The Paul Wickre Chronicles: Paul in his own words
As the legal issues raised by this situation are evaluated and the facts investigated, for the time being TAH will not allow any more comments on any of the Wickre/Monkress/APL threads. Thank you for your patience as we work through this.
(In light of yesterday’s events at the Navy Yard, I’m publishing this so you can see what we are dealing with.)
NOTE: SHould go without saying, but behave yourself in the comments. THIS WILL BE READ BY LAW ENFORCEMENT. I want to make sure they get the threat, so don’t say something dumb. Kapiche?
We haven’t posted any updates on Paul Wickre for nearly a month now. In fact, we even went a step further and locked down the threads. I wanted to briefly explain why, and show you what we are dealing with behind the scenes. We are doing this because clearly he does not intend to stop emailing and commenting here, despite numerous entreaties that he no longer contact us.
For now, we have a great attorney helping us out. (No need to send money, we are good for now.)
His name is John D. Mason, and his law practice is “Copyright Counselors” out of….Bethesda Maryland, where Paul Wickre is located, which makes it much easier. He’s also an adjunct professor at George Mason University, where I graduated from law school. But the ironic part is, he has also worked with someone we all know and love loathe: Michael Yon. (In his defense, he also has Mike Totten as a client, so he’s one for two on those guys.)
Anyway, he’s phenomenal, and I won’t clutter this up too much praising him, because he deserves his own thread and hosannas once this is over. Suffice to say that dude has helped us immeasurably, dealing with local law enforcement, Mr. Wickre’s attorney and others. And he answers my calls and questions every time I call. So, if you are writing a book or need a literary agent, call him. If you are being sued for defamation, call him. He gets my highest recommendation across the board for legal knowledge, eagerness to help, responsiveness etc.
Anyway, yes, he’s helping us deal with local law enforcement on the ground in Maryland. Since we last talked about Wickre, things went RAPIDLY south. For obvious reasons, I am going to be somewhat circumspect here. As I was about to leave the country for Cuba, Wickre decided it was time to ramp up the physical threats. Rather than talk about them in the abstract, I am going to include some of the comments we blocked from the website, and emails we received, and let his words speak for themselves.
I perceived the threat to be real enough that I contacted three FBI field offices, my local police, and the police in Maryland. All of them have responded well, albeit somewhat slower than I would have liked, since I was headed out of the country. I got a new security system for my house, and started getting my wife to understand the basics of personal security. My father in law came down to stay with her, and to teach her some basic firearms skills. Now, my house isn’t the Alamo that Jonn has created, but I daresay we can hold out until reinforcements could arrive.
Wittgenfeld thinks we are being “pussies” for contacting the police. Ok. Then I am a pussy. But I love my wife, and didn’t want her to get beaten with a baseball bat (see below) when I wasn’t there to protect her. I haven’t included Jonn and my responses to these emails and comments, because largely all I have responded with was “do not contact us, continued emails constitute harassment.”
Where do we stand now? I’m not sure what I am at liberty to discuss. I will have updates for you as soon as developments occur. But this is only the first part of what will likely be a VERY long process. Because it is our opinion that this might go far deeper than just Paul Wickre… He continues to allege that his efforts are being bankrolled by APL and Monkress (for example: he wrote that “The litigation expense of multiple firms on this puzzle is being underwritten by the Principals as below, the Wickre Family Trust, APL and Phil Monkress.”). Which means that we are exploring the possible involvement of APL and Monkress in these threats and harassment.
For now though, I give you the threats and insanity that have been going on in the background in the form of emails and unpublished comments he has submitted to the TAH website for publication.

Defamtion per se in MD. Of the 5000 posts perhaps 3000 alledge some mental illnes or alchololism. Despite never having seen one blog person, gone through a clinical trial and no judicial comments on alcoholism, The Lilyea commentaors gain ground as under the MD per se defamtion claims, as alcoholism is in fact a loahsome disease, by the original code.
Thus every commnet in this regards is defamatory. In MD 2009,we are entitled to Brodie discovery and form individual suits to the claim of alcohol abuse.WOW- A lot of money to chase 30-40 people??? Were I in your shoes, a big concern would be getting SWATted.
While the Bureau is very good at catching provocateurs (the Dallas office in particular), and the U.S. Attorneys pursue such cases vigorously, that doesn’t help so much before hand. But, if you’re concerned that it’s a viable threat, making a report to the locals is a good start.
You might want to deleted this post, least someone isn’t dissuaded by an almost certain 8 years minimum, severe asset forfeiture, plus subsequent, life-long strictures on the use of phones/Internet/ computers.

Paul K. Wickre in Bethesda, MD really looks like the type of person who thrives on intimidating, bullying, and dragging other people down. Here at TAH, we aren’t the type that run away, we’ve earned what we’ve got, and we aren’t ashamed of who we are and what we’ve done to get there. Wickre is someone who hasn’t earned what he has, thus the “lucky sperm club” claim thinking it would impress or intimidate us, that failed along with everything else! Nonetheless, Paul K. Wickre’s threats should NOT be taken lightly anymore, and any Law Enforcement entity doing so after yesterday’s shooting is more worthless than bird crap on a windshield!

