Today’s Coronavirus Follies

| May 1, 2020

Coronado Beach, pre-COVID

Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, is angry. Why? Because some people had the temerity to actually Go To The Beach, and enjoy themselves! In direct defiance of his specific orders. The very nerve.

So he ordered the beaches to be closed. All 840 miles of them. Any trespassers will accosted by Park Rangers. Meanwhile…

Coronavirus: California governor orders release of 7 high-level sex offenders as he criminalizes beach attendance

By Hollie McKay

Just days before California’s Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered the closure of parks and beaches in Orange County, making it a criminal offense to step foot in the sand, the state ordered the release of seven high-risk sex offenders from the county’s jails over concerns they could contract coronavirus.

The move prompted the District Attorney’s Office to issue a safety warning to the community this week, highlighting that the men are likely to re-offend.

“These kinds of high-risk sex offenders are the most dangerous kind of criminal and the most likely to re-offend,” DA Todd Spitzer said in a statement. “They are doing everything they can to avoid detection by the parole officers assigned to monitor them so they can potentially commit additional sex offenses. These are not the kind of people who should be getting a break.”

According to Spitzer’s office, Court Commissioner Joseph Dane ordered the controversial releases throughout April, despite the men having been charged with tampering with their GPS monitoring devices.

Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes also argued in a statement released Wednesday that the jails are not currently overcrowded, social distancing and quarantine measures have been put in place, thus stressing that freeing these inmates was not necessary.

Brilliant! He’s also all in for giving tax dollars to illegals. Read the rest of the article here: Fox News

The State of Kommiefornia is Krazy. Nuff said…

This whole COVID thing has shown Democrats (and a disturbingly large number of Republicans) for the wanna-be tyrants and fascists they really are. I really don’t see why in CA and NY it’s considered health care prevention to take violent, dangerous people out of prison and put them back on the street. Instead of being contained, one might say “socially isolated”, they’re out and free to interact with as many victims as they want.

I guess this is also the party that believes killing babies is “healthcare” too, so I shouldn’t be surprised. It’ll be interesting to see if people remember this in two years when he’s up for reelection.

In Washington state the release of the Green River serial killer was prevented by only one vote in the state’s Supreme Court. But for that vote, the man who has admitted to killing 71 women was slated for release because of his over fifty age and the ChiCom virus.

Mason

Just read up on that. What. The. Fuck.

One other thing I’ve noticed during this COVID crisis is that governors see another governor doing something and it’s monkey see, monkey do. Whatever stupid idea they’re peddling in one ultra lib state they push in another one.

Thankfully my lefty governor hasn’t tried to join the good idea fairies of Cuomo, de Blasio, Newsom, or the biggest idiot of them all Whitmer. My governor has actually impressed me a little bit. Still jealous of South Dakota though, their governor has looks and brains.

As the rest of the world put masks on, the masks on the would-be tyrants (of every stripe) slipped, and showed us what we always knew was beneath it.

Skippy

We had a small one here in New Mexico
Tomorrow there is one taking place
In Cloudcroft Nm and about a dozen other
Locations. Grants in the so called hot zone
In NW NM told the governor to fuk off
And re opened yesterday
There is a news black out on what is going
On up there because it doesn’t follow
What our governor has dictated

David

Who needs to pactice social distancing in Cloudcoft? Is there overcrowding at the Western or something?

Skippy

Never nothing is open up here
herr da governor has her state gastapo enforcing her will

NHSparky

NMs issues can be limited to 4 counties, of which my old home of San Juan County is one. I’m just wondering why so many cases there.

Anything to do with folks coming from elsewhere to Farmington for testing and treatment, or something else?

