What is this assclown talking about, Part Deux

Stoltz:

We’ve got to pass this energy bill, and if we do that it can reduce our dependance on foreign oil by a quarter or a third…

Got a source on that one?

Of course he doesn’t. This bill does no such thing and he knows it. Yet again stealing the name of Veterans and using it to bludgeon a political point. This bill will drive low ranking enlisted men and women further in debt, and Jon couldn’t give a shit, so long as his overlords are pleased with his effort.

Thankfully this bill has no chance of passage, but here’s Jon showing his stripes again. Everytime he says that he works on behalf of veterans, we’ll be there to call him on his bullshit.

The worst part? The part that no “journalist” will highlight?

The way it “decreases dependence on foreign oil” isn’t because they’ll be increasing supply domestically, it’s because oil will be so expensive with all the added taxes that we won’t be able to afford it.

In other words, since the use of energy is directly related to standard of living, they’ll lower the standard of living to accomplish that goal.

And if most Americans knew that, this bill wouldn’t have a chance of passing. All they know is that it’ll “decrease our dependancy on foreign oil”.

We are so screwed.

Old Tanker

It will increase our dependance on foriegn oil by simply decreasing domestic production. I currently work for a utility. Our wonderful Governor has decided that we need to produce 10% of our energy from renewable rescources. Of course we need rate increases to cover the cost of going out and buying freaking windwills that don’t turn in the summer because there is no wind (that’s peak electric demand too!!) So of course the general population is mad about higher energy bills….do you think they are mad at the Governor or us?

We need to -Gasp- follow the French on this one and build more nuclear plants instead of mimicking the policies of the Spanish.

This dude needs to clue in on his limits. I know that my ‘subject matter expertise’ on Iraq is probably obsolete within a few months of my redeployment–I wouldn’t dream that it somehow qualifies me to argue the foreign policy attributes of Cap & Trade.

Someone should ask this tool exactly how/why this bill will impact Iraqi oil revenues or GOI efforts at funding Foreign Internal Defense and watch him stutter and drool in response.

I can’t watch, or listen, to this moron anymore. Every time I do, my IQ drops 10 points.
