Maine governor threatens President Trump with court action over male in female sports
President Donald Trump spoke at a governor’s summit held at the White House. A video segment shown on social media shows Trump talking about males participating in female sports. Trump singled out Maine and called for Maine’s governor. After she voiced her presence, Trump warned her to comply with the order banning males from female sports. Trump warned her that Maine could lose federal funding if they continued their policy. Maine’s governor threatened Trump with court action:

“You better comply, because otherwise you’re not getting any … federal funding,” Trump told Mills at a governors’ summit at the White House on Friday. “By the way, your population, even though it’s somewhat liberal — although I did very well there — your population doesn’t want men playing in women’s sports.”
Mills said she’d see Trump in court, but Trump replied, “Good, I’ll see you in court. I look forward to that. That should be a real easy one. And, enjoy your life after governor, because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics.”
Immediately following the exchange, the Department of Education sent a letter to Maine Department of Education Commissioner Pender Makin over “allegations that it continues to allow male athletes to compete in girls’ interscholastic athletics and that it has denied female athletes female-only intimate facilities, thereby violating federal antidiscrimination law.”
The investigation includes an inquiry into a Maine school district where a male student who claims to be a female at Greely High School competed against girls and stole first place in the girls’ pole vaulting championship.
The Department of Education told schools across the country to drop their policies allowing men in women’s sports and DEI initiatives because they violate civil rights law, including Title IX. The department threatened to revoke federal education funding from any state or locality that does not comply, as Trump promised to do with Maine specifically on Thursday. Maine’s K-12 schools serve to lose $250 million, according to the Portland Press Herald.

It didn’t seem to be a problem when Obama and Biden threatened to withhold federal dollars to states that won’t follow their policies.
Wasn’t a problem in the eighties when Reagan threatened to withhold federal highway funds from states that wouldn’t raise the legal drinking age to 21. IIRC, Wyoming sent him a check for the full amount they’d received. Said they wouldn’t submit to federal extortion. They eventually caved but the point was made.
Wasn’t a problem in the 70s either when the national speed limit went to 55 for all.
Trump should re-open Loring or at least threaten to.

The whole Democrat party is sham. The party that “protects” women actively works against them. They can’t define a woman, so that makes sense. Dems love to beat up on women, steal their awards, and let perverts into female spaces. It doesn’t work the other way because guys can’t be threatened by a wanna-be ‘man’.
In order for the Dems to “protect women”, they must first create threats to women, and also create “women”. This plan has worked well for race hustlers for decades, they just adapted the previous OPORD.
I am pretty sure other governors attending are guilty of their states doing the same thing. This was a shot across their bow to take heed. Gov. Scott of Vermont was there and hopefully he will see to it that things change in the Green Mtn State.
