Man shoots suspected thief in Gig Harbor during fight near elementary school
BY STACIA GLENN
A 24-year-old Gig Harbor man shot someone suspected of stealing from a construction site after the suspect attacked him with a baton and brass knuckles, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. The incident started about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when a resident heard loud music coming from a vehicle parked at the intersection of 64th Avenue and 41st Street NW, near Artondale Elementary School.
The neighbor took a handgun and went to investigate due to recent break-ins at the school.
He found a man, later identified as a 30-year-old Bremerton resident, on school property and told him to leave.
A fight broke out and the neighbor fired at the man, striking him once.

Catch and release, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes? Wasn’t there, so I don’t know the thought process of the prosecutors.

That is a very “retro” AR carbine.
What’s that thing atop the carry handle?
Kinda defeats both purposes.
And they left off the chain saw bayonet.
That piece of paper the judge gives out don’t protect nobody. Get a weapon girls, and be ready to defend yourself.
Instead of catch and release, it should be scale/skin. gut. and fry.
Got to go to the big city. Wish me luck. C y’all this afternoon. Save me a serving of whatever ‘Ed cooks for noon dinner.
Roh-Dog keep an eye on my crown.
Fine. But I’m too busy to keep this rabble in order. Besides, last I tried I got poo flunged at me.
Be carful out there, make sure to work your PACE planning and always have an out, preferably one that doesn’t require suppressing fire!
(FYI: PACE planning— Primary, Alternate, Contingency, Emergency. Here at Fort Roh-Dog even grocery runs get a OPORD, map recon and PCCs/PCIs!)
Great post Roh-Dog. “PACE” I am so stealing that.
Quite welcome, just so I don’t get accused of plagiarism like a disgraced 47-year poli-tick-ian

This and OODA loop can change one’s life for the bestest.

Maybe one of those red dot sights atop the carry handle.
It is either a 3X or 4X compact scope, originally developed by Armalite/Colt back in the early 1970’s.
4X, used to have that exact set up.
So you are saying the Samsonite carrying handle is obstructed by the ACOG? As Drill Sergeant Williams always said “wha’ y’ think you going t’ the Airport…(expletive)? Ain’t no luggage check round here son! Ya better carry that thing like you are going to shoot somin’ with it!
IIRC, That was the original charging handle.
Oops. I was thinking of the loop at the front of the carry handle of the AR shown in the linkee article.
While reading the AR15 linkee, I couldn’t help but hear “My Little Armalight” in my head.
I didn’t see any rioting in Pickens County so I imagine the guy that was killed by the PD on Saturday morning was white.
Re that antique boomstick, my LGS has an Aimpoint 2000 iffin someone would like to do a retro build. I can ask the price, lmk.
