Senior Chief Clayton Pressley III sentenced

| March 28, 2017

We talked about Senior Chief Clayton Pressley III a couple of times last year when he was arrested for identity theft – identities that he stole from his subordinates. He pleaded guilty in August to the charges. He was sentenced yesterday to fifty months in prison, according to a link sent to us by Mick.

The Virginian-Pilot seems to think that Pressley is some sort of hero;

Pressley served in the Navy almost 20 years, leaving in February.

He received his Bronze Star in January 2007, according to a copy of the citation, “for exceptionally meritorious service during Operation Iraqi Freedom.”

“His outstanding dedication to duty during combat operations in Iraq contributed to the overwhelming success of the command’s mission,” the citation said.

He got a Bronze Star Medal for merit. That doesn’t make him a hero – even I have a BSM for merit.

In an interview last year, Pressley said that while the citation references his entire tour of duty, he believed he got the medal for pulling comrades from a Stryker vehicle that had been hit by a bomb. He said he did it while under fire.

[…]

Court documents said he served as a command action casualty officer, meaning he contacted military members’ families in the event of their death.

Yeah, if he had done what he says he did, it would have been a BSM for Valor and the incident would have been detailed in the narrative, not some generic BS about contributing to the unit’s mission. You’d think that with their connections to the military community in Virginia, the Pilot would be able to figure that stuff out for themselves.

As a Navy casualty officer, I doubt he ever saw a Stryker, a burning one or not burning.

I’m guessing that his comments were to support a PTSD defense at sentencing. Screw him.

Yef

Senior Chief is an E-8, right?
They get BSM just for deploying.
I agree he saw no stryker.
If is not in the narrative he didn’t do it.
This guy is full of it.

What a way to destroy a career.

Doc Savage

Pretty much….I received my BSM as an Iraq tour award…basically every E-7 and above received one.

That’s not to belittle the BSM, but he didn’t have a “V” device, and as everyone has already pointed out…if its not in the narrative, then it didn’t happen.

CB Senior

Mine must have gotten lost in the mail.

Chief

I was thinking the same thing, brother. I was submitted for one after an 18 month boots-on-ground deployment, it got downgraded to a DMSM, which got downgraded to a JSCM, which got downgraded to a JSAM (back when I was an E-5). yet, some air force E-7 received a BSM for doing the same job I did but for four months instead of 18.

(BTW, I see you’re a bee. I got my bug in 2010 with 30NCR)

NECCSEABEECPO

No brother we didn’t do that shit it was only for the command triad, as depending on when you were there, most units feel under the MEG and awards like that need Marine HQ approval.

The NECC Forward took over and unless your unit always left the wire and you had to prove it with reports, and SITREPS, also 3 sworn statements of witnesses of contact or action. The Navy stopped giving the BSM unless it was for valor around 2010. The only way is if you were with a Task Force like a MITT, PRT or SOF task Force and could prove you were at risk and taking contact.

CB Senior

MEF I and II. There was no way Marine Brass was handing out a BSM to a Bee.

NECCSEABEECPO

They did my last deployment two BSM’s valor and three Navy Coms with V for Afghanistan.

One BSM was with SOF Det

CB Senior

With V makes a big diff for them.
Nice to see guys getting recognized. The ones that deserve it.

Chief

I know exactly what you mean, brother. My above reference was for an 18 month boots on ground deployment with THE task force. We went outside the wire almost daily.

I still remember, with considerable bitterness, what happened when I was in 1/3 ACR after we returned from Desert Storm. Within two weeks, every officer, warrant officer, and E7-E9 was awarded an ARCOM. A couple weeks after that, every E5-E6 was awarded an AAM. Three months later, all E4 and below received a “Regimental Certificate of Appreciation” which was not worth the paper they were printed on.

Anchors away!

2/17 Air Cav

Whatever else he once was, he now is a felon, a con, an inmate, a court-certified criminal and a jailbird. I hope he enjoys reading and re-reading the clippings from his bullshit war history. He certainly has ample time to do so now.

Ex-PH2

He still looks like he has that GAS attitude.

Mick

This guy definitely deserves a low pass from ex-OS2.

Chief

he’s gonna have to get in line on this one. The ENTIRE Chief’s mess has first dibs and most will bingo fuel before they get the chance to fire

fucking cocksucker…

Deplorable B Woodman

KAAA…..BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. …….

SFC D

Stand down, Army. It’s the Navy’s show. Gonna be fun to watch!