Since I wasn’t a trust fund baby/lucky sperm club member, I am unfamiliar with “Brodie Action”, so thanks to Al Gore’s internet, I found the following:

So, should we be in fear of Brodie the surfer dude? Is he a hit man for PKW? And, coincidently, as I was driving home, I saw a 26 foot delivery truck with “Brody Trucks”. Cue the Twilight Zone theme.
Actually, Hack, Brodie refers to an Australian law, which somehow applies in Wickre’s tiny lawyer brain to US law. It isn’t even applicable in this case, let alone, this country.

What I see is a flabby, Weak, Mole faced, bespectacled sack of shit who gets shit faced and rants on a keyboard but is too afraid to even step out of his house.
I’m betting he doesn’t even own a firearm and probably has never fired one in his life. His rants and raves also expose that he isn’t a very physical person at all. He’s never did any type of physical labor or played any sport. I seriously doubt if he has ever fought a male in his life.
He is frightened to death of any real sort of physical confrontation, armed or not. The only thing he can do is get drunk and make threats over the internet.

“Brodie discovery” refers to Independent Newspapers, Inc. v. Brodie, a Maryland Court of Appeals case dealing with how and when a person can subpoena a web-host for information that would help that person learn the identity of anonymous posters, so that they can be sued for defamation.
The good news, is that, generally speaking, subpoenas can’t be enforced unless the moving party can show some potential merit to his case.
The bad news: Pro se plaintiffs are often less-than-candid about the facts and law when they make ex parte (viz. only one side is present) requests for subpoenas (and also restraining orders re internet harassment).

A lot of County Courts and Law Enforcement Agencies have what they refer to as “Wacko Case Files”. I’m certain that if such a thing exists in Montgomery County, MD, they have an Encyclopedia Brittanica-sized file labeled “Paul K. Wickre”.

I don’t know the mechanics of involuntary commitment in MD, but it is time to learn them.
At our facility, we ask local police to perform welfare checks on persons with suspected serious psychiatric problems. If the cops suspect a serious problem during their visit, the person is brought to the ER for mental health evaluation.

Something is more than just angry-wrong here, and the threats should be evaluated further.
You should be able to call a county mental health clinic or state hospital in MD and get the details on how to start an involuntary mental health petition.

In reading the “Brodie discovery” reference above @135, since I’ve made no threats toward pickwick peckerwood, what would be the basis for his requiring my address?
That I have repeatedly said he’s stupid, annoying and boring is simply stating and opinion and nothing else, and I’m entitled to my opinion even if he doesn’t like it.
However, he’s threatened me (and others) on TAH, so maybe I should engage in some sort of discovery process myself to find out if Phildo is paying psul the uncool to harrass, annoy and threaten people who post on TAH.
Tit for tat, I’d say.

Man, I, too, have been gone, though only for a day, and return to find that, once again, I’ve missed all the excitement. Sigh.
Someone needs to contact Phildo and get a comment.
I have several theories here, and feel free to chime in on which one seems most likely to have occurred. Scenario 1: Phil needed a hit on TAH, and he needed some plausible deniability to keep him above the fray. He needed someone that would be willing to skirt the law, and if the line got crossed, oh well. So, he brings in Paul. Paul, being the loyal employee, is more than eager to fight for Phil’s honor. Mistakenly believing that he has superior internet skills, he launches his “anonymous” attack, which, much to his dismay, is almost immediately traced back to him. A little internet sleuthing from the board members digs up his previous court cases, which raises a lot of red flags regarding APL hiring practices. Each time Paul took a hit at TAH, it came back on him three fold. More exposure and questions get asked about Phil, Paul and APL. Finally, getting tired of the heat on APL, the board of directors gave him his walking papers. Instead of realizing that Phil played him for the fool, he has continued to double down, fighting the losing battle for the last four months. Phil may be funneling money to him under the table, otherwise, no logical reason for Paul to continue coming here. Scenario 2: Paul discovers that Phil is having internet problems, and, on his own accord, with no direction from Phil, Paul takes on TAH. Phil tries to get Paul to stand down, but Paul is such loose cannon, he cannot be reined in. Before Paul causes a nuclear holocaust within the APL boardroom, Phil and the Star Chamber decide that Paul needs to be tossed overboard if there is even the remotest chance of APL surviving this shit storm. Left out in the cold, feeling abandoned, the only way that Paul can get back for being canned is to continue the battle, as each posting keeps APL in the crosshairs. I am more in the line of thinking that Paul (of the Ballsack) walked in on Phildo laying the pipe to “Big Dawg” IN the board room and got angry.
The result is an upset, jealous lover.
GT, you give psul too much credit in re: the sex part. I am more in the mindset that he’s more impotent than anything else, and that since no one has DARED to oppose him when he’s having one of his blistering temper tantrums, he can’t deal with it.
So, yeah, he got fired, but his back & forths with JL/TAH posted up top imply that Monkress is still paying him cash money – direct cash in a envelope, wire transfers, money orders, whatever — to do the dirty work for him. When none of it succeeds in shaking off TAH, as has been shown to date, psul engages in the ‘last resort’ of threats of physical violence.
Waiting in the wings, phildo can say ‘no, he was fired in June 2013’.
Basically, I’m saying psul is the fall guy and doesn’t have enough common sense to realize that he’s just being used by phildo, for revenge, if nothing else.
Will it end? Sure. I’ve worked for someone who would go into a screaming fit at the copier if it jammed instead of saying ‘crap, the copier’s jammed again’. He was 99% bluster and 1% real, because he would slam things, throw things and break things.
Psul is 80% bluster and 20% real. Phildo is even more of a coward than psul.
