Not hard at all to be FIRST when you had absolutely NO, ZERO, NONE, NADA Competition. I mean, like, you were all alone, kinda like your sex life can be. Not sure where VOV, Mick, T’stixx and some of the other usual suspects were, but the KoB was already dispatched on TDY to another AO and all the Telegraph Lines were down. That intelligence was posted FIRST thing this morning. Walk in the park for you. You’re Welcome.
For those who aren’t DOOOOOOOOOOMMMMEEEEDDDD (OWB, you’re up) m r geese have started their migration thru the AO. Saw a flock breaking apart over Firebase Magnolia just about near dark-thirty on Sunday Evening, 1/3 to the pond about 1 mile NE, 1/3 to the pond about 1 mile NW, and the other 1/3 toward the pond about 1 mile to the SW. They were forming up their V as I was leaving out this morning and as I was passing the two ponds to the NW/SW, those birds were taking off to join up. It was cool as hell. Going out in a few to see if I can spot another flight.

Oh you started uncontrollable laughing in our house
Q: How do you know that Daniel Bernath has been in your refrigerator?
A: The National Transportation Safety Board is removing a Flight Design CTSW airplane from your vegetable crisper.
Q: How come Daniel Bernath never bothered to make lodging reservations when traveling?
A: Because he knew that he could always find a place to crash.
Q: What do you call a disbarred lawyer who crashes his plane 200 yards from the runway?
A: The Plaintiff.
And submitted for your reading pleasure:

Wow … spooky quiet in here. Let me see if I can jazz things up a little with this week’s trivia. DID YOU KNOW…? Is the body of Vladimir Lenin still on display in Moscow? By Commissioner Wretched It’s getting close to Halloween again! And that means it’s time to decide what I want to dress up as for the day. Yes, I know I’m 61 years old, and I know that I’m about a half-century past “trick-or-treating.” Sometimes I feel like a kid at heart. Sue me. I could dress up as a farmer, wear a name tag that says, “Life,” and hand out lemons. I could carve a big potato chip out of styrofoam, glue it to a sweater, and walk around with a chip on my shoulder. Or I could wear my old graduation cap and gown with various sweet confections stuck to it, going as a “Smart Cookie.” I could perhaps wear my tuxedo and a sash saying “I’m Sorry,” and go as a Formal Apology. Hey, maybe I could wear Groucho Marx glasses and a mustache, have the word “Blessing” printed on a shirt, and go as a Blessing in Disguise. I know … I’ll dress as a zombie, wear a shirt with the word “Thanks” on it, and go as the Grateful Dead. Or, as I do most years, I’ll dress up as a human being and scare everybody. Nah, I’ll just stay home and serve up more trivia! Did you know … … pound cakes are called that for a reason? When the recipe was first developed in the early 18th Century, it called for a pound of each of the following: butter, eggs, sugar, and flour. As you might expect, the cake that resulted from that particular set of measurements was pretty big. Though the amounts of ingredients have been scaled back quite a bit over the centuries, the dessert has maintained the name. (I thought they were called that because you gained a pound for every bite.) … about two dozen people are killed each year by champagne corks? The majority… Read more »
If you were a sailor and had boanthropy, would you identify as a seacow?
Bernathropy is a psychological disorder where you believe that you are an Honorary Chief Petty Officer. The only cure is to descend from 25,000 feet above sea level to six feet below ground level in ten seconds or less.
Hack, that one cause me to spew a mouthful of Diet Coke, but I luckily avoided hitting my keyboard or monitor. Too funny!!!
Hack does not need any frivolous lawsuits seeking damages for replacement computer monitors. Visitors assume the risk that anything posted on TAH merits a Level IV Spew Alert.
Then Hack needs to post a Spew Alert before making such comments.
Just sayin’
On the topic of the Eiffel Tower, there’s the story of Bill Overstreet Jr. A young American P-51 Mustang driver over Paris in 1944 who chased a German Bf-109 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 the Eiffel Tower, to the delight of the Allied soldiers on the ground.
https://www.uasvision.com/2014/01/09/wwii-pilot-who-flew-through-eiffel-tower/
I believe he was featured here a few years back. I believe it was an obituary when he passed away.
Here’s the story with a great bio on him !!!

Speaking of the Eiffel Tower, I read that the French cut EVERY elevator cable in it just before Hitler visited the city during Nazi occupation.
Nice subway station photo. No people.
I’ll bet it doesn’t smell like the urine soaked
platforms of the MBTA in Boston.
Congrats ChipNASA on the win. Wear it.
I’ve ridden these trains in Moscow. No urine smell, no panhandlers. Lots of cops on patrol; cops that will arrest you for any minor infraction. Each station looks like a museum. They put our American subways and metro stations to shame. Most of their system is 200 feet underground, so the stations can double as bomb shelters. And contrary to the published photo, they’re continually packed with crowds of people, except when the entire system shuts down for maintenance in the wee hours of the morning.
“No urine smell, no panhandlers. Lots of cops on patrol; cops that will arrest you for any minor infraction. Each station looks like a museum.”
Sounds like the socialist paradise we’ll have under Bernie when he takes over.
