Joe Biden’s low approval ratings a sign of ungratefulness?
Joy Reid insinuated such when she tried to explain why Joe Biden’s poll numbers are low. She mentioned the stimulus checks that people received, the infrastructure bill, as well as the fact that people got their COVID-19 shots. She continued on to say that despite this, people are telling those conducting surveys that Joe Biden has done nothing.

“I hate to really dwell on polls because they’re ephemeral and at this point in many of their presidencies a lot of presidents faced a crisis of public confidence, and Joe Biden faces a massive ongoing COVID nightmare that is harming his numbers. His numbers are pretty low right now,” she said.
“Sure,” Beschloss said.
“There are also a lot of Americans who despite having gotten the shots and checks are still telling pollsters that he’s accomplished nothing or almost nothing, which I find amazing. I guess they spent the whole $2,000 and now they’re not happy anymore,” Reid said. “Does this matter? Should we think about this in terms of those polling numbers?”
Beschloss, an open supporter of Biden, said with the midterms a year away there was still hope that the newly signed infrastructure law, as well as the sprawling, nearly $2 trillion Build Back Better social policy package that still languishes in Congress, could help jump-start the economy.
Reid appeared to be referring to the stimulus checks that were sent out as part of the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package Biden signed into law this year, although they were for $1,400, not $2,000.
Biden’s woes appear to be connected to continuing concerns over inflation and ongoing supply chain issues, which are leaving Americans financially strapped and worried heading into the holidays.

Dunno about that. As I see it, what the guy lays out is the only likely way she leaves that office prior to 2024.
There are 4 ways a VP leaves office: death, removal for incompetency/incapacity under the 25th Amendment, resignation, or impeachment.
Impeachment simply ain’t gonna happen.
Assassination is extremely unlikely – and Harris is far younger than Biden and apparently in excellent health. So death is almost certainly not going to come into play.
There’s no way she gets removed under the 25th Amendment unless her health drastically changes, either – and Biden REALLY doesn’t want to “go there” anyway, for obvious reasons.
Thus her voluntary resignation is the only likely way she leaves the office of VP (it’s an elective Federal office, so Biden can’t simply fire her). And I don’t see her leaving voluntarily for anything less than a SC appointment.
Edited to add: of course, I guess it’s always possible she’ll agree with FDR’s first VP, John N. Garner III, who characterized being VP as “not being worth a bucket of warm piss” (the quote was bowderized as “bucket of warm spit” for years) and decides to leave office prior to 2024. But I rather doubt that will happen.
No normal people, Democrat or otherwise, believe that Joe Biden was ever a really popular candidate.
All he had to be was less objectionable than his opponent.

One of the least favorable candidates during the entire election season until “something” happened just prior to the South Carolina primary that turned a dead campaign into an unstoppable force…pretty amazing watching it unfold. Now we’re looking for reasons why he’s not popular?
He was never popular, he just wasn’t Trump.
Pretty much the same reason I voted for Trump. He wasn’t Hillary. The difference is that Trump happily surprised me and got shit done. To be honest, my expectations were not that high. I’m not a Trump worshipper, I didn’t always agree with what came out of his mouth or phone, but I absolutely loved his results. Commissar would say that makes me a “cultist”.
We’re kind of on the same page here…not at all a Trump fan, but nor did I hate him so much I couldn’t see when he was doing good work in the Oval Office.
Some folks were so filled with a vitriolic hatred they spent the entire duration of his presidency screaming about what a horrible human he was instead of addressing the needs of the nation or recognizing that as with all deeply flawed humans not everything they do is awful.
His work with the economy was good for my income and business, his notions of too many people incarcerated were inline with my thoughts as well, especially as we decriminalize and legalize weed across the country…most of those arrested and incarcerated for that shit should be released with their records expunged he and I were on the same page there…
My issue with Biden is that he has a long record of being serious lying sack of shit on a host of issues that relate to personal character or a lack thereof and still Democrats try and tell me he’s a better man than Trump…he is not at all a better man than Trump he’s simply not Trump.
