West Charlotte nightclub homicide deemed justified: CMPD report

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A fatal shooting at a west Charlotte nightclub involving an armed security guard was deemed justified, according to a report from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.Around 2 a.m., officers responded to ‘Flirt’ on the 4800 block of Wilkinson Blvd about an assault with a deadly weapon. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police say the victim got into an altercation with armed security when he was shot. According to the report, the shooting was justified.

1 shot at Jefferson County bingo hall

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A security guard allegedly shot an employee at a Jefferson County bingo hall Monday morning.According to Henry Irby with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the bingo hall at 5712 Chalkville Rd. after 5 a.m. on a report of a person shot. At the scene, deputies found a male employee suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Center Point Fire District personnel transported the victim to UAB Hospital. He was diagnosed with not life-threatening injuries.
Irby stated the JCSO’s preliminary investigation shows there was a verbal fight between the employee and a male security guard. The guard then allegedly shot the victim. The guard stayed at the scene and was cooperative with deputies.

“…assault with a deadly weapon.”? Naw, I’d say it was a defense with a deadly weapon. Don’t take an “altercation” to a gun fight. The Queen City has certainly turned into a Royal Mess…even more so when I used to go there 3-4 times a year on business back in the ’80s and ’90s.
Rough ‘hood, indeed, when the Bingo Hall needs armed security. “…victim…” *sigh* Dumbass took “verbal” to a gunfight.
Speaking of verbiage…what part of “no” and “not” do despots not understand? I was taught what those words meant when I was about two (2) years old. “No, we are not going to put up with your despotism any more!”
It is kinda cool to see a Colt’s Revolving Rifle in an old western. Least Hollywierd isn’t as bad about showing them “out of period” as they are with the 1873 and 1892 Winchesters. Don’t remember seeing too many of them in “The Horse Soldiers” (Grierson’s Raid) Motion Picture. May have to look at that one again.
Best use of one I recall was in “El Dorado”.