Someone help me please. Last night I spoke with a liberal and I still can’t get stupidity to stop echoing. We spoke of taxes and he told me I didn’t pay as much as I do. He said income tax was only this much. I said I also (as does everybody) pay sales, property, excise, etc taxes. He said those don’t count because of all the good those taxes do. Going for broke, I asked how do politicians become rich; he said, since I have more than one source of income, the politicians can also have more than one source of income.
Ask him where his electric power comes from.
If he says out of a wall socket, you’re in Dimwit Territory and need to head for the nearest exit.
Show the person this:
Americans on average spent more on taxes in 2018 than they did on the basic necessities of food, clothing and health care combined, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Expenditure Survey.
The survey’s recently published Table R-1 for 2018 lists the average “detailed expenditure” of what the BLS calls “consumer units.”
“Consumer units,” says BLS, “include families, single persons living alone or sharing a household with others but who are financially independent, or two or more persons living together who share major expenses.”
In 2018, according to Table R-1, American consumer units spent an average of $9,031.93 on federal income taxes; $5,023.73 on Social Security taxes (which the table calls “deductions”); $2,284.62 on state and local income taxes; $2,199.80 on property taxes; and $77.85 on what BLS calls “other taxes.”

Secondly, remind him that if he feels that taxes are too low, he can always “donate” to the government and pay more.
We suspect he won’t. It is always the other person who needs to pay more in taxes, not the person demanding that taxes be raised.
Things like car registrations, licenses, permits, business licenses, occupational licenses, utility franchise fees, etc., are all money to the government coffers.
While there is a technical difference between a tax a fee, in a practical sense, there is no difference.
It doesn’t matter to your pocketbook and budget whether it is call a “tax” or a “fee,” it is still money coming from you and going to the government.
All good information and true. Thank you.
18TH. Pesky work.
Congrats to Chip, WOT Ruler of the Kingdom of DWs/DWets!
I’m adulting so hard today it hurts…
Have a GREAT weekend y’all!
This seems to be appropriate to leave here….. The Volokh Conspiracy has a really interesting article entitled “The Medal of Honor Winner vs. The Historian, and the Right of Publicity” This is from the defendant’s response to the lawsuit: For example, Plaintiff [Hershel Woodrow “Woody” William] was very adamant that Mr. Rigg interview Corporal Darol E. “Lefty” Lee who Plaintiff claimed was a witness to all his heroic acts on Iwo Jima. Indeed, prior to Mr. Rigg, Cpl. Lee had been interviewed numerous times about Plaintiff and has constantly shared stories of Plaintiff’s heroism that he personally witnessed. However, during his research, Mr. Rigg found out that Cpl. Lee had lied about his experiences on Iwo Jima and never witnessed anything Plaintiff did while fighting on the island (as Cpl. Lee was aboard the USS Bayfield being treated for “combat fatigue/shell shock” on the day in question). In fact, Mr. Rigg’s discovery helped the World War II Museum stop a historical documentary it was about to do about Plaintiff and Cpl. Lee once they saw that Cpl. Lee was a “Stolen Valor” case who lied about his combat experiences. This is just one example showing why Mr. Rigg insists on first-hand evidence and has earned a reputation for finding information and separating fact from fiction…. The more research Mr. Rigg did for the book, the more discrepancies appeared. As to Plaintiff, while much of this could be ascribed to a 90+ year old individual trying to recall facts from more than seventy years ago, the simple fact is Plaintiff—while undoubtedly a heroic and legendary figure—has uttered many statements over the years that simply were proving to be false. For example, Plaintiff had always insisted that he volunteered for service as soon as he could (and that his height kept him from volunteering earlier). But the government’s records clearly show both that the height requirement was not an impediment to his service and that, rather than volunteering, Plaintiff was drafted. Moreover, there are problems with Plaintiff’s story of how one of his friends, Vernon Waters, died; how many children his mother… Read more »
Williams’ case is strange, and I’m not completely clear on the legal nuance.
According to the pleading, Williams’ attorney has argued that Riggs’ book is an “infringement of the right of publicity” and not simple libel. There’s also no indication of what Williams is actually seeking in terms of either damages, a halt to publication, or a removal of references to Williams in Riggs’ book.
Normally, an infringement of the right of publicity applies to monetary gain by the use of unauthorized advertising, or, say, the commercialization of products bearing a person’s likeness.
One of the interesting arguments is that since Riggs’ is a public figure, he is somehow apparently exempt from the scrutiny that would apply to someone who is not a public figure. What that does is raise the question: Does someone who is awarded a Medal of Honor automatically become a public figure merely because of the award? What if Williams had been awarded the MOH, and gone back to West Virginia to live a quiet life as a private citizen?
Personally, I’m also not sure I’d agree that anyone who pops up on the radar of a historian, be they public figure or otherwise, is beyond an acceptable range as a reportable figure in events major or minor.
Correction:
That should have been written instead as “since Williams is a public figure, he is somehow apparently exempt from the rules of scrutiny…”
Had me wondering at the mention of “winner”.
This case came across the airwaves of several of us earlier this week. Some folks in WV apparently have wondered for quite some time how a MoH recipient can become so influential and make a career of having received it. According to them, he is untouchable, especially when he is wrong. (Like suing a family to force the movement of a veteran from a family plot to a veterans’ cemetery. Well, at least those parts that could be found. So much for RIP.)
I dunno, but something in this convoluted story doesn’t make sense. At all.
