Oh, Dennis, Dennis, Dennis……
This is in regard to one Dennis Winn, whose selfie album is loaded to the hilt with himself in various costumery. His service records were obtained by the GotGB before the COVID-19 restrictions at NPRC.
In this case, I have no opinion, because the Guardians of the Green Beret have made a concerted effort to get him to recant, and his quickstep to cover his noonchiness is almost a pounce. However, in all those costumed photos, he starts to look rather silly, since the real boots-on-the-ground people that I’ve met tend to be quite modest in referring to their history of service.
The following link on the GotGB site takes you to two pages, with the link to the second at the bottom of the first page. Personally, I have no comment other than this individual seems to be rather badly in need of lots of attention and approval from Others.
06 APR 2021 – DENNIS WINN
NOTE: When you get to the GotGB front page, click on the “Guardians of the Green Beret” line up at the top in the upper left-hand corner. You will then be taken to the page with a link to Dennis’s stuff on it, further down that page.
The logos on the very front page are their links to other blogs. The GotGB link is in the upper left-hand corner – got that? You guys do know left from wrong, right? I do recall from history class that the recruits for the Yankee army were, in some cases, so illiterate that their instructors had to tie bundles of hay to one foot and straw to the other…. but that was a long time ago, in a world far, far away from today.
While Dennis did do some time on AD, as shown below in the DoD’s Status Report, it’s mostly his picture show and then his quick-step dance to avoid answering the GotGB’s questions, which is on the first page. The second page is his own personal photo album, and the link to that is at the bottom of the first page. But whatever Dennis has up his sleeve besides a hairy arm, since he’s lawsuit-happy, let’s hand him the benefit of the doubt and ask him to produce some paper – oh, never mind. It’s in his Mom’s basement, most likely. Might have been damaged in a flood, or something. But the DoD status report is below and he does have 4 years and 7 months (Jan 2001 to July 2005) of AD. That is more like an ordinary tour of duty, and hardly enough time to become a member of that honored group referred to as the Green Berets. He may have had an extension of AD inflicted on him. I had that twice, just as I was getting ready to go ashore each time. It happens.
The GotGB states that they obtained Winn’s military records directly from the NPRC via a FOIA request, and although we have no reason to doubt their authenticity, we ultimately cannot guarantee a clean chain of custody. They show he was in Kuwait for five (5) months.
NOTE: The above military records are presented for informational purposes only. ValorGuardians cannot attest to their authenticity although the GotGB states that they obtained them directly from the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC).
And does anyone besides me remember that creature that used his “good looks” (including shaving his head to pretend he had cancer) and his claims that he was a senior Navy officer, to bilk about 15 women out of their life savings? Derek Alldred was his name and we wrote about him here and here. Yeah, Alldred’s in jail for that and those ladies will never get their money back.
So far, I do not see anything comparable to that in Dennis’s curriculum vitae. I think he just likes to play dress-up and get attention, more than anything else.
Oh, and Dennis does like to holler “LAWSUIT”, so approach the subject slowly, holding out a lollipop or a plate of chicken wings…. something like that. It is logical that he will be looking for stuff written about him, therefore, I have taken great pains to simply point out that while he did serve, he simply lacks that time needed to become a Green Beret.
His CV (on his 2nd page) mostly seems to be him in various costumes. Well, I do dress-up in 17th century clothing and go ambling off to the nearest Renaissance Faire, but that’s something we do for fun in the summer, as a way to get away from the noise and surge of the rest of the world. Re-enactments are everywhere nowadays, and I hope the current Covid Crisis won’t make an end to that. It’s fun when the elephants show up.

The assignments seem odd! He went to Fort Sam Houston for medical training first, then to Fort Benning for basic (30th AG is Fort Benning’s in-processing unit for new recruits). He would then go to the BCT (which looks like the Basic Training unit, not the 3rd Infantry Brigade there at Fort Benning. He should have then gone to Fort Sam Houston for Medical Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
He looks angry about something.
Little snot kid angry, not badass angry.
