China mocks the United States regarding Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Taiwan

| August 16, 2021

Our enemies and adversaries watched our actions in the Middle East. China is an example. Bringing up the Fall of Saigon, and now the Fall of Kabul, China “ponders” our utility to Taiwan should China attack them.

One Global Times (CCP publication) tweet on the event:

“Yesterday’s Saigon, today’s #Afghanistan, and tomorrow’s #Taiwan?” read some online posts after #Taliban took full control of Afghanistan, putting #US failed commitment under spotlight and sounding warning bell to Taiwan secessionists.” -The Global Times

Another Global Times (CCP publication) tweet:

From what happened in Afghanistan, those in Taiwan should perceive that once a war breaks out in the Straits, the island’s defense will collapse in hours and US military won’t come to help. As a result, the DPP will quickly surrender. -The Global Times

According to the Palmieri Report, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has moved to recognize the Taliban government, “respecting the choice of the Afghan people.”

Donald Trump statement on Joe Biden’s dropping the ball. (Donald Trump/Save America)

President Trump’s statement in the photo:

“Joe Biden gets it wrong every time on foreign policy, and many other issues. Everyone knew he couldn’t handle the pressure. Even Obama’s Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, said as much. He ran out of Afghanistan instead of following the plan our Administration left for him–a plan that protected our people and our property, and ensured the Taliban would never dream of taking our Embassy or providing a base for new attacks against America. The withdrawal would be guided by facts on the ground.

“After I took out ISIS, I established a credible deterrent. That deterrent is now gone. The Taliban no longer has fear or respect for America, or America’s power. What a disgrace it will be when the Taliban raises their flag over America’s Embassy in Kabul. This is complete failure through weakness, incompetence, and total strategic incoherence.” – Donald Trump/Save America

While I have every confidence that this turn-of-events will have Commie-czar-ZEK rubbing his grubby lil stumps together with glee, those of us with any measure of prescience, KNOW this will end as badly for China as the countries they’re presently deriding. Good luck with THAT Mister Xi. If the Chinese think they can ‘charm’ the Taliban into some sort of cooperation – long or short-term – they’re as delusional AND short-sighted as they are stupid. Bottom-line: if the Chinese Gov’t thinks the Taliban are going to let it slide or give the Chinese an outright pass on their ‘Uyghur pogrom/program’, the Chinese are several hundreds miles beyond batshit-crazy. Yup. Good luck with that Mister Xi. A couple/three years from now, it’ll be the West’s turn to ask China that annoying Connie Francis question – ‘Who’s Sorry Now’?

Ah..Connie

KoB

We gonna start a pool as to when the Chinese Communists are going to jump on Taiwan? How ’bout a pool on when the Chinese Communists start the ethnic cleansing of A’stan? Neither will be pretty.

China will not have to take back Formosa by force because we will give it to them.
Those agreements to protect the island were made by “previous” administrations.
You know, kinda like Afghanistan.

Hate_me

I have a cousin teaching English in Taiwan, now.

I’m facing a potential medical retirement (trying to fight it), but have a standing job offer in the ROC.

Speaking on behalf of Americans (if not on behalf of America), we will assuredly NOT give them Formosa.

Hate_me

Even if it’s just me.

Doesn’t matter what we want. The Democrats control all 3 branches of our Gruberment. Yes. They control the SCOTUS as well, through blackmail and/or intimidation.

At least half of Americans, or near that depending on how extended was the fraud, voted for O’Biden.

Like some old philosopher said a long time ago, every people have the government they deserve. For 70 years the American people turned a blind eye to what was happening in our educational institutions. Now we are facing the consequences.

Hate_me

Hence the potential move to Taiwan.

One man can still put up a proper fight, assuming he understand leverage and high explosives (honestly, what real man doesn’t?).

Essayons!

The Other Whitey

Given the depth of the known fraud, it was nowhere near half. However, we have acquiesced to it, so the end result is the same.