I have spent the week doing “site prep” at the place that I will be moving to. I have driven steel T-posts, dug and planted wood corner posts, and stretched and fastened 210 feet of fence so far. After I get my travel trailer/residence in place I have around 60 more feet of fence and gates to install. The electric run will be around 330 feet, and of that I will use a trencher to do about 275 feet. I have dug through the woods, (and roots), 24 feet, and hand dug along the house where I will take off from, for about 30 feet. I am not as young as I was, but I did have the guy that did the underground locating tell me that there is no way that I am 79 years old.
I am down to the wire on being able to replace my older travel trailer with another one. To date I have raised 40% of what I would need, so if I don’t raise at least $2,000 more before the end of the month, I will have to hope that this old trailer is sound enough to make the move. I have done some reinforcing of the apparently weak areas, and it might make the move. If not, I will have to write a plan B. So, hat in hand, appreciating everyone’s help, I am posting the link to a “Go Fund Me” account that will accept any extra change that you might have.

Ol’ Dirt Dart Danny was so dull that he couldn’t even make an impression into the ground when he crashed, instead, leveling off, and burning in through the longleaf pines in the area. A friend who hunts in that area said that he broke off some tree tops, crashed through one thick trunk, and probably settled ever so slowly to the ground with his freshly dead ass inside.
Sometimes the results are far more important than the methods used to attain them.
This is one of those times.
I heard that the last thing to go through his mind was his ass!!
He is now an all-around sort, covering a wide area of endeavors.
Gives new meaning to “pining” for the fjords.
I had posted this earlier in the thread about St. Crispin’s Day, but the bravery, courage, and selfless sacrifice of the men of TAFFY 3 on this day 75 years ago deserves a re-post here in the WOT:
___________________________________________
We Few…We Band of Brothers…
Today is the 75th anniversary of perhaps the greatest, most courageous feat of arms in the annals and history of the United States Navy. On this day in 1944 off the coast of Samar during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, a puny American force (TAFFY 3) of 6 little escort carriers and 7 destroyers and destroyer escorts took on the might of Takeo Kurita’s Imperial Japanese Center Force of 4 battleships, 8 cruisers, and 11 destroyers.
This unequal battle should have resulted in the complete annihilation of the American task group, as well as of MacArthur’s landing force they were supporting, but it ended instead with the withdrawal and retreat of the mighty Japanese force because of the bloody courage and sheer will of the fighting sailors and airmen of TAFFY 3 in fending off the Japanese charge. TAFFY 3 lost 2 CVEs and 3 DDs/DEs and a thousand sailors in this unequal fight, but forced the Kurita force to withdraw with the loss of 3 heavy cruisers and numerous other damaged ships, thus saving MacArthur’s invasion of Leyte.
“We Few…We Band of Brothers” has never been more aptly used than to describe the men of TAFFY 3 who fought, died, persevered on this day in 1944…

For more on TAFFY 3 in the Battle off Samar, see wiki entry below:

Also read Jams F Hornfischer book “The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors.”
I read it and it was truly one of the best books about “Taffy 3” and the Battle off Samar I have ever read.
And I’ve read quite a few that tried to tell about that horrific battle. None are as good as the one written by Mr Hornfischer.
I’m still reading, “The American Fleet at Flood Tide” and am finally into the 300’s out of 567 pages total.
Any of the books from Mr Hornfischer are a great read.
You’ll laugh, cry, but mostly you will wonder in Awe about the men that were part of the “War in the Pacific”
WWII was two separate wars with the European War supposedly being the first call for materiels of war and manpower.
In 1943 there was an uptick in the supplies and the manpower needed for the Marine Corps when the savagery of battles in the Pacific were beyond anything that had previously been experienced in any theatre of war.
“No quarter was asked, and no quarter was given”
If you read any of the books from Mr Hornfischer, you will be hooked…
Guaranteed !!!
What is the latest on Mike Sleeper’s status. He is still on Facebook a lot. Was he ever able to convince anyone that he was an actual Army Ranger?
He can always claim Honorary Ranger, he just needs some rudimentary PhotoShop skillz.
Just a little Christmas stocking stuffer for your favorite Python fan this holiday….
While I respect his opinion, I disagree.

One of the neat things about a civilized society. We can respect each other and disagree about things.
Which means that the (D)unces are uncivilized savages, but we knew that.
I’m with you… maybe just a small enough contingent to monitor, and if they should ever pose an actual threat, call in Arc Light…No reason to keep our folks in harms way, just keep an eye on the rag heads, and turn em into a smoking hole in the ground if they ever get ideas beyond fucking goats
I’ve always thought that’s what’ll end up happening. We’re never getting out of there.

Top 50, but First in the hearts of my grandkids.
When the WOT fell, I was off at the pharmacy to get a prescription filled for granddaughter #2, who has her 3rd bout of strep throat this semester. Not fun.
4 grandsons off for a campout tonight, so of course it is misting rain and cold. They’ll do fine. Their parents were both Explorers.
6 month check up on the prostate cancer went well. PSAs up a bit, but the Dr. is not concerned. Follow-up with next one in April.
Stopped on the way home from picking up another grandson and his father from school and got some more ammo for squirrel hunting. Hope to get a few for the pot and make some more squirrel dumplings.
Y’all have a great weekend.