He didn’t get that pony he wanted when he was five.
Constipation, I’d wager.
Google Fu finds not much.. but his SlinkedIn is interesting.
Doctor, or NOT a doctor?
Another slippery slope.
NOTE – Zero mention of military service.
(Unless it’s buried down on his members’ only full profile.)

Seinfeld classic, which appears to be the Dennis Winn playbook.
They way Dennis Winn responded to GGB,
it’s obvious he also watched “Better Call Saul”.
Elaine – “Can I introduce you as ‘Doctor’?”
Queef
Word.
What a fucking clown.
If only The False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) had a son…..
Big Phildo and Little Phildo.
They do resemble one another.
“It must be a bitch getting a 68 Extra Fat and a 12 dwarf.”
this dude looks like a felcher…
His angry look is just his way of trying to look “fierce”…
Pretty sure he might be a jr assistant towel washer at Brucie’s Bath House (Entrance in Rear), but he might also be the jockstrap sniffer at Jimmie’s Slop Shop (Two Hole in the Dojo).
Looks more constipated than fierce.
He looks to me like the type who would sit in a book store wearing a partial uniform sporting a scowl on his face while reading “Soldier of Fortune” thinking it makes him look like a fearsome badass!
“Well! Aren’t we fierce!”
I really enjoy re-enactments. I’ve been a participant at two, one of which gave me the highest compliment as an actor I’ve ever received.
In 2010, I was at the World War II event held in Peachtree City, Ga., and was in character as Gen. MacArthur. (One must stay in character the whole weekend if anybody can see you if you’re a re-enactor.) Following the conclusion of the event, as I was preparing to leave, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
When I turned around, an elderly man was standing there saluting me. I returned the salute (still in my MacArthur costume), and the man asked to shake my hand. He said, “I just wanted you to know that I was on MacArthur’s staff in Korea. If you were just four inches taller, I’d have sworn you were MacArthur reincarnated.”
The finest compliment I ever received as an actor.
I am surprised he served at all.
It doesn’t take much service to know how bullshit his cosplay uniform is.
Like your supposed expertise on being in Law Enforcement!
Everything I say on here is literally basic level law enforcement.
It does not take much expertise to learn the basics. Any decent academy graduate should know the stuff I post on here.
Which is why the officer you are so triggered at me about was fired.
He utterly failed at practicing basic law enforcement.
As for the taser stuff. Give me one good damn reason why you would ever use you dominant hand for both your firearm and your taser?
The maximum effective range of a taser is less than 15 feet. You also need to be prepared to immediate begin subdueing the suspect with you dominant hand as soon as they are tasered. You also need you dominant hand free in order to escalate to lethal force with your firearm should you need to without being encumbered by the taser being in you dominant hand.
If you have some legitimate reason to say I am wrong for what I posted then say it.
But you don’t. As usual.
Given your record for accuracy on just about any subject ever mentioned here, your inability to stay on a subject without hijacking the thread, and being unable to read with any sort of comprehension, pretty much everything you write here is subject to criticism, fact checking, questioning, and outright ridicule. This is the world you’ve built yourself here. Enjoy it. You’re a fraud.
Uber Eats has captured the spirit of rebuttal due here with Mark Hamill quite well:
Commie do you ever get tired of being wrong? (It’s rhetorical)
The maximum range of a Taser varies by the cartridge used and can be up to 30′ currently. The ones my agency uses are 25′.
Next on escalation to lethal force, That is what the other officer is covering for. If you need to switch while taking someone just drop the taser and draw. It doesn’t take any longer than actually drawing. Doesn’t matter which hand it is in.
Drop the taser and draw? Idiotic.
You also have to immediately switch the taser to your non dominant hand in order to subdue the suspect.
Again, why not just keep it in the non dominant hand in the first place?
Does the range being 25 feet really change the situation such that you need the dominant hand to fire it? 7.6 meters? You need your dominant hand for that?
Just because you do it wrong does not make me wrong.
And it must be nice to work in a department where you can just assume you will be able to rely on having back up.
But that is not how you should train.
