Absolutely nothing like a 1911 in the hands.
A big heavy, beautiful gun that has at least a million different accessories !!!!
The recoil is one of the smoothest mechanisms in the entire firearm industry !!!
I miss mine so much, she was so pretty !!!!!

Very true. And contrary to popular belief (among those who really don’t know), the 1911 is sweet to shoot. My wife, all of 5ft nuthin’ and 100lbs soaking wet, loved to shoot my 1911 stoked with 230gr ball. She handled it like a pro. I had to buy her one of her own so I could keep mine.

‘Ed, I think you got the Gardenerville Nev perp in the wrong category.
Instead of being in the “weepin’ & seepin'” he should be in the “put down” DRT, making today’s tally 2/1/0.
I realize you put this together in the Oh-dark-too-damned-early hours, with too much blood in your caffeine stream. So you are forgiven. Again.

There might be a trend here, if a person drinks heavily, then tries to or does break into a house, they may get shotted. Would ‘magine stupidity is a comorbid condition in these cases. A certain resident commie would probably want the NIH and CDC to get to the bottom of this…
But I found the cure: don’t be drunk and stupid, and if you is, stfh (stay the f home).
    Now, give me monies!

Anyone else having issues with their comments not appearing? Not just coming up as “in moderation”, BTDT. Just seemingly disappearing.

I’ve posted like four times today and all but one have gone into the ether. We’ll see if this #5 does as well.

Now it seems to work. Trying something.

No idea, Mason. Your comments weren’t pending approval. Slow interwebs with all the teleworking, perhaps.

Seems to be working now. Maybe it’s something on my end.

A while back, I posted a couple of things that did not go thru as well and did not come up in moderation.

The posts had no links in them.

I tried and retried to post and it still would not take.

I tried posting on time on Commissared Wtetch Post under his Trivia thread and it still would not take.

I shut off my PC, ran all sorts of virus and malware checks which came out clean and it still would not take.

I gave up. Don’t know what happened.