Sounds great Graybeard, I’m jealous about the squirrel dumplings.. Elk / Deer season starts in a week, very much looking forward to it! If nothing else, a week in the woods, away from “civilization” will be worth it! Just took the boy out to buy ammo, first time he had to pay.. a bit of sticker shock for him… guess I spoiled him too much, but he’s learning… and he can only hunt the weekends this year, ’cause he has a full time job… he’s learning that this whole adult thing sucks sometimes…
Yeah, this adult thing ain’t all it was cracked up to be.
We have the firearms deer season starting in my neck of the woods November 2nd. I never go out the first weekend, but hope to get some quality time out there and, hopefully, finally get me a deer.
I reloaded enough 30-30 a couple of years back to hold me another season or two (if I take shots at the feral hogs around in the bargain), but then, yeah – gotta lay out some greenbacks. I try to watch the sales.
Hope you and your son have a great time in the woods, making memories and occasionally getting a shot in on some winter meat.
Hey Lars, the persecution of LTG Flynn by your deep state pals is being exposed:

Sorry, not going to give more power to your big government goons on the off chance that the earth might get a few degrees warmer. You might want to concern yourself with the mess that your Dem pals are making closer to home in your beloved Cali before you come trying to tell the rest of us how we should live.
Ok-I have no idea how this ended up here, I clicked to reply to Lars.

I know most of you deny climate change. You might consider reading this anyway.
https://climateandsecurity.files.wordpress.com/2019/07/implications-of-climate-change-for-us-army_army-war-college_2019.pdf
We all know that climate changes periodically. The paper you linked to takes no position on whether that change is man made or natural. Therein lies the argument; is climate change man made or a naturally occurring phenomenon? This Army War College paper doesn’t make the argument for either side.
Where in hell is the “Like” button?
He shoots, he scores!
Man made climate change occurs when you
move to a different location.
“deny climate change”? Or deny earthling’s part in it? Yes, Climate Change is real. No, we humans are not causing it, and anyone who thinks that we mere specks in the grand scheme of things are responsible is empty headed, easily led, and is very unaware of science as it is. Ol’ Sol is the culprit in this. Further, any part that the US plays in any sort of pollution, i.e. smog, trash, plastics, etc. is miniscule compared to any of dozens of other countries.
Want to talk about the major polluters of the World’s Oceans? Let’s start with China and India, the two biggest!
You’re right… and wrong. It’s like saying if I take a magnifying glass, and use the sun to start a fire, it’s Ol’ Sol’s fault, not mine. Yes, the energy is coming from the sun, but that isn’t changing in dramatic ways. The ‘greenhouse’ gases are called that because they change how solar radiation impacts the earth’s ecosystem, and greenhouse gases emissions are massively increased due to human activity.
And while I don’t have data on ‘all’ pollution, in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, the US is ranked #2, behind China, responsible for just under 1/6th of global GHG emissions. Not exactly ‘miniscule’, though also not a majority, obviously.
That greenhouse hypothesis is based on a model programmed to show a multiplyer effect on CO2. That behavior is an assumption. Absent that “tweak” it doesn’t show the effect.
The data on past temperatures has been repeatedly “corrected” to fit the model.
When fed actual data, the model does not accurately predict the current period measured, without significant adjustment.
The ice core record shows a multiple century lag between known temperature changes and trapped CO2. The earth warms, then CO2 rises.
Orbital sensors show no significant warming during the same recent decades the models and “corrected” terrestrial temps show ongoing record warm.
If one only uses terrestrial sensors -not- significantly encroached by urbanization, the temps are fairly stable over the period of the alleged warming.
There is more than sufficient evidence to trash the “man made warming” hypothesis. Scientists adjust hypotheses to fit data, not the other way around. They also do not hide original data.
The fraudulent tampering with data, demands to keep other data secret, and assistance that we stop discussing it and !do something! is sufficient evidence of non-science to discard the “man made warming” hypothesis.
This scam is about political control. It is about preventing plenty, and allocating misery, all hallmarks of the Marxist plague that has infested politics.
Not buying the snake oil.
There’s so much wrong here it’s hard to even know where to begin – how about the clearest bits:
Our knowledge of ‘greenhouse gases’ goes all the way back to some moron named Fourier back in 1824. It’s not some new thing that’s model-dependent.
Also, there is no singular ‘model’ – talking about ‘the’ model is laughably misguided; it’s like talking about ‘the’ gun, as if there’s only one type of gun in the world. That said, the vast majority of models are open source – meaning, you can download them, look at the code, and marvel as you see there is no built-in multiplier in how the physics handles such stuff. Come on.
I get you don’t like the alarmist nonsense some people spout off – neither do I, in fact. But the choice isn’t a binary “They’re right and we’re all gonna die tomorrow!” or “They make it all up!”. The science is pretty accurate, regardless of what you think is going to happen.
The model uses an assumed multiple for the systemic effect of CO2. This value is debatable. Some assume as low as .5 (slight), some as much as 3 (major).
The actual value for impact is not established. The vale used for the systemic effect is an assumption. The warmists use the maximum or near maximum.
They have been fudging the prior temp data for years. They are quite open about it. That ain’t science.
The ocean is somehow hiding the missing heat. Yeah.
The models can’t accurately predict the -past- without data-fudging, and then only for short periods.
Carbon emitted by China, building thousands coal powerplants, doesn’t really count, but the lower carbon emissions of the USA will kill millions.
No nukes! Nonono!
