Breast implants deflected bullet, saved woman’s life

She was saved by silicon.
A woman survived a close-range gunshot thanks to her silicone breast implants, doctors have discovered.
Researchers detailed how a silicone breast implant deflected the bullet from nipping the 30-year-old woman’s vital organs in a new study published in the SAGE medical journal.
“The implant caused the change in the trajectory of the bullet,” surgeon Giancarlo McEvenue, a co-author of the study, told CNN.
“The bullet wound entry was on the left breast, but the rib fracture was on the right side. The bullet entered the skin on the left side first, and then ricocheted across her sternum into the right breast and broke her rib on the right side,” he explained.

Denise, an experienced fisher, suffered a penetrating chest wound by a blue marlin’s bill while sport fishing with a friend. After her friend had hooked the marlin, it came out of the water and stabbed her in the arm, through her silicone breast implant and into her chest. Doctors say that the silicone implant may have absorbed the force of the impact potentially saving her life. If Denise did not have the silicone breast implants doctors speculate the marlin’s bill would have punctured her lung. She survived the incident, but had to have her implant removed and replaced because it had been forced through her rib cage into her chest.
Now we can classify silicone breast implants as PPE. Sadly, too late for Steve Irwin.
Now I can keep a Breast of the the work being done with silicone. The Knights of years ago should have thought of using silicone on the breast plates of their armor.
The existence of breasts proves that a man can focus on two things at once.
