Glock. He even indicated his *choke*. One must take notice of his statement of “Don’t get me wrong, I love a 1911…” Me thinks he may be suffering from some “pistol envy”. Maybe he should buy this… 😜

KoB,
My apologies for not being Social Media adept enough to know, but what does a box of sea shells, a box wrench, and two binder clips have to do with Glock Fan Boys aka Choi Boys…except neither has anything to do with the holy relic created by his most saintly John Moses Browning?

https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/smith-wesson/auto-pistols-sw/1006 might want to rethink that last… look at the schematic from Numrich and you can see that while S&W changed a few thingts, there is enough common ancestry with a 1911/P35 to make them all at minimum kissin’ cousins.

Was up at Numrich Arms many years ago when they had the large bill board sign with a cannon barrel sticking out shooting a propane flame out of it. Used to get their catalogues.

And just before I saw your drawer full of shells M1 Ranger, I was going to ask what gun fires those seashells, or did you buy them from Sally who sells sea shells at the sea shore. M1 brings memories of my M 1 thumb from an earlier time on the OKIE 3 hanger bay going through inspection arm if I remember.

MI Ranger, that collection is what GFB/CB got when he told his Gen Z wifey that he wanted a 10mm, a coupla clips, and a box of shells for his Birthday Gift. 🤗