Warming mavens warn of rising oceans, and buy beachfront mansions. Or high-carbon-footprint mansions while straw-shaming.
On and on it goes.
The change in climate is normal and natural and expected as we continue to exit the prior ice age.
Observation: earth has a variable climate
Conclusion: we need state control of the means of production by a self-selected elite or we are all doomed.
Horsefeathers
Do the models factor in that CO2 is plant food, and that higher concentration triggers greater growth, thus greater overall planetary biomass?
It also boosts crop yields, which better feeds folks.
Oh look! More “scientific” correction of the data to fit the “theory”!
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/10/australian_legislator_uncovers_that_countrys_bureau_of_meteorology_fiddling_with_temperature_records_to_hype_warming.html
At some point, honest folks have to admit that a “theory” based on outright fraud is unlikely to be true.
Back at ya!
https://wattsupwiththat.com/2018/04/01/uh-oh-analysis-of-ghcn-climate-stations-shows-there-is-no-statistically-significant-warming-or-cooling/
How on earth do you expect to persuade folks, when your very first sentence is garbage?
Earth’s climate has been variable, thus changing, for over 4 billion years. We are currently in a multi-million year ongoing cycle of ice ages, with shorter interstadial warm periods between them. The current de-glaciation warming trend is over ten thousand years old. The overall deglaciation is more like twenty thousand. All normal and natural.
Are you claiming ignorance of that well-established historical record of variable climate, or are you writing as if no one else is aware of it?
Even if we were capable of doing so, and I doubt we are, preventing the next due, perhaps overdue, glaciation would spare the lives of at least five billion humans based on typical icecap extent and anticipated destruction of farming due to spectacularly adverse weather.
“Science” doesn’t endlessly fiddle with the previously recorded data “to fit what we know” , nor does it hide inconvenient data to “protect it”.
Why is there approximately eight hundred years delta between known warming trend starts and CO2 rise? Related, how long does it take the oceans to out-gas their CO2 load when they warm up? The Physics Lab 101 demonstration is: part A) two sealed bottles of soda-pop, one in a fridge at 33F and the other on a shelf at 72F. Which one outgasses more C02 when opened? Part B) with ten bottles chilled to 33F and removed to 72F, how long does it take for the cold bottle behavior to approximate the warm bottle behavior of a control set of 72F bottles?
Seawater is a tremendous reserve of dissolved C02. It takes millennia for the deep cold weather to fully “turn over” for warmer surface water. Natural phenomena easily explain the current CO2 rise.
Real science says “Here is my original dataset and lab notes. Here is how to repeat the tests. How else could this all be explained besides my Hypothesis?”
Once again, the whole “man made climate change” bunkum shows that the Tranzis can only succeed in their evil schemes by force and fraud.
How many ice ages has Earth had, Lars? Why do deserts have cetacean fossils?
The Vikings were able to farm on Greenland for decades until the glaciers expanded.
The Anasazi had a thriving agrarian civilization until their piece of Arizona suddenly became a desert within a single generation.
All of this happened long before the first internal combustion engine cranked over. Climate changes. It always has and it always will. We don’t cause it. We don’t affect it. All we can do is adapt to it. Besides, why do your fellow True Believers keep cooking their books? Asshole.
Astronomers were discovering a few years ago that the Polar Ice Caps on Planet Mars were also melting and there’s not even a single SUV or coal-fired power plant there!
Be more specific. Mars shows seasonal icecap melt and growth every Martian year.
The extent of the Martian icecap maxima and minima varies approximately with the icecap variation on earth. (not directly, as the Martian year is much longer). Likely common cause is solar output variation. There are no Martian SUVs.
Oopsie. The warmists are not looking at the climates of the other planets.
We are a warm-climate species, thus does better in warmer climate. We are nowhere near the Medieval warm period, or the one of antiquity. Both were periods of civilization growth.
As the planet continues to thaw, vast areas become habitable and farmable.
A return to cold climate and glaciation will kill billions. Might be nice if we come up with a way to prevent re-glaciation. Because the Pleistocene deep-freeze is actually the normal climate for Earth. The current warm era is a brief interlude.
Hey now y’all, stop confusing Lars with facts… he’s been fed a steady diet of bullshit by hi Berkeley professors, and truth and facts just confuse the shit out of him..
Again, what the (D)unces do:
Talk about “Climate Change”, and mean “Anthrocentric Climate Change.
No one denies that the climate changes, has changed dramatically in the past, and will most likely change dramatically in the future.
What we who are rational deny is that man is the cause of this change.
But I’m afraid Lars cannot understand these distinctions. His indoctrination has rendered him incapable of independent thought, or extrapolation from facts.
The “warmists” are just another “end is near” Doomsday Cult, infused heavily with Marx to ensure the “doom” part.
Obey and pay the Kollecktive-Druids, or the weather will be bad! Your very exhalations are Sin!
Happy Friday all! It’s been a Monday for me, so I’m hoping the rest of the weekend goes better.
Well this case just got whole lot worse. I don’t like where this is going. https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-father-of-7-year-old-trans-child-james-younger-speaks-out-before-gag-order
I saw an update I think on Victory Girls Blog, that the judge overruled the jury, and gave 50/50 custody to the dad. Better than the original, but hell they should give dad full custody, and revoke the medical license of the SJZ and batshit crazy mom..
