Stupid criminals of the week

Missed last week, so I beg a thousand apologies. I’ll make up for it this week, I swear. First up are a couple of fast food-related crimes.

Video shows woman attacking McDonald’s workers after being told tri-flavored slushie was not an option

A furious Ohio woman was caught on tape repeatedly attacking McDonald’s employees over a slushie.

The video, originally posted to the Facebook page of a local named Brian Allen, was filmed at a Ravenna McDonald’s location on June 14. In the three days since it was posted, the video has racked up more than 2.6 million views and has collected nearly 40,000 comments from shocked viewers.

The incident supposedly began after the woman, since identified as 44-year-old Cherysse Helena Cleveland, was denied a tri-flavored slushie. Allen, speaking with local outlet Cleveland 19, said staff told her that wasn’t an option, enraging the woman. The video begins not long after this conversation, as Cleveland shoves her way behind the counter to access the slushie machine for herself.

Two female employees block Cleveland’s path to the machine, telling her to “get out” from behind the counter. Cleveland repeatedly attempts to reach one of the employees in particular but finds herself blocked by the store manager. The manager, in a stunning display of patience and composure, tries to keep the two women apart even after a swing from Cleveland hits her squarely in the side of the head.

After several tense moments, Cleveland appears to feel sudden remorse. Still behind the counter, she apologizes to the women, noting that she’s “been up all day.” In a calm and mild voice from behind her face mask, the manager tells Cleveland that she’s sorry but “you can’t be back here.”

This seems to set Cleveland off again, and she snatches the face mask off of the manager’s face before knocking several things from the counters. She tells the women that “I don’t give a fuck” and happily proclaims that she “will go to prison” over the incident.

Attempted murder charges filed after pair accused of shooting at Memphis Burger King over spicy chicken sandwich

Two people were arrested after they were accused of firing shots at a Frayser Burger King following a confrontation over a spicy chicken sandwich.

Officers were called to the store located at 2641 North Hollywood on June 6. Two people were injured, and two others were put in harm’s way, police said.

According to the witnesses, Keonna Haliburton was involved in an argument with Burger King employees regarding a chicken sandwich. She and Tavarus McKinney drove away, only to return to the parking lot a few minutes later.

That’s when shots were fired, police said.

All four victims identified McKinney and Haliburton to police as the individuals responsible. They were arrested on Wednesday and charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder and employment of a firearm with intent to commit a felony.

We also researched McKinney’s criminal background, and found nine cases and 10 warrants in Shelby County. He has been charged with other violent crimes, including aggravated assault, kidnapping and domestic assault.

There is no set court date for McKinney. Haliburton is set to appear in court on June 28.

More than two weeks later, the restaurant is still operating.

Bridgeport police shot and stabbed neighborhood turkey. Neighborhood outraged.

Bridgeport neighbors are rallying around a turkey they say was wrongfully killed by police.

Neighbors near Burnham and Alsace streets say a contractor started kicking their resident turkey, Gobble, who then became aggressive toward him.

Police say they had multiple complaints about the bird attacking mailmen and even the officer that day on May 26.
They say they contacted the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection on how to handle the turkey.

“This turkey was no longer a candidate for re-homing or bringing to a different habitat and, unfortunately, the recommendation of the professionals – and due to the aggressiveness of the turkey – the only option that we had as a Bridgeport Police Department was to euthanize the turkey,” said Sgt. Stacey Lyons, of Bridgeport Animal Control.

Police confirmed they shot the animal, but neighbors say it wasn’t dead yet and say the officer then stabbed it until it died. Neighbors say it was traumatic for everyone, and they want the officer to be reprimanded.
“It was handled incorrectly. I think the City of Bridgeport failed us,” said one neighbor.
Bridgeport police added that they discourage residents from feeding turkeys, which keeps them coming into neighborhoods and makes it hard for them to relocate.
Neighbors had Gobble cremated and put into a tin.

