Resident shoots suspect during home invasion in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) — The Pueblo Police Department is investigating a reported home invasion in which at least one of the three suspects was shot.

Around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the 700 block of Box Elder Street for a reported home invasion.

The two residents told officers that a white car pulled up and parked in front of the home. Three men exited the vehicle and entered the home through the front door. A physical altercation followed and one of the residents fired a handgun at the intruders. The three intruders quickly left and the residents said they believe that two of the three suspects were hit by the gunfire.

Shortly after, a 39-year-old man arrived to a hospital with two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police say they believe the man is one of the suspects during the home invasion.

One of the other suspects is described as a bald Hispanic male with a cleft lip, according to Pueblo Police. He was wearing a white basketball jersey with red trim, and he had chest tattoos. The third unknown intruder was described as an older Hispanic man, 6’5″ tall and about 230 pounds. He had grey hair and no facial hair. Police say one of these two intruders may have also been shot during the invasion.

Man Shot At Downtown Austin Protest Dies From His Injuries

A man shot during a protest in downtown Austin has died at an Austin hospital from his injuries, police say.

A Facebook Live video showed protesters marching up Congress Avenue on Saturday night. A group bunched together at the corner of Fourth Street and Congress when several gunshots rang out.

An Austin Police spokesperson said officers were monitoring the protest when the shooting happened around 9:52 p.m. According to initial reports, APD said, the victim approached the suspect’s vehicle and may have been carrying a rifle.

The suspect inside the vehicle then shot the victim, police said. The suspect has been detained and is cooperating with officers, the APD spokesperson said.

On Sunday, “Good Morning America” interviewed Sheila Foster, who said her son, Garrett Foster, was the man who was killed.

A witness at the scene named Julian told KUT’s Mose Buchele the vehicle almost hit the group of protesters before the shooting.

“As we’re walking down passing Fourth Street, a blue car just come swerving out into the middle of the street almost runs over a bunch of protesters and everybody around starts like smacking the car trying to get him to slow down,” the witness said. “He pulls down his window and he fires three shots into the guy. From point-blank. No words no nothing. And then rolls up his window and zooms off.”

‘Extremely irate’ man who refused to wear a mask shot dead after trying to run over auto shop owner’s son: report

By David Badash
A man, who wanted air put in his tires reportedly became “extremely irate” when the owner of an auto shop asked him to put on a mask, was later shot dead after he attempted to run over the owner’s son with his car. Another man was wounded.

“The owner said he told the man that he could help him but that he needed to have a mask on and the man became ‘extremely irate,’” incident reports filed by Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies say, according to the Albuquerque Journal. “The owner told deputies the man crashed into his son’s vehicle and tried to run him over before driving off.”

As police were searching for the alleged assailant, “they received a call from the auto shop owner saying the vehicle had returned and his son had shot someone.”

Oh so close to a FGS Trifecta???
More range time people, more range time!!

Patience Wilted Willy. Someone will have another “shot” at the 3 Pueblo perps, eventually if not sooner. And who knows, the one that was hit may develop a nice case of sepsis soon. Maybe if the homeowner woulda, shoulda, coulda had the Springfield pictured, the extra round capacity mighta helped. Or how about using one of the designs of the most Saintly JMB (Howitzer be his name) and thrown down with a large enough caliber to properly ventilate them?

Hack Stone, not real sure on the number of shootings at these mostly peaceful demonstrations, bit I do know the the amount of teh stoopid is rather high. If the same amount of money and time spent on these mostly peaceful demonstrations had of been spent on finding Elaine Ricci, the proud but humble woman owned business may have earned enough to buy a mailbox door and fix up a car.

WW, if the damn ranges were open in TX I’d be at them! 🙂

Old tanker

I’m in TX and the ranges around me are all open including the indoor range.

Hack Stone

There must have been two shootings Saturday evening in Austin involving mostly peaceful protesters and automobiles, because the Police reported that the man who shot Garrett Foster stayed on the scene and cooperated with Police.

Also strange is the number of shots. Police reported hearing two volleys of fire of differing caliber. Some said the guy in the car jumped out and fired eight shots into the “victim”.
So yes, definitely two or more incidents with different people doing different things to different people who definitely started it! Peaceful protesters would never instigate things…take Portland for example.

Well, sweetie, if you’d have raised and trained your son better, he might still be alive today. But shoulda, coulda, woulda.

First of all, “Julian”, I doubt your veracity as a witness to this incident. If you rioters would move out of the street when traffic is coming, this incident would not have happened at all. But NOOOOOOO, you rioters just need to block traffic to get your point across (whatever that point is, besides the one on top of your head).

“He pulls down his window and he fires three shots into the guy. From point-blank. No words no nothing. And then rolls up his window and zooms off.””

Hmmmmm……something missing here…….what about the other shots fired? Presumably from the deceased’s weapon? That he was presumably waving around and pointing at other people? No comment? And I’d move on smartly too, after rioters had been cleared from in front of my car.
Well, apparently Mr Shooter still had enough of a conscience to stop and assist the police. Which is more than I can say for you, “Julian”.