Slow Joe

Taiwan is as good as gone. The Chinese are not going to miss this opportunity to profit from a greatly weakened America before the next elections.

On the other hand, if you go back in history to the 1980s, it was the Taiwanese who spearheaded foreign investments in China, on the “special economic zones” the Chicoms created to experiment with capitalism, to test their theory that they could still hang on to power while liberalizing their economy.

They were right. The Chinese people don’t care about liberty or personal freedoms, as long as they can own property and do business. That dude faced the tanks by himself on Tiananmen square for a reason.

Hate_me

Not gone, yet.

One hasty MRDB, and I’m on that line. Can’t promise I’ll win. I do promise a good show.

Roh-Dog

“That dude faced the tanks by himself on Tiananmen square for a reason.”
About that, I’d rather perish for a damned good reason in the company of friends, even if all the world is upon us.
None of us are ever alone when the cause is just and on the horizon I see mountains aplenty worth dying on.

Brushfires [of the] Mind must illuminate the world lest we be subjugated to that corrupt way. It is natural the people of China feel the same and should find themselves animated to save their posterity.

Slow Joe

Yet, he was alone.

Listen, I see and experience America as an immigrant, and as an outsider one of the things that marveled me the most was that many Americans think foreigners desire and value the same things Americans do.

People from around the world are not “essentially the same”. People’s values and beliefs are shaped by their culture, which in turn it’s the product of a long societal evolution defined by their history.

Different cultures assign different priorities to different values and beliefs. Most Chinese people are perfectly happy with their lot in life in ways an American would never be.

Their culture prioritize safety and it’s risk adverse, since failure means the “loss of face”. A common cultural theme is that the evil they know is better than the good they don’t know, as life can always become worst.

Therefore, you are wrong. It is not natural for the people of China to feel the same than you.

Hate_me

You overlook the genius of America and her founders. Our nation was built around the sense of natural rights and how they are compromised for the social compact.

I’ve personally witnessed Arabic (and Kurdish, and Persian) women in headdresses crying over the dead bodies of their children. They keen and moan in ways that no man should ever hear but in a manner that is no stranger to any man who has witnessed an American woman in the same circumstance.

We share more as human beings than we diverge.

One man may have stood before those tanks, but he spoke for thousands who had gathered in support – and countless others who couldn’t be there.

Freedom is not a trait that is bred or learned. It’s a state that is either realized or unknown, and it is inherently understood.

Bite it, Chicoms!

What a lot of people don’t realize, and just don’t seem to get, is that having a weak government and in particular a geriatric Resident Biden supposedly running the show, puts every single American in more danger. Just as with Obama, the weakness made our enemies bolder, knowing the head of state was too weak to respond to threats to Americans. Having an illigitimate pretender in there that is an escapee from an Altzheimer ward, rather than the guy who won, and by the way, scared the shit outta the Chicoms and others who want us dead, certainly is not going to turn out well if the last eight months are any indication.

I think everyone here knew the Afghan Army was a joke…

I think the surprising thing for me is having seen the 1975 Saigon evacuation I never expected to see images of people clinging to the exteriors of C-5As in a desperate attempt to escape Afghanistan.

I fully expected a plan to allow those who worked with us to come to the US either directly or through a territorial possession, like Guam as we did with some of the South Vietnamese refugees after 1975.

There is no excuse for a failure to plan for those allies of ours on the ground in Afghanistan.

Biden owns this failure, as CinC it’s his job to keep his eye on an active war zone where US troops and their allied personnel are being withdrawn to anticipate potential negative outcomes and plan to avoid that.

A temporary influx of troops to secure the passage of those who wish to exit would have been in order. A plan to destroy all our equipment of a classified nature we were leaving behind would have been in order.

None of that took place and China openly mocks us for these failures to plan.

Not at all our best moment.

I said the same shit about giving away the Panama Canal.
