Sunday Feel Good Stories
Once more, into the breach —
GREENVILLE, S.C. — A man shot another man Thursday night outside a Greenville County Bilo store, according to Lt. Ryan Flood, with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened about 6:30 p.m. outside the store on East North Street.
Flood said Robert Harold Mattson, 26, charged a man and placed him in a chokehold during an altercation.
The victim shot Mattson in self-defense, and Mattson was taken to the hospital, Flood said.
His injuries were described as non-life-threatening, Flood said.
The victim was also taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, according to Flood
Next: PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police said a 20-year-old man is behind two bizarre robberies, including one in which he allegedly tried to shoot his way out of a store after being locked inside.
Investigators said Shawn Brown, 20, robbed two cell phone stores within an hour timeframe between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The first location was the Metro PCS store on 22nd Street near Somerset Street.
“Calm and dumb,” said store employee Dayadara Colon.
That’s how Colon described Brown, who employees said enter the store with his face half-covered while flashing a gun.
The following story is two years old but the video is funny. And wouldn’t it be easier to rob a Taco Bell if you’d worked at one in the past?

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — An armed man tried to rob a Philadelphia Taco Bell, but was tripped up by the cash register.
The robbery happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the restaurant located in the 4400 block of North Broad Street.
Surveillance video shows the man, wearing a hooded jacket with the hood covering his face, yelling at an employee to open the register while pointing a handgun.
Instead, the employee runs back into the kitchen to call for help.
That’s when the suspect goes behind the counter and tries to open the register himself.
Video from overhead shows the man touch some buttons on the screen, but nothing happens.

Stealing from the Taco Bell is like trying to carjack a manual when all you know is driving an automatic.
These days, “stick shift” counts as a theft deterrent system.
Gots me two stick shifts. A Red Line and a Nizmo. Hauling ass little phuquers. My man at the tire store no longer has anyone besides himself that can pull them into the shop on the rack. Same problem at the dealership for the Nizmo.
3 idiots off the streets is always a good thing.