Skippy

Like Arizona but not all of it, the Navajo nation has been hit really hard
Then all the First Nation groups along I-40 in New Mexico then up to Santa Fe
Like 75-80 percent of the cases here can be traced back to them
All they are saying is the strain can be traced back to Europe
As of two hours ago the mayor in Gallup was asking the governor to declare
Martial Law there and to close down the that area to all outsiders
Until further notice
I’m glad I don’t live there that’s all I can say

Skippy

Here’s a link to what’s going on in NM

One of my daughters just wrote a paper on how social media is being used to generate political ‘flash mobs’ for protests etc. for her PhD program! This reads like an echo of it.

borderbillb

For a PhD? I’m almost surprised.

Did these petty tyrants open a bottle of something they couldn’t control? Something like that?

If I recall history correctly, tyrants frequently end up some place where they don’t want to be…

rgr769

Let us not forget what is emblazoned on FrontpageMag.com: “Inside every Progressive there is a totalitarian screaming to get out.” (David Horowitz)

Ex-PH2

Did you know that the National Committee, which Robespierre headed to overthrow the French King, decided that Robespierre was too radical for them, and had him thrown into jail?

They were so fed up with him and his excesses that they took all his “power” away from him.

He tried to shoot himself in the head, but missed and hit his jaw instead. He was arrested and thrown into jail, and executed by guillotine (his favorite murder weapon) the next day.

Yes, there was a protest – Big, Fat Protest, too – some miles away from me. I expect to see more. Reality becomes a harsh mistress when The People get fed up and find their “protectors” are really jailers in expensive suits.

Ex-PH2

Well, let’s hope (sincerely) that they’re all exposed for what they really are and lose the votes they were counting on. For example, Cuomo needs to be roped to a rail and dragged out of town behind a pickup with a bad exhaust. (No threat meant, just an observation.)

Steve 1371

I really like the bad exhaust part! Maybe a coal rolling diesel with twin turbos.

Skippy

So while we talk about this. why is no one
filing suite on all of this over stepping by these states here in New Mexico we may not reopen
Until after the November election
Per a video from a fake news outfit.
But the news outfit in Albuquerque
Remove the video clip from of our Lt Gov Running
His mouth 😂😂😂😂
AG Barr can’t even hold people accountable
For trying to rig a election in 2016
I doubt he’s going to do what he says he’s going to
Do now to protect our rights
What a cluster fuk
Where’s Rand Paul we need some wisdom

As they say: Life is a beach

Ex-PH2

Uh, Jeff, you misspelled “beeyatch”.

Mason

What’s that? Life’s bleach. I should inject myself with Clorox because it disinfects.

thebesig

The court ordered their release. Each of them had parole violations on their record.

11B-Mailclerk

It is only a matter of time until there is an excessive response to either a forbidden protest or some forbidden peaceful gathering.

They cannot allow these defiances to go on. Otherwise the wogs might believe obedience to the Master is optional.

Temperatures go up, followed by tempers.

NHSparky

OC Register says at least two of them have since been rearrested.

Shocked face. Right here.

Just An Old Dog

Newsom actually pulled back on closing all beaches after The counties ( San Diego was one) told him that they weren’t going to fall for his mass punishment bit.

Here’s a take from a couple doctors in CA. This sure won’t make those pushing the panic narrative happy…

Good video! I was particularly amused how at the end of the video, the one doctor got really uncomfortable with the direction the conversation had gone.

Article on the USS T. Roosevelt

6000+ aboard, zero “social distancing” possible. 655 tested positive, an approx 11% -infection- rate, of which 60% had no reported symptoms. -Six- hospitalized or approx 0.1%, -One- death or approx 0.017%.

Yup, crew is more healthy than general public. Good example of “most healthy folks”.

I think that kinda nails down “not nearly as bad as the hype”.

Also, kinda shows that some governments screwed up by the numbers, and made things -lots- worse, needlessly.

In other words, the “models” were -bullshit-, and so is the shutdown.

Study of prisoners in four states shows that 96% of those infected were asymptomatic.

The more we learn about the virus, the less scary it seems.

I agree, sexual predators should not be in prison. They should be hung by their genitals, with piano wire, until dead.

It would be NICE if those Sex Offenders released by Gavin Newsom were to *COUGH!*, disappear if you know what I mean!