They should. I can’t believe this even a thing. Someone on the Daily Wire said that in Canada where they a live, a child can be as young as five and if they choose to transition, all they need is permission from a doctor.
If that is so then I’m sure they’ll see a big rise in teen suicide rates among those they’ve let “transition”.
Don’t quote me on it though it would not surprise me if it’s true.
That judge had to see the writing on the wall with the Governor, the legislature, and the state AG looking into it.
I will never understand why it’s acceptable to give kids lifelong altering drugs and surgeries. Dress how you want, cut your hair how you want, hell, call yourself whatever name you want. Until you’re an adult, you can’t take the meds or lop off your privates.
I’d even go so far as to say that those surgeries and meds shouldn’t be given to anyone under 25, when your brain finally fully matures. Remember all the stupid shit we did as “adults” from 18-25? God, I often wonder just how I survived. I didn’t even get any tattoos, and I’m grateful of that.
I wholeheartedly concur while thinking that many of these kids being goaded into “transitioning” will end up killing themselves. At the same time I wonder if these parents goading their kids into doing it are doing so using their kids to say”HEY, look at me” to the PC Crowd?
https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2019/02/11/transgender-debate-transitioning-sex-gender-column/1894076002/
I did some dangerous and stupid shit before I was 25. Of course, most it was in the course of my duties as an Army officer. But now I won’t ever again climb a ladder and get on the roof. I don’t need any more orthopedic injuries.
That same judge put a gag order on the man, so he no longer can petition for redress of grievance.
The judge is now the tiebreaker on that 50/50 and the man has to STFU.
How, exactly, will anyone be able to intervene or even critique further actions?
I’m stunned and shocked that this is going on in Texas
California has finally or is in the progress of turning it into
Another people’s republic
We’ve been Californicated, I fear.
Although there’s a feedlot-byproduct-load of home grown idjit here as well.
Anyone have an update on Dullass? What with Bernath making an ash out of himself, and Joe Cryer being placed in a padded cell, Dullass has no one to periodically check in on him to make sure he did not die of autoerotic asphyxiation.
Last email from the POS, I was a man in New York named James..
My panties and bra disagree.
He still has Frank DUX
That has-been POS told me years ago that he “was a-coming” and still nothing, ditto with the rest of the Dutch Rudder Gang and I couldn’t give less of a shit about them, life goes on!
He’s been strangely quiet on any DRG related subject. His social media posts have all been skydiving related or related to some old DC3 plane known as Mr Douglas.
He even went back to Cryers book of faces page and deleted a vast majority of his comments on there. But he didn’t delete them all. Maybe he was too drunk to see by then.
Oh, the fake TAH website based on servers in Iceland are down too. If you visit it now, the screen says “Account Suspended”.
I went there via a proxy server and yep you’re right. My bet is that they DRANK all their money for that in bottles of T-bird, Night Train and MD 20/20 to wash down copious amounts of Dutch Rudder Gang Cocktails (Rubbing Alcohol with antifreeze garnished with a Lead Paint chip).
Have any of you who might be gamers played the “Metro 2033” series? Basic premise: Russia, China, and the US have a nuclear 3-way in 2013. The story picks up in Moscow in 2033, where tens of thousands of people have survived by sheltering in the metro subway stations. The air above ground is full of toxic particulates, with using a gas mask and swapping filters being a game mechanic for the above-ground levels. Nobody has answered the radio in years, leading many to think that humanity is extinct outside Moscow (the author of the source material says this is due to screwed-up atmospheric conditions, and that there are other survivors around Russia, Hong Kong, Japan, Western Europe, and the USA). Wildlife has mutated to produce lots of critters that dispute Man’s dominant position at the top of the food chain. It’s fairly common to find a pile of empty brass adjacent to a bloody smear leading around the corner to what’s left of the poor bastard who ran out of ammo. Homemade firearms are common, and AK-74s are quite valuable. And in a remarkably astute twist, the only tradeable currency for any transaction is ammo, preferably “clean” (i.e. not the shitty handloads made in the tunnels using homemade primers and propellants) 5.45 rounds. The various stations have split into rival factions, with some trading and others fighting, including (of course) a resurgent communist party (who are total assholes) and Russian nazis (who are just as assholish as the commies, but less underhanded about it)—both of whom will shoot you on sight. As if this wasn’t enough, there are also supernatural forces at work in the tunnels. The tone of the storyline is a tug of war between “we’re all fucked” and “there is hope.”
I haven’t seen that one, but I may need to look into it now dammit… You geting sent out again TOW? seems like half the state is burning again.. if so, be safe brother! And if you ever get downtime, come visit Colorado. First round is on me! (but you will have to buy your own ammo for the back yard range..)
Haven’t gone out yet, but days off are cancelled. Good for the paycheck, bad for morale, marriage, and general sanity. Luckily my wife is taking it in stride. Hopefully it calms down again soon.
As for ammo, I haven’t been able to go shoot in over a year now, which sucks! Chickenshit California ammo laws, man!
Well, that sucks brother be safe, and hang in.. but if you ever get out this way, you can just walk into a store and buy whatever ammo ya want (unless it’s Walmart or Dicks).. Hell you can even go online and order it by the case, or the pallet (yes, I dream of the day I have the cash to do that!)
I have heard of this game. It is certainly an interesting take on the genre.
