Obama appointed judge blocks provision in ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ impacting Planned Parenthood
The One Big Beautiful Bill is already being legally challenged; specifically, a provision impacting Planned Parenthood. Indira Talwani, a US District Judge, issued an injunction arguing that this provision may be unconstitutional. The judge argued that the provision “targets” Planned Parenthood facilities for providing abortions. Talwani took aim at the provision that prevents abortion providers from receiving Medicare funding for up to a year for reproductive related services that they provided.

U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Boston, an Obama appointee, issued a preliminary injunction, saying it was likely unconstitutional to specifically target Planned Parenthood’s health centers for punishment for providing abortions, Reuters reported.
The provisions contained in the bill prohibit abortion providers from receiving Medicaid funding for up to one year for any other reproductive health services they may provide.
The Department of Justice argued that “the bill stops federal subsidies for Big Abortion” and urged the judge not to let Planned Parenthood and its members “supplant duly enacted legislation with their own policy preferences.”
Talwani ruled that the law’s text and structure were clearly crafted for all members of the parent organization Planned Parenthood Federation of America, even if they were not named. Because of the specificity, it likely makes the provision an unconstitutional “bill of attainder,” an act of Congress that wrongly seeks to inflict punishment without a trial, according to the judge.
“Plaintiffs are likely to establish that Congress singled them out with punitive intent,” Talwani wrote.

And likely unconstitutional? This is false. There is nothing in the text of the Constitution that obligates and requires the government to fund planned parenthood. But everyone expects this kind of ruling from this kind of judge. Few months ago, Boasburg tried to usurp the executive in ordering those flights to turn back. Congress, get off your lazy, entitled *sses and pass that bill to limit the power of these quacks already!
No need to pass a bill into law to limit the power of lower court judges (compared to SCOTUS, they’re ALL lower court judges), it’s baked into the Constitution.
What needs to be done is to bitch slap these upstart judges into oblivion.

Indeed, black women have 498 abortions per 1,000 live births according to abort73’s website using data from government sources. Wiping out one third of all black babies as social policy seems like something out of a dystopian novel regarding future tyranny…but it’s a reality today.

Pass a law that says you can have an abortion, as long as the birthing person is aborted too.

If you really look at it the Constitution says that the government only has to provide money to run ITSELF.
Abortion and “Climate Change” along with DEI are the three most sacred cows in the cult of liberalism and as usual, once any of them fail elsewhere, the left runs to the courts to keep forcing their beliefs on everyone else just like they did with busing.
So given that the SCOTUS already ruled that lower courts cannot make a nationwide ruling all this means is that in the dem enclave of taxachusetts, dems can still kill their babies. Where is the downside in fewer liberal dems?
