Tuesday morning feel good stories

A father in Oklahoma is accused of trying to drown his infant twins in the bathtub before a neighbor stepped in and killed the man.
Authorities say Leland Foster allegedly held the mother of his 3-month-old twins at knifepoint Friday as he attempted to drown the infants in the tub.
A 12-year-old girl who was in the home ran next door to a neighbor’s house for help.
The neighbor, Cash Freeman, ran to the house armed with a gun, officials say, and shot Foster twice in the back, killing him.
The infants were rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital and survived.
Upon their arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who said a white male had approached him in his carport and had requested the use of a telephone, Babb said. The victim refused and the man walked away, Babb added.
The resident then entered the home and was confronted by a black male intruder, later identified as [Corey Jamiah] Simmons, armed with a handgun. Simmons demanded money from a female resident who had been thrown to the floor causing a contusion to her head, said Babb.
Simmons then struck the male victim in the head while demanding money, Babb said.
Babb noted that a third person in the home hid in a bedroom and was not harmed during the incident.
“After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, (Simmons) took his attention away from the male victim, which allowed the victim to retrive his own firearm,” Babb said. “The victim confronted the intruder and both exchanged gunfire.”
Babb said the intruder was struck by the gunfire and fled the property, running toward Chandler Way off Marion Boulevard near Ga. Highway 92 South.
Simmons was arrested at the hospital where he was having his new orifices treated.
From Detroit, Michigan;
Detroit Police Chief James Craig said the victim had just made a purchase and was leaving the store. As he came out, he was approached by the armed suspect.
“The suspect ran toward the [off-duty Detroit police] officer with his arm extended, holding a gun,” Craig said. “The officer, fearing for his life, fired shots and killed the suspect.”
But the off-duty officer was shot in the exchange. He was hit twice, once in the mid-torso, once in the foot. In the hours after the shooting he was in emergency surgery.
Down in Lumpkin, Georgia;
An off-duty police officer in southwest Georgia shot a suspect at a local gas station on Monday.
According to local NBC affiliate WLTZ, the incident involved a reported robbery attempt at the gas station, located at the intersection of Broad and Chestnut streets in the city of Lumpkin.
The suspect, who was shot in the head, is reportedly in critical condition.
Earlier reports stated that the officer was shot, which were incorrect.

Legally armed citizens protecting others, and themselves from those who would take life, and our valuables, are the best way to stop the idiots, crazies, and common riff raff. Even an off duty cop will rely on his weapon, and not on his cell phone and 911.
Kudos to the man in Oklahoma for killing that cowardly bastard. I almost wished he survived so Bubba, Thor and Mr. Tiny could pass him around like the bitch he was.
Four incidents; two DRTs and two wounded and in custody (including one who is a possible turnip). Not a bad day at the plate. Well done, good guys.
Guess the guy down in Lumpkin got his lumps…