So by your logic anything other than a lethal weapon must be used in the non dominant hand. Impact weapon, OC, can’t have anything in the dominant hand, and then somehow you can’t subdue anyone with your non-dominant hand? Somehow that is just a bridge too far (for you). I mean if you only have one hand it might be a problem or you are stupid and can’t figure it out maybe.
Cross draw dominant hand is all wrong even though the manual specifies it as a way to carry and it has been indemnified by the courts.

Got it. Everyone is wrong but you. Sounds like you.
You know what they say when you look around the room and can’t find the dumbest person in the room….
And if you don’t use your dominant hand to fire your taser you will never have to worry about what this officer did and the other dozen or so that have done it in the past few years.
They had another officer there. So you are saying you would just ignore the reality of the situation and just drive on with your own way if doing things.
Sounds like you.
“just ignore the reality of the situation and just drive on with your own way if doing things.”
The Left, in a nutshell.
Annoying to me is the lack of commitment to the character. If he really wanted to to fake it, he would have researched how to properly wear those tabs- The Airborne tab is part of the SFC patch, and therefore would be the lowest tab. In order of precedence, it would be SF on top, Ranger, then Sapper.
Of course, being a medic (or anything besides a 12series or 18C (SF Engineer), he would not have even been eligible to go to Sapper School, much less earn the tab.
The Devil is ALWAYS in the details…😉
Doubt if dennis will “winn” any friends here. Health care training huh? Servicing bed pans? Giving sponge baths and prostate exams…using his tongue? He does seem to have a certain “meat gazing” look about him.
PHUQUE HEEM!
Gotta wear the scarf for those strong dust bunny desert winds in mommy’s basement.
Nurse Kristian here brought discredit only upon himself, I hereby award her a new MOS of 91Weeny so as not to spread this f*ckery to actual Medicals that conduct themselves honorably.
Also, Sniper Tab? Smmfh. You have to hide that one, it’s part of the ‘fun’ of earning that mf.
Standing-by for the arrests for graft and/or ‘over friendliness’ with those who can’t consent to certain activities.
Turd.
As a medic, Winn’s mantra was “One shot, one kill.”
Only if it’s the J&J vaccine.
He appears to be a Dutch Rudder Gang wannabe, possibly a prospect.
Dipstickery…
Four years, honorable discharge, Iraq service, that’s more than 99% of his generation will ever do. Should be proud of what he did instead of take a steaming dump on it.
Mason,
DD-214 12.f. Foreign Service 0000 00 00.
Kinda contradicts the Iraq Campaign Medal.
Hmmmm.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_Campaign_Medal
That’s exactly what I was saying. You can’t get an ICM if you were only in Kuwait.
There are at least 3 cases where someone stationed in Kuwait could legitimately rate an ICM:
1. KIA/DOW/injured severely enough to require MEDEVAC from theater during a mission into/over to Iraq from duty station in Kuwait.
2. Temporary assignment(s) for 30 days consecutive/60 days nonconsecutive to Iraq from normal duty station in Kuwait.
3. Missions (air/ground) from home station in Kuwait into the airspace or territory of Iraq on the requisite number of days (pretty sure it’s 30 consecutive or 60 nonconsecutive, but not positive and am not going to take the time to look it up).
I’ve personally seen case #2 regarding Afghanistan. A guy was sent from Kuwait to our location to augment our detachment and was there for >30 days consecutive prior to returning to Kuwait. The detachment OIC made sure he left with a memo documenting that fact so he’d have paperwork showing he qualified for the ACM. (He also technically qualified for the NATO medal, but I don’t know that higher HQ ever requested one on his behalf – and ISAF had to approve those before a soldier could be awarded it and wear same.)
All of those are pretty rare “corner cases” (and if due to enemy action, the first would also entitle him to a Purple Heart). But as you said, all of those do require physical presence in Iraq – though not an assignment there.
