The Bromance is OVAH!

| June 7, 2025 | 31 Comments

Not a huge surprise to anyone, the bromance between Trump and Elon Musk is over. Not even “I’m not speaking to you” over, but flouncing past each other at recess, you can’t be my friend if you’re theirs, no more copying each other’s homework OVER.

Probably not a real shock to anyone given the massive sizes of the two egos involved – it’s hard to believe that those two could co-exist in peace for any length of time anyway. Let’s face it, if either ego had replaced the Hindenburg, the resultant melt-down would have obliterated the East Coast, not just an air field in New Jersey.

We have often talked about how giant bills are brought to a vote with only hours to read, grasp, comment, and modify them – Obamacare being a prime example. Seems that “big, beautiful spending bill” falls into the same category – several provisions in it sandbagged Republicans, who were given one night to read its 1116 page text before voting on it the next day. When was the last time you read two Jack Reacher books in one night?  (I would have said “Pillars of the Earth” or “The Source” but they may be a bit dated for you youngsters out there.)  Reportedly even Marjorie Taylor Greene plans to vote ‘no’ when the bill comes back to the House due to a sop to tech companies buried in the bill banning any legal action by states against AI usage for ten years.

On Tuesday, Greene admitted in an X post that she didn’t read the full text of the bill, missing a section that “strips states of the right to make laws or regulate AI for 10 years.”

“I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there,” she wrote, adding, “This needs to be stripped out in the Senate.”  The Independent

Other fiscally conservative Republicans dislike its continuance of tax cuts, that it may further increase our total deficit – reasons abound. But what et Trump off was when Musk publicly called Trump’s pet bill “massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.”.  We all know how Mr. Trump views any disagreement – remember a fella called Mattis? Or for that matter almost any other senior military advisor in his first administration? He doesn’t just disagree, he attacks, and questions their intelligence, their integrity, and demeans them. Publicly.  Trump, of course, retaliated.

Trump posts that the US government could save billions of dollars in its budget by terminating the contracts and subsidies awarded to Musk’s companies.  CNN

You mean like those space contracts? Who ya gonna give ’em to, Boeing? Betcha there’s a couple of astronauts who might chime in one THAT idea after their extended zero-gravity sojourn.

Musk said in response he has already directed that the Dragon spacecraft (which DID bring the errant astronauts back home) be decommissioned.  (Tesla’s stock is down 14% , presumably due primarily to this – so Musk has some skin in the game here. Given his investment in the company, he is losing millions, as this has cost the company about $15,000,000,000.)

Then we hit the big ones… Musk says Trump is in the Epstein files and should be impeached. NPR We call that a Rubicon – he has crossed a line with that which historically Trump cannot ignore. Personally, I tend to believe the Republican Senator who questioned it – as badly as the Democrats and Biden hate Trump, it’s hard to believe Trump had any significant role in Epstein’s life and the last administration ignored it or failed to capitalize on it.

This ain’t over. Keep watching it.

There’ll be folks out there fapping so hard over this spat that they will give themselves two black eyes and a bloody nose. Not enough for sure details in the mish mash to say how it may turn out, but for sure if there were any proof the Bad Orange Man was on a “jeffery list” that would have come out way yonder before now. And I can see Elon saying “Damn, Don you wanted me to find ways to cut the waste in grubermint and here you go adding more crap in it?” “Make up your damn mind!” Insanity!

Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal

Another example of why bills should be simple, single purpose, and only a few pages long, in order to give Kongress Kritters time to read, understand, debate, and amend before passing into law.
And if that slows down the amount of bills passed into laws, GOOD!

Clown show.

Musks Dad said that musk made a big mistake by mentioning the Trumpster being on the epstein files.

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

What was Muskrat smoking?
Such an outrageous claim could easily be disproved.

Or used in a defamation/slander case. Wouldn’t discovery be interesting.

I think we can all agree that if he weren’t, we would have seen it by now.

