Watch: Clintonville man holds suspected thief at gunpoint until police arrive
Adam Conn
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A Clintonville resident thwarted an attempted theft right outside of his home, and video surveillance captured the moment early Sunday.According to a social media post by Corey Taylor, he and a witness alerted police that individuals had broken into his truck by shattering a window shortly after 5 a.m. The truck was parked in front of Taylor’s residence on Kelso Road.
While waiting for the police, Taylor decided to take matters into his own hands and approached the suspects, with a firearm in hand. One of the suspects, who was inside the truck, attempted to flee but immediately went down to the ground upon seeing Taylor and the gun.
“I knew once they saw the cop car [that] they’re probably going to run,” Taylor said. “At that point, I didn’t know how long [the police] were going to get here. By that time they could have been long gone.”
The second suspect, who was seen casing vehicles across the street, can last be seen in the video behind a car across the street before disappearing out of the camera’s view.
Court documents state that police arrived seconds later and observed Taylor holding 26-year-old Zachariah Johnson at gunpoint along the sidewalk where the truck was parked.

I don’t think the lads who scampered off from these two adventures will be in the wind for very long. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

I got a Webley about a year ago. It’s the only firearm I’ve ever bought just to have and not shoot. It’s
in great condition.
.455, baby!

Shoot it! They are so much fun. Is it in .455 or was it shaved for .45ACP?
This is my recent acquisition.
NSW Police Webley MP .455
It also chambers and fires .45ACP wadcutters loaded to appropriate pressures.
Welcome to Arizona. We’re all armed. All the time.
Even the ones that are standing on a corner in Winslow? Tell me more about those 7 wymmin that’s on their minds.
Odd how quickly some can remember pressing business elsewhere when they are confronted by armed citizens.
Welp, you can always make a paperweight out of it. Some models can even be recycled back into Tupperware.
Can’t hardly look at the Webley and not think of the Zulu Brit movies. “…it was specifically made to use the 45 Colt cartridge to take advantage of its superior power.” heh heh
Gotta give the Brits one thing…they are the only people on Earth whose weapons can be said to be fuglier than French ones.
Oh, and up till the mid-’30s .45 Colt (and yes, ‘.45 Long Colt’ is also historically accurate) in full 37-40 grain black powder loads was the most powerful revolver cartridge available. If you shoot a 250 or so grain bullet over 37 grains of black in a revolver, you will definitely notice the result, as would anything getting by its 950-1000/fps bullet.
Fugly maybe, but they both had solid, successful DA guns long before America embraced DA. The Adams revolver was the first, and that was still in the cap n ball days. The French problem was their mousefart 11mm cartridge. Barely .32ACP power.
The .455 Webley bested the .45 Colt in the Thompson – LaGarde Tests of 1904.
Nah, only tourists stand on that corner.
With proper care, these old firearms can still be used to stop a bad guy.
Multiple invaders? May be more to the story but good on the resident for defending his castle. Might have been better with a 12ga. with 00 buck to ensure matters.
The Ohio fellow showed great restraint. Good for him.
I have a Webley on nightstand duty.
If you shoot it at night, you will find there is little to no gap/muzzle flash.
