Thanks again, Gun Bunny.
No one can read our Constitution without concluding that the people who wrote it wanted their government severely limited; the words “no” and “not” employed in restraint of government power occur 24 times in the first seven articles of the Constitution and 22 more times in the Bill of Rights.

Those Colt revolver rifles didn’t sound like they were the bee’s knees, more like they were the bee’s butt.
Sounds like the altercation on Wilkinson was a close shave.

The Bingo hall worker was fired.
TDRSAHN
*sigh* …..

Ok. I give up. what does “TDRSAHN” stand for? I tried looking it up, but couldn’t find it.
Toxic

Deplorable

Ok, I laffed WAAAAYYY yonder too hard at you two (2) phuquers. Y’all keep poking one another and you’re gonna have to get a room. BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
I did “like” PETDRSAHN…it sang. Don’t forget the Sir Name of B. Woodsman. It’s still in use hither and yon on the inherwebz. That’s why I practice the KISS (no homo) Syndrome and just use…Tox. Saves on keyboard ribbon ink, too.
“…assault with a deadly weapon.”? Naw, I’d say it was a defense with a deadly weapon. Don’t take an “altercation” to a gun fight. The Queen City has certainly turned into a Royal Mess…even more so when I used to go there 3-4 times a year on business back in the ’80s and ’90s.
Rough ‘hood, indeed, when the Bingo Hall needs armed security. “…victim…” *sigh* Dumbass took “verbal” to a gunfight.
Speaking of verbiage…what part of “no” and “not” do despots not understand? I was taught what those words meant when I was about two (2) years old. “No, we are not going to put up with your despotism any more!”
It is kinda cool to see a Colt’s Revolving Rifle in an old western. Least Hollywierd isn’t as bad about showing them “out of period” as they are with the 1873 and 1892 Winchesters. Don’t remember seeing too many of them in “The Horse Soldiers” (Grierson’s Raid) Motion Picture. May have to look at that one again.
Best use of one I recall was in “El Dorado”.
Yep it was. Seen ’em pop up in some Gunsmokes, Wagon Trains (1867 time frame EAT UP with 1873 Winchesters and Colts), Paladin, and a few others.
In re of “The Horse Soldiers” I kinda stand corrected, Grierson’s Troops didn’t have any during the 1863 Raid, only during the 1864/65 Raids into Alabama. Didn’t pay enough attention in the linky article that his use of them was in ’64/65. None of the troops he had with him in ’63 were issued the Colts. Might be why I didn’t remember seeing them in the movie…tho it does give me a reason to watch it…again.

The hell were they doing at the bingo hall at 05:00? They need an armed security guard at a bingo hall?
Guess I must have lived a sheltered life. Or something.
