Soldier criticizing Marine deployment goes viral – The fact that she has been out for five years is left out

| June 11, 2025 | 83 Comments

There’s a video that has gone viral featuring a Soldier speaking out against President Trump’s deploying the Marines to Los Angeles. In the video, she talks about how those who are serving, and who have served, have a conscience and should speak out. However, Benny Johnson took to X and claimed that the Pentagon notified him that the Soldier in the video was discharged from the National Guard in June 2020.

Approximate Transcript:

We are not pawns for Donald Trump’s agenda. Why now? It’s because the military was called upon against the protesters. In our oath to serve, we serve the people of the United States, the Constitution. These constitutional rights are being stripped and just denied and the military will not be pawns to that.

That’s why I’m calling on the conscience of military members who served previously and now. We have a conscience, we have a mind, and we have a duty, a moral obligation to say “no” and resist.

Soon to be questioned by Fedz, perhaps?

If this is true, bring her back and then court-martial her.
YAY!
Problem solved.

I second this!

You have a moral and legal obligation to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

If your personal moral code will not allow you to do that, you have the right to leave the service of the United States of America and follow whatever “moral code” you may or may not have. Others will stand fast and protect your right to free speech.

Roh-Dog

“Others will stand fast and protect your right to free speech…” and rights to move in public, not have your stores robbed, cars set on fire, babies terrorized, etc.

That post aged like milk as he tried going off-the-grid/radio silence, but his posts were captured and will LIVE FOREVER on the information super highway. He might as well start his own out-processing paperwork. He’s what we enlisted personnel called, this may offend some, a fucking zero.

He puts the orifice in officers.

I served for 24 years. I never once felt compelled to disobey a lawful order. This shit bag, summa cum laude barracks lawyer is encouraging sedetion, malfeasance and threatening rule of law. Her ass is on the wrong side of history.

There were many orders that caused “what the fuck” thoughts, but they were obeyed!

Phuque her! Use the Jar Heads to do what their mission was announced to be…ie…defend Federal Buildings in the area. And back up any that needed them.

Other than that? Turn the cesspool that is LA over to the Roof Top Koreans and send in the scooper trucks every morning til the mess is cleaned up.

This is the thing that gets me. The DoD will ‘surge’ to free up LEO hands so they can go out and do thier jobs.

These braying assholes pretend cops and SDs are both ironmen and pussies at the same time.

I’m here to tell these heartless terrorists-enablers, if you want less violence more rest for LEOs is part of the cure.

Commissar

It was left out because she is wearing the damn uniform so there was no way people could know she was no longer serving.

Even military members were confused at who she was and what platoon sergeant is going to get hammered for letting her near the press.

She should not be wearing the uniform.

And I am sure she knew this.

It belongs in a closet.

5JC

If I were a California Guard staff sergeant I would have walked over and lit her ass up. She would have been doing flutter kicks and steam engines till she passed out. That would have been good television.

Amateur Historian

Mine is.

Never put it on since I got out of the Navy. The thought did cross my mind to sell it to a surplus, but it didn’t feel right.

11B-Mailclerk

I didn’t want some Klukker F-head buying them secondhand, so I donated mine to a local ROTC to use.

Peter the Bubblehead

Closest I got to wearing my uniform after my EAOS was wearing old dungarees while volunteering field day aboard a museum submarine. I had some fun standing in the captain’s stateroom and freezing in place like a manniquin when I would hear tourists coming down the corridor and briefly scare them when they would stop to try and figure out if I was real or not.

SFC D

Any commander that would attempt to hammer a platoon sergeant for this is a failure as an officer and leader, and a worthless piece of shit. Is that the type of officer you were?

There is a current serving Air Force Airman that is getting paperwork for making statements on their social media, over all this.

Welp, no combat patch. Likely she was never deployed. I bet she self-promoted herself to corporal, or she would know she is violating regs protesting in uniform.

5JC

Deployed? Not a chance, far too clueless. Kind of like somebody around here.

HT3

She was probably a 36B keyboard/pencil pushing & paper stacking warrior at the local guard unit. Tried being a barracks bunny, but after she got passed around a few times she bailed. Wears the uniform for clout like her fucking opinion matters.

5JC

I was trying to work out how many months deployed would put me in the position to consider hitting it and I couldn’t come up with a solid number. Probably about 35 months. Definitely wearing earplugs though.

A Proud Infidel®™

She’s deployment goggles + Tequila!

A Proud Infidel®™

She might have been a 42A who got DEI promotions to E5 before getting pushed out due to incompetence!

I don’t know Army MOS’s, so I just picked the first desk jockey job I could find. Instead of sitting on her ass all day, I wonder if she advanced on her knees? Who’d be that hard up?

Anonymous

Hey, Lars, would you happen to know if her favorite color is rugburn or what?

rgr769

Someone here said she is a 42A. I had to look that up. Really, a Human Resources person. Back in my day, they were AG or S-1 clerks. One can’t get more REMFy than being a Remington Raider. Well maybe if you are Finance branch, since one doesn’t encounter them below division level.

Odie

Is self immolation still a thing? Maybe she can show how strong her convictions are.

Amateur Historian

Refusal to follow unlawful orders is definitely a thing in the UCMJ and you are not required nor obligated to carry out unlawful orders. However, being ordered to put down a riot (which is an unlawful assembly) with the least amount of force possible is a lawful order. This former soldier should know/learn the difference.

Also, showing up to a protest in uniform? Really??? Especially when your’re not an Active Guard member anymore?

I’m pretty sure regulation prohibits wearing that uniform just about everywhere when not on duty.

Amateur Historian

I’ve seen people in uniform while at a supermarket off post, though I think that may be the extent of what is allowable.

SFC D

Used to be that wearing it off post was allowable if you were running errands or something similar before going home. It was allowed in restaurant’s but not bars and no alcohol consumption off-post in BDU’s. Or ACU’s. Or whatever we’re calling this latest uniform.

A Proud Infidel ®️™️

OCP IIRC. Hopefully I remember that correctly so I don’t end up on KP to the point where I get declared MIA , then I’d be an SOL SOB!!!

So I checked out the “escalated” protests and the video feed showed the following crowds.

Largest crowd: Police and National Guard
2nd largest: Media
3rd largest: Protestors

How could Trump do such a thing????

She should’ve read paragraph 9 on the back of her DD Form 4, which reads – in part:

“I understand that many laws, regulations, and military customs will govern my conduct and require me to do things under this agreement that a civilian does not have to do.”

and “I further understand that: (underline and italics mine for emphasis)

a. My enlistment/reenlistment agreement is more than an employment agreement. It affects a change in status from civilian to military member of the Armed Forces. As a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, I will be:

(1) Required to obey all lawful orders and perform all assigned duties.

(2) Subject to separation during or at the end of my enlistment. If my behavior fails to meet acceptable military standards, I may be discharged and given a certificate for less than honorable service, which may hurt my future job opportunities and my claim for veteran’s benefits.

(3) Subject to the military justice system, which means, among other things, that I may be tried by military courts-martial.

(4) Required upon order to serve in combat or other hazardous situations.

(5) (Paraphrased; receive pay and allowances and shit…)

More on the alleged soldier:

Article says she’s believed to be a former intel analyst and her mother is an illegal alien. I gotta question that, illegal alien mom makes the requisite security clearance pretty much impossible.

If she had a clearance, it’s all gone now.
