California will require students to get vaccinated
As soon as a COVID-19 vaccine gets full approval for use at a certain age group, that age group will be required to get vaccinated. This is the intent for children, in certain age groups, who are K-12. Both public and private schools in California will be impacted. Students will be able to apply for exemptions from this requirement if they qualify.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday announced the nation’s first coronavirus vaccination mandate for schoolchildren, a plan that will have all elementary through high school students get the shots once the vaccine gains final approval from the U.S. government for different age groups.
The government has fully approved the COVID-19 vaccine for those 16 and over but only granted an emergency authorization for anyone 12 to 15. Once federal regulators fully approve the vaccine for that group, the state will require students in seventh through 12th grades to get vaccinated in both public and private schools, Newsom’s office said.
The state will require the COVID-19 vaccine for students in kindergarten through sixth grade only after the federal government has given final approval for anyone 5 to 11.

I can’t believe nobody has filed a lawsuit over the approval process. That would seem to be the easiest way around these mandates. If it’s not “fully approved” any more, then it goes back to its rightful EUA.
I’ll repeat it as much as necessary. Biden’s FDA “approved” the vaccine with NO (none, zero, zilch) long-term effects studies. This vaccine was approved more than four times faster than the previous FDA approval record of four years.

There’s no comparison with previous vaccines, because this is new vaccine technology. Hastily given full approval despite showing signs of rapidly diminishing protection solely for political reasons.
I’ve taken the vax. I recommended my elderly dad with multiple health issues get it. I’m not anti-vax. I am not going to give this shit to my kids. COVID is not a concern for children or young adults.
How about the new anti-virals they’re releasing for covid (because long available generic ones don’t make any money, which is why their use is ridiculed).. if you have a simple, effective oral med that treats the ‘rona, how can the “vaxx” be justified?

Exactly. For more than a year now the data has shown that kids don’t generally get COVID. If they do get COVID, it’s very mild and they are unlikely to spread it.
COVID is not something our kids and young adults should be obsessing over. If we let them get it and get over it, we’d be better off when it comes to herd immunity.
