1 dead, 2 injured in Rusk County home invasion, gunfight

By Gary Bass
RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) – Three people suffered gunshot wounds, and one person later died after a home invasion in Rusk County turned into a gunfight, according to the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a post on the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, RCSO deputies responded to a 911 call about gunshots at a home in the 10000 block of Main Street in New London on Sunday.

When the deputies got to the scene, they found three gunshot victims – two men and a woman. A medical helicopter transported the two men to a Tyler hospital, and an ambulance took the woman to a Tyler hospital as well.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that an armed male entered the residence without consent,” the Facebook post stated. “This woke up the other male who lives at this address. Words were exchanged between the two males, and both males began shooting at one another.”

Both men were shot multiple times, and the woman was hit as well, the Facebook post stated.

A little sketchy on the details, but betcha any money that the Ms Thang in the Tx story had a lot to do with the breakin and shootout. Dude, when she’s just not that into you anymore…move on!

Nice little hide-away Charter. Depending on its year model as to whether or not it is worth a damn for anything other than very close in work…or a paperweight.

Speakin’ of Ms Thangs…and weights? Those weighty things are just hanging by a thread. And as per our conversation from the other day, if those are real, given a few years, they’ll be down around her belly button. If they’re fake, they’ll be hard as rocks…and cause other problems on down the road. Damn nice legs too! ‘scuse me while I catch my breath.

Why would you want to catch your breath? I thought your goal was to catch Ms Thang.

Have had two of the .44 Bulldogs (OK, I am a .44 Special fan.) The first, from the “good early years, developed a crack in the grip frame and so went away. The second, from the “spotty quality” years, was a great gun. Shot to point of aim and despite a slight barrel/ cylinder misalignment which led to very minor bullet shaving, was accurate and my carry piece for many years.
It’s worth noting for those who remember the “Son of Sam” killer David Berkowitz, that his weapon was a .44 Bulldog.

Ah yes, the Bulldog.

Spike Lee

“I am not sure I can find a better example of celebrity gun hypocrisy than a comment made by director Spike Lee. Not long after directing Summer of Sam in 1999, a film about the “Son of Sam” murders in New York, Spike Lee stated that NRA President Charlton Heston should be shot with a .44 Bulldog(the weapon used by Son of Sam)”.