CWORet

Agree. Check fire Marines…

Chief

ya know what, After the last RTB, I grabbed some fuel and replenished the load. coming in for round 2 just to make a point…

COCKSUCKER

ocean12

Screw the RTB Chief, tanker on station

Ex-PH2

Yeah, the only stryker he’s ever going to see is the back of my left hand… after the Goats are done with him.

Hondo

Dunno about that, Ex-PH2. This guy looks dumb enough to mouth off repeatedly while in prison.

Pretty sure that will bring him face to face with a few “strikers”.

Ex-PH2

One can only hope so, Hondo.

ex-OS2

Cocksucker.

Chief

QM1

CACO guy so that probably means he was an RP rating, if I had to guess. You would think someone on the Chaplain’s staff would know better than to commit identity theft.

IDC SARC

Articles say he was an EODCS. I can’t confirm or deny that.

NECCSEABEECPO

No he is a Senior Chief EOD type, and each unit assigns an Officer and a Chief as CACO. He was assigned too an EODMU, they have guy’s down range all the time. I believe he was with Joint Task Force Paladin counter IED task force, and from what it sounds like he was an action Officer and probably worked in the TOC and OPS center where they do FORENSICS on all reported IED blast.I was on a IA with a JTF 2010-2011 when the Navy took over as Command element of that task force Paladin and I hung out with the Chiefs from the command as it was that time of year. My Vic got hit by an IED and they had me come over and watch them investigate or figure out what type of device and others things, so they could locate the bomb maker. I would say that is what he was doing when deployed and in home port he was CACO.

He was CACO in home-port, I would bet and he was also the Command Travel Chief that is how he got the info, from his junior troops.

This Shit bag needs burn you POS, you used you rank as a form of trust and took money from junior troops.. Fuck you, you SHIT BAG. You are not a Chief petty Officer you lost that title when you became a thief.

QM1

Oh okay. Thanks for the clarification Chief.

What a scumbag.

Deplorable B Woodman

One “Aw Shit” negates a thousand “Atta Boys”. Sounds like he’s got ten of those “Aw Shits” on him. Tsk.
WTF was he thinking? Obviously he wasn’t.

Mick

According to the article linked above, “Pressley served in the Navy almost 20 years, leaving in February.”.

Please note: “…almost 20 years…”

So he threw away his Navy career, pension, and retirement benefits for the relatively paltry sum of $24,000 that he obtained fraudulently by stealing his Sailors’ identities. And now he’s a convicted felon.

This is criminal stupidity of the highest order.

The mind staggers.

bombstopr

Oh no. It was way more money than that. Millions in contract frauds. He had 2 warehouses of stolen shit. He also was trying to get a contract out on his wife. The Navy is keeping quiet about all that. Probably because there is a 28 year LT (LDO officer) involved. A lot of hanky shit involved with this case.

Ex-PH2

Tip of the iceberg, eh?

Why is that not a surprise?

Mick

Unbelievable.

There’s always more beneath the surface…

MSGT_RET

He was an Senior Chief Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician (EODCS).

MrBill

Any servicemember who steals from his subordinates is pond scum and deserves to be smacked down, hard.

rgr1480

…Any servicemember who steals from his subordinates is pond scum and deserves to be smacked down, hard….

In Ranger School we had one of our “fast burners” caught red-handed stealing a C-rat from another Ranger’s ruck in the early AM …. around Day-10 of Florida phase!!!

He was gone before the afternoon arrived.

And I mean he was a super-trooper … never would have imagined him doing that.

Sheesh.

CWORet

He was hungry maybe? Yea.
In TBS we had dude cheat on a PFT right before graduation (didn’t do pull ups, said he did). Instead of saying something like, “well, if you didn’t see me I’ll have to do them again.” he doubled down on the stupid by going off on the monitor, lying to the Plt Cmdr, ultimately lying to JAG investigator and having our whole platoon involved. Finally admitted it, and was on legal hold awaiting whatever he had coming when we graduated. His name disappeared from the GAL, so I’m assuming they pulled his bars and hammered his junk flat. That whole integrity thing coupled with false statements under oath is hard to get excused.

Hack Stone

The old Phantom PFT will get you every time. I have seen it happen twice, once to a GySgt and the other killed the career of a CWO4. CWO5 USMC can give you the details.

I heard this one when I went through the SNCO Academy way back in the day. One of the requirements for graduating the academy was to write a paper (on military history) and submit it to your instructor for review and grading. It seems that one particular SSgt wasn’t that enthusiastic about writing the paper, so he submitted the paper of a fellow Marine who previously went through the course. Papers were turned in, but they could not find his paper. They asked him, and he said that it was submitted. He was asked the subject of the paper, he told them what it was, they searched the pile and found it. Only problem was that the paper was submitted under the name of the Marine who went through previously. This guy was too stupid/lazy to put his name on the paper. Dropped as an integrity violator.