Missouri police arrest naked burglar who broke into 3 houses, assaulted homeowner

Missouri police arrested a naked man Thursday morning after he allegedly broke into several houses and assaulted a homeowner.

Moberly police responded to a 2:24 a.m. call of a break-in and saw J’Angelo Robinson, 35, fleeing from someone, whom police later determined was one of Robinson’s victims, according to a report.

Robinson resisted arrest and did not comply with police, Fox 22 KQFX reported.

Police determined that Robinson had broken into three separate houses, causing property damage and assaulting one of the homeowners. A child was present during the break-in at one of the residences.

Robinson is charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child; the last charge was dropped when a warrant was issued Friday, KOMU News reported.

The suspect is being held at the Randolph County Justice Center on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

Convicted felon charged in sexual assault of parole officer

I’m not sure what this guy was looking for or how he thought he’d get away with it. He’s gonna have a lot of years in federal prison to ponder it though. At least seven felonies in a matter of minutes is impressively self-destructive.

A convicted felon is faced with the possibility of more jail time after he allegedly sexually assaulted a parole officer last week.

Memphis Police Department says 31-year-old Antonio Taylor is charged with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and theft of property.

According to investigators, Taylor went to the scene of the assault on South Advantage Drive for a parole check Thursday. An affidavit detailing the events says a struggle began between Taylor and the victim resulting in him holding her at gunpoint and sexually assaulting her repeatedly.

The victim escaped the scene with injuries to her forehead, neck and legs. She also identified Taylor as the suspect involved in the assault.

It was later discovered Taylor drove to the parole check in a stolen vehicle, according to an affidavit.

Taylor previously spent four years behind bars in connection to an aggravated assault in 2009.

Police break up exorcism at Pa. Home Depot

This is a new level of crazy hippy tree hugger.

Police in Lackawanna County broke up an exorcism in the lumber aisle of a home-improvement store Monday.

Details are scarce on just what was going on inside the Home Depot on Commerce Drive in Dickson City Monday afternoon, but police were called around 3:26 p.m. to escort several people out of the store for “bad behavior,” WBRE/WYOU is reporting.

According to reports, the exorcism was held for the trees that had been turned into lumber.

The police blotter item posted on the Dickson City police Facebook page gave few clues as to what happened, simply saying:

“3:26pm Commerce Blvd. @ Home Depot for disorderly people having an exorcism in the lumber aisle for the dead trees. They were escorted out of the building.”

Close to 200 comments on the post begged for more details.

There is no indication the incident had anything to do with the price of lumber.

According to reports, no charges have been filed at this time.

    • Mason says:

We had a road hit deer once take a 9mm round to the skull, between the eyes. It went down, then popped back up. Another shot to the skull and it went down, but didn’t die. Twenty minutes later, I slit it’s throat. Didn’t die. Another 20 minutes and we try shooting it in the heart. It was still twitching when the fire captain who was going to take the meat finally just loaded it up.

Some city deer are tough buggers.

  2. A Proud Infidel®™ says:

  4. Only Army Mom says:

Exorcism in the lumber aisle? Yeah, I’ve got questions…

Were they concerned the trees were angry about being killed and any construction completed with their lumber would be haunted? Were those trees known to be inhabited by evil spirits?

How did they know where the evil trees’ lumber had been shipped? Did they receive some sort of communication? Is there a network of religiously trained eco-hippie exorcist out there tracking these evil trees? When does the TV show following their exploits air?

    Yeah, I’ve got questions

    • rgr769 says:

This obviously is an opportunity for a new series on our bogus “History” Channel.

  7. JacktheJarhead says:

Can someone tell me what in the hell is it with people going nuts in fast food restaurants? What is about them that makes people go absolutely insane! There are so many videos of people assaulting store workers because, like this crazy woman, over a Slushie! Or shooting a place up because of hot sauce? I just don’t get it.

  8. Messkit says:

“Gobble was cremated with extra brushes of BBQ sauce, and placed in a tin pan with green beans, carrots, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and generous helpings of Mom’s home made stuffing.”