It’s also possible his GWOTEM was erroneously converted to or listed as an ICM on his DD214. That document appears to have been prepared not long after the creation of the ACM and ICM, and I understand some units “mass converted” GWOETMs to ICMs afterwards. Have no idea if that’s what happened here or not, but it would also fit the circumstances detailed by GotGB.
I wouldn’t make too much of that “Foreign Service” entry being zero. Sometimes the clerks preparing DD214s don’t make accurate entries in that block, and few people think to check it.
The Army also makes a distinction between “overseas service” and “foreign service”. I’m not positive, but I think (and could easily be wrong) that you many have to be overseas in a CZ for long enough to qualify for overseas tour credit in order for that to count as “foreign service” for DD214 purposes. Any deployment to a CZ/IDP area for 6 months qualifies someone in the Army for an overseas bar (I think 5 months gets rounded up). Per his DD214 he has one OS bar, so his serving in-theater somewhere for several months apparently happened.
I really wish we could see more of the redacted DD214. Somewhere in the “Remarks” block should be an entry giving the location and dates of any CZ/IDP area service.
Not 100% I understand what you are saying but the Army doesn’t round up for OSBs. They simply add time on with all of it being cumulative over the career. This is why I only have 5 bars for 3 tours, the years were each a little shy of year, although it sure felt like a year.
You are doubtless correct about service for the OS bar, going “by the book”. But in practice it doesn’t always work out exactly that way.
I personally know of at least one case – and I’m pretty sure there were others – where an individual was awarded 2 OS bars for just short of one full calendar year of service in-theater (the individual was in-theater 51 weeks). In that particular case, I’d guess that the 12th month of OS bar credit was granted for that final period in-theater of between 15 and 30 days that ended up being “rounded up” and counted as a month for OS bar purposes. But that’s a guess on my part.
Dunno for sure if that’s 100% legit – but I do know with certainty that it happened. Something similar may well have happened with this guy, too.
My draft 214 had major mistakes as I was out-processing. I called the clerk on it. He was disinclined to fix it, and “just accept it” wasn’t flying with me. He tried to pull date-of-rank. (LOL). I escalated, several times, finally the OIC became involved.
I won, and some folks got gnawed on.
But some guy who didn’t work my side job would get F-ed by team dont-care, most every time.
Looking for lawsuits could be a winn winn or a no winn contest for winn. Are you related to Baseball player Early Winn or the Winn Dixie supermarket family??????
I find it telling he does not have an EFMB in his acquired DD214.
His linked in does claim to be an MD from UAB Med School it shows various Academic institution gping back to 2008 but no military time.
Heh. I recall the “Hay foot, straw foot” story from Revolutionary War times. Can’t say I’m surprised it’s still an Army training aid, considering.
I had a drill sergeant that made directionally challenged Soldiers carry a rock in one hand and a stick in the other. Everywhere the went, they’d sound off with “rock, stick, rock, stick”.
Wow. I guess Port and Starboard are out of the question, then.
Full Metal Jacket…
The only thing this clown got right is his shaping and wearing of the beret. The rest of his costume is a shit show and a soup sandwich. His “tower of power” is absurd. He has not only screwed up the order of the tabs, but he has the tip of the arrowhead SF patch sticking up into his snipper (sapper?) tab. Also, no one I have ever seen who was for real wears a keffiyeh outside the sandbox (unless you are a Pali-nazi or Antifa).
I’ve seen them occasionally used out in the field by Mounted Gunners to keep the dust off their faces while moving in convoy, but NEVER in Garrison!
He looks more 8UP than a chocolate dildo in a crowded gay bar on Valentine’s Day!
Odd, but I just checked the GotGB site and Dennis Winn, alleged fake Green Beret-Airborne-Ranger-Sniper and Physician, is no longer showing and all information has been removed. Links to his story and all pictures are missing.
Ya think someone called their Lawer in an attempt to keep all this hidden?
Good luck with that, I guess. The internet is forever, and all his Facebook friends have already been contacted by GotGB.
Lori Benton will be there soon.
Phildo cannot afford to lose this level of talent.
Never mind. This morning, all the DENNIS K WINN information was reposted to GotGB.