Carlton G. Long

I agree…stealing from the commander is bad, stealing from a brother officer or soldier is worse, but stealing from a subordinate is really, really low.

SFC D

This is why the Navy should re-instate flogging

Chief

flogging?!?

this punk ass bitch needs to be hung from a yard-arm.

cocksucker…

Ex-PH2

Keelhauling on a diesel sub at crush depth.

Chief

I’ll sponsor a female on a sub for a tiger cruise to make this happen

cleared hot for keelhauling, Ex-PH2.

Silentium Est Aureum

Or from an aircraft carrier doing a flank bell.

Graybeard

1) Cat-o-nine-tails
2) Keel hauling
and if he is still breathing
3) Hang him from the yard-arm

Or give him a swim test. Mid Pacific to California. Shackled.
Chum the water first, though.

Boiling Mad CPO

Anyone can be a Casualty Assistance Calls Officer. I served as a CACO when I was a E5, E6 , and E7. This was during Vietnam when All Hands (out in the field ) had to be available for this duty as well as burial details. The manual says that an officer and a Chaplain should be the first one to notify the Next of Kin, but there were many, many times when I went out by myself. Not a very pleasant duty but did meet some very nice NOK. Reminds me of the time when I had to ask Sen. Teddy to get a body back to USA.
I really hated to request anything from that perv.

CWORet

Some articles are saying he had 19 years before “left the service” or something. Did they admin him already before conviction or do they wait until the sentence is up? Really interested in knowing this maggot will NOT receive pay and benefits upon release.

NECCSEABEECPO

If it is felony and this was, and he was arrested by police not NCIS, they will ETS the member so civilian courts can take over. I had this happen to a troop in my company, he got busted in town for Dealing Meth and production of meth. Navy just admin him out as a burden to the service or something like that.

FatCircles0311

My certificate of commendation reads better than this guy’s BSM.

Ooooooooorah, Marines!

Sgt M

I got sent to mess duty as a Corporal by a Top that I called out. He lied to the platoon and used the company commander in the lie. I called him out in front of the platoon because I knew that what he claimed as an order by him was bogus. The Company commander was on leave because I took him and his family to the airport because I had a truck big enough for their luggage and he paid me to do it. After it all my meritorious mast from the mess Ssgt and his crew for dealing with all the Pfc’s and Lcpl’s and making their life easier, sounds better than this guys award. Top was pissed when
Captain Smith presented me the Mast.

A Proud Infidel®™

May his name and all memories of him be forgotten by everyone as the day he was born is even erased from the calendar.

Silentium Est Aureum

Fuck this guy sideways.

I hate liars, and I hate thieves.

Remember back in the day when someone got caught stealing, how they inevitably fell up several ladders while on their way to see the Captain?

HMCS(FMF) ret

Hoping that the FORMER E-8 COCKSUCKER CLAYTON PRESSLEY II gets daily multiple servings of cockmeat sammiches, ghey whey, tube steak, manmayo and nutbutter during his 4+ years of incarceration in a poundhimintheass prison by the boys at the BTJT Deli (Home of the WORLD FAMOUS COCKMEAT SAMMICH).

Just An Old Dog

Question: Since he was apprehended and tried and convicted by the feds what is the Navy going to do to him?
Since he was short of 20 I would think they would have an administrative hearing and separate him with a General Discharge under Other Than Honorable Conditions with a reduction to E-1 and forfeiture of all pay and allowances. No retirement, not eligible for VA benefits.

HMC Ret

Every reference to ‘Senior Chief’ in the storyline and remarks should be changed to ‘E8’
Maybe he was a Senior Chief at one time, but when he started screwing his troops, the Navy and the Chief’s Mess, he’s nothing but an E8. He would never again be welcomed into a Chief’s Mess. At least not by me and those I rubbed elbows with in the Mess. A disgrace

bombstopr

There is a lot of mystery here in Va Beach over this. This was Federal charges in a Federal court. This POS was involved in a lot more than just this. Contract frauds in the millions, selling government gear on the civilian market, and even trying to get a hit on his wife. There is a 28 year LT LDO (Limited Duty Officer, prior enlisted) EOD Tech who was the contract officer involved and it is mysteriously quiet about what is going on here. What happened to the other criminal actions? I’m trying to find out if the rumor Pressley was Administratively Separated is true or not.

Ex-PH2

If you do find out, send the info to the admin of this website.

I wouldn’t even give this shitbag to a polar bear at the zoo, he would never get the taste out of his mouth! Fuck this cocksucking ass hamster as well!