Vaguely related: I am not a gamer so I cannot follow up on a lead that I was given. I was told that our favorite serial phony, Kyle Barwan, now out of prison for almost a year is back at his poser shit. Those of you who are gamers, and interested in shutting the posers down, might watch for him. While he frequently changes his alias’, these are those he has most often used:
Kyle Denton
Klutch Denton
Chris Denton
Klutch Reborn

If any of you were to see him, please let me know, (Admin here will forward e-mails, or I can be contacted on facebook if we are friended there.) Enjoy your gaming, and keep your head on a swivel.
Here is an interesting study on the Opiod
epidemic:
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2019/10/study-puts-standard-narrative-on-opioid-crisis-in-doubt.php
Turns out the blame rests on druggies and
drug dealers in the same manner the mortgage
crisis was the fault of democrats forcing banks
to write mortgages for those who cannot pay.
Blame the corporations and the banks but place
no blame on those who made their own
bad choices. Student loans for stupid courses
is another one.
Somehow climate change fits here as well.
Druggies can’t be made to pay huge fines.
Obama put them all on SSDI because they
met the rquirement of being unemployable.
Medicaid, section 8 housing, cellphones,
food stamps, EBT cards and of course
counseling so they can get a job that
never seems to come.
Wasn’t the counseling so they got to the polls and voted properly?
We had a guy in my city that fried himself retarded, literally, from using dope. To the point he was on all the government assistance. It’s disgusting to find out that he will never have to work and has better health coverage than me. It was made worse when we were told that he was found mentally incompetent to stand trial for anything we’d arrest him on. So he’s literally living above the law now at the taxpayer’s expense because of something he did to himself.
Be a shame if he fell off a bridge… just saying..
Yes. There has to be a big source of money to pay the lawers, which is the primary motivation for most civil litigation.
As time goes on the homeless crisis, and it is now a full blown crisis in Austin, continues to drive people out of the downtown area.
The panhandlers are getting more aggressive and although they haven’t started pulling people out of cars and beating them, I do expect that to start happening in the near future…
Fuckers better make damn sure they don’t try that shit with me.
We all know that Uber cars are gun free zones, but, it doesn’t say anything about other forms of self defense that are easily carried….
Stupid fucks on the city council love the fact that they are turning Austin into a third world shithole…
Last month, four businesses moving to Austin have cancelled their contracts simply because of the homeless crisis here in Austin.
“Stupid fucks on the city council love the fact that they are turning Austin into a third world shithole…”
I don’t understand the mentality behind that. Maybe someone can ‘splain it to me. Lost Angeles is a mess, so are other cities, and these bozos think that’s cool. Why?
When and wherever leftard politicians gain power all they want to do is turn the place nto a third world shithole, just look at Detroit, Chicago and San Foo-foo as examples, especially SF where you don’t even THINK about vaping, but you can shoot up heroin or shit on the sidewalk anywhere to your heart’s delight!
Don’t believe everything you hear about the homeless situation in California. The New York Times is fairly notorious about running stories ragging on California due to what I’d venture amounts at least partly to petty jealousy. Here are some reality-check actual numbers:
New York City population = 8.6 million with 58,000 or 0.7% homeless
Los Angeles County population = 10 million with 58,000 or 0.5% homeless
San Francisco population = 884,000 with ~8,000 or 0.9% homeless
A lot of San Francisco’s homeless problem is due to the cost of housing. It also doesn’t help that housing in California now needs to include about 20 percent in fees and permits in the final construction costs.
New York City also pays homeless folks to relocate elsewhere. “I hear California is nice this time of year”.
Not just one-way bus tickets, either.
Well, Ex, I’ve had some front-row seating to some of the “thought process” that are behind this.
One example, we were attending a baby shower in Austin for a long-time family friend, whose father is strongly Democrat – despite being a nice and fairly intelligent man. Father and mother were students at University of Texas years ago.
During the gift giving at the baby shower, one of the females-of-some-age there was giving some type of toast/speech, and encouraged the mother to not let her child grow up to vote Republican.
Mind you, this was pre-Obummer era by several years.
In the mindset of all those in attendance save the Family GB, it is the height of ignorance and depravity to vote anything but Democrat, and anything a (D) does is excellence incarnate.
I don’t think they’ve ever found out that I was active in the Republican party at one time.
When there are years of infestation by
certain insects it takes mother nature a
while to come up with a biological
solution such as a natural predator or
disease that will bring back “balance”.
Sometimes all it takes is a good cold winter
where the frost goes deep and kills all.
just sayin
A good winter or typhus, bird flu and hanta fever would do the trick.
They’ve already seen a huge uptick in Medieval Diseases in large homeless infestations, Typus, TB and Cholera to name a few.
It’s the Elko “Nevada Day” parade, October 25, 2019.
There is NO Elko POW*MIA Awareness Association.
The parade Honor Guard is now comprised of children.
The YouTube video is cued to 7:55,
for a non-descript group of 5 vested Harleys,
(3) 2-wheelers and (2) 3-wheel trikes.
Do any of these 5 vested Harleys look familiar?
Les Brown? Laura Adams riding backseat?
They should have been behind the horses at
0845.
Ahh, but they ARE directly behind horses.
A group of 2, then a new group of 5.
More horses follow behind them.
Imagine that…
Black leather jacket flag wavers on Harleys
surrounded by horse shit.
