Landlord w/ Concealed Carry Permit Justified in Fatally Shooting Tenant

A landlord in Washington County, PA, who fatally shot his tenant will not face charges as the district attorney has determined he was justified in doing so.The landlord shot and killed his tenant, 36-year-old Leonard Williams Jr., after initially posting Williams’ property in arrears.
According to authorities, Williams then threw the notice on the ground and followed the landlord to his vehicle while fighting and threatening him.
Williams also tried to get into the landlord’s vehicle, and the fight continued over a struggle for control over the driver’s door. The landlord, who has a valid concealed carry license, then shot Williams, saying he feared for his life.

CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. — A man who broke into a woman’s home and attacked her in front of her child late Tuesday night was detained and held at gunpoint by neighbors until deputies arrived, according to the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies received reports of an assault and shots fired in the 700-block of Caves Highway just after midnight. Upon arrival, the deputies found 31-year-old Justin Thurman being held at gunpoint by several neighbors.
According to the Sheriff’s Office investigation, Thurman forced his way into a home in along Caves Highway. Once inside, he assaulted a woman in front of her child, stole property from her home, then tried to get away in a pickup truck.
While the man was driving off through the yard, he reportedly hit a parked car, smashed into a children’s play structure, then crashed into another house on the property and damaged it.

I’m guessing that the tenant is no longer in arrears after being shot in ‘is arrears.