As a long time fan of professional wrestling, I see this “beef” being orchestrated. Elon is doing a classic heel turn only to return to the fold a time TBD.

Watching Dems cheer Elon because he wants MORE cut/deeper cuts in spending, and the release of the Epstein Files that will be filled with Leftist Heroes is satisfying. If DJT was on the client list, we’d known 10 years ago instead of all the bullshit collusion, impeachment , and trials.

You should hang out with me on truth, social, and on X and we are calling it exactly that

I’m thinkin this is a whole lot of theatre, and am looking forward to it playing out. I don’t trust anyone in government to be completely honest on anything at this point, and would LOVE to see a lot of prosecutions and accountability…

Musk has deleted his comments out of shame.

fm2176

I haven’t kept abreast of this. Of course, I’ve heard a few things about it, but my 60-hour work week didn’t permit me the time to really pay attention. I have started listening to YouTube videos while I’m driving, but for some reason, my recent thing has been aviation history, besides the usual Forgotten Weapons, Mark Felton, and similar channels. Mark Dice is the only political commentator I watch regularly.

There is Styxhexenhammer666 too, who usually has interesting takes. Others here have commented similar sentiments, but his take on this situation might not be too far off: Donald Trump and Elon Musk Are Probably Pretending to Feud.

A bit more humorous video: Elon vs Trump!!! Emergency Meme Review.

I agree with Musk. I find Trump’s support of that “big, beautiful” ball of shit very disappointing. Then again, I find all politicians “disappointing” (to be polite). But, Trump has three more years to redeem himself.

Commissar

Trump was a regular customer of Epstein’s.

He met his wife through Epstein.

Epstein is on record saying they were best friends.

And they lived within a mile of each other in both New York and Florida.

Besties.

Trump is all over the Epstein files. And even the redacted stuff that was released has Trump’d name all over it.

As does the manifests.

And nobody has more photos with Epstein, besides Ghislaine, than Trump.

A Proud Infidel®™

😀🤣🤣🤣🤣😂You extra-deluded brainwashed FOOL, DJT expelled and banned Epstein from Mar-A-Lago, YOU LOSE yet again.

rgr769

There is only one cure for his level of delusion and derangement: A lobotomy.

Of course…
I mean they tried the Collusion/FISA hoax, 2 impeachments, and lawfare to the nth degree, but Biden had Trump all over the Epstein files but didn’t use it…puh-lease
Commissar is the worst troll I’ve ever seen, and she knows everything she says is…

I’d have thought he’d be better at trolling. When you have no job, no skills and no prospects it usually makes for a lot of free time to sharpen up on other skills.

And yet, none of this information has ever been weaponized against Trump. Why is this? Why wouldn’t you and your antifa pals use this to defeat the bad orange man? Could it be that you are a fraud and liar?

Ok, I’ll go there…

Dude, if there was something to that, it’d have been used already. (Not that Democrats give a sh*t about it being true of Bill Clinton and Bill Gates, but just ask Repiblicans about “gotcha” prosecutions over technicalities by the last admin.)

tavernknight

Musk’s job as a SGE, with a work period of 130 days, I’m thinking that the so-called spat between Trump & Musk ought to expose more of the deep state hooligans…
Thoughts, folks?

Roh-Dog

Wake me when someone wants to strangle the administrative state, at every level, then burn the remains and scatter them to the four winds.

Or, I dunno, pass a budget that funds itself.

As it were, Musk could be entirely right about the Trump’s proposed budget and just about any other budget that has ever offered whether accepted or not.

Let’s never forget Little Missy of Whoredome, Pelosi of Satan’s Christmas Eve health insurance fraud.

“ya’ gotta pass it to find out what’s in it”.

Has there ever been more excessive fiduciary abandonment?

As to the narcissisim? Musk might want to consider the possissibilty that he is not immune to bi-polar mental illness. Self medication is seldom beneficial to the afflicted.