WHAT, no marching in uniform wearing rank? No banners? It didn’t look to me like they were even wearing blinged-out vests, next we’ll hear they didn’t cook or serve even ONE bowl of Chili that day!
There’s a good reason the Elko POW/MIA ASSociation was not represented in the parade. According to their website, the parade is to be held tomorrow, 27 October./s
As far as the annual Chili Feed, that historically has been held in mid February of each year, roughly one month before the first installment of property taxes is due to be paid./s

All you folks who know about birds, their migration and such things, what does it mean when a bunch of vultures camp out near one’s house? Have been able to identify that these are black turkey vultures, but without a bunch more research, have not yet found anything that would explain why there were 17 of them in the trees near my house last evening. Have only seen 4 so far today in the same trees.
Gotta tell you that it was eerie, to say the least, seeing so many of them. My movements disturbed them, and they repositioned themselves a few times among the trees but didn’t move far. Spooky.
OK, I will admit it – I wandered around a bit to see if perhaps there was a body nearby. The vultures never ventured down to ground level, just stayed up in the trees.
It means you’re doomed and they will strip your carcass of flesh within three days when you drop over dead out in the back forty…..
Doomed……
DOOMED I SAY !!!!
There won’t be enough left of you to do a DNA sample !!!!!
DOOOMED !!!!
The authorities will be chasing vultures around to get some vulture shit for the ID of the few pieces that remain !!!
DOOOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEDDDDDDD !!!!!!!!
Sorry guys…..
Sometimes the voices in my head take over and I have to go back for a VA electro-shock therapy treatment with the two ground off butter knives they gave me back in the 70’s…..
But….. You’re still DOOOOOOMMMMMEEEEEDDDDDDDD !!!!!!!!
I don’t want to sell death sticks to Jedi Warriors anymore…..
I want to go home and rethink my life…….
DOOOOOMMMMMMMMEEEEEEDDDDDD !!!!!
Well, all that was pretty much my first reaction, but was hoping for a perhaps slightly saner reaction from somebody out there…
There is one question still remaining – why the 17 of them? Seems like a couple could have done a perfectly adequate job of it.
Stixx, I have a nice lemon cake and a pot of hot tea waiting for you in the corner by the window.
DOOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEEEDDDDDD !!!!!!!!
Happy Monday everybody !!!
It may that they’re grouping for migration. When you have a kettle or wake of vultures (group name) parked like that, they may smell carcasses that you don’t notice. But generally, they’re grouping for migration. They’ve mostly departed over here, west of Lake Michigan, because the garbage dump they might go to is further south.
Besides, it’s nearly Hallowe’en. They may be looking for lost trick-or-treaters, too. 🙂
MOM!!!!
Now, if you see a murder of crows (group) rooking up in trees, they are looking for food that people waste and will stick around as long as they can get it. If they’re too noisy, go outside and yell ‘SHUT UP!!” at them. That sometimes works. But DON’T feed them.
If they’re grouped in a tree they are referred to as a “committee” of vultures. Appropriate, yes? And by the way, OWB….
YOU’RE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!
So much for birds, but a gathering or group of Baboons is called a “Congress”. Happenstance? Coincidence? I think not!
There is something dead or dying nearby.
Vultures are relatively fragile birds, thus picky about roosts. When they find a place they feel safe and comfy, they congregate. They like neighbors, so they encourage visitors to stay.
All kinds of rules apply to them, so you can’t just shoo they away like crows or starlings.
They will happily prey on small slow-moving critters, so keep any pets well protected.
Friend of mine has a female nest in his barn every year. Not necessarily that there is something dead nearby. They can and will fly for miles to eat, and return to a place where they can take off without too much flapping of wings.
I’m thinking migration, personally.
To be safe, from now until next Thursday I recommend not venturing out often.
Don’t need any more Dooooommmmed! folks around.
There were a couple of pairs nesting in the tops of those lights that line the off/on ramps to highways. I think they go there because they know they can find plenty of roadkill if there’s nothing else around.
I am wary of crows in trees ahead of me
while driving I-95 above Bangor.
They see the deer walking towards the
highway and anticipate the fresh kill.
Latest problem is competition from Bald
Eagles. They don’t move off the carcass
for approaching vehicles like crows do.
The state has flashing signs warning
of Bald Eagles in the road.
Rachell Carson was wrong about DDT.
It was a bird virus and she destroyed an
industry over it. Bitch.
Not just that, she condemned millions to death by malaria and other mosquito borne illnesses.
More bodycount for the altar of progressivism.
They will get it right this time.
A friend of mine is a rabid
environmentalist living in one
of many million dollar homes
along the beach in Kennebunk
Maine.
When I reminded him that his
home was built over filled
wetlands next to the Rachell
Carson preserve he stopped
talking to me.
Maybe the remains of Elaine Ricci have been unearthed, and they are having a feast. How far are you from Bethesda Maryland?
Are you in Ohio?
The Dade County Courthouse gets hundreds of Vultures every winter.
The news reports that they come from Ohio
Boom! Apparently al-Baghdadi is now al-Baghdeadi. Confirmation not yet in since he apparently detonated a vest, which makes identification … messy.

Getting Bombed.
Saturday was National Drug Take Back Day.
Not “buyback”, take back.
They will “buyback” your guns but not your drugs.
Just a passing thought.
