Vice President Pence weighs in on fight over Manchester VA POW/MIA display

Mikey Weinstein’s latest endeavor to remove any and all Christian and Jewish religious symbology from the military has failed. The “Missing Soldier” setting at the Manchester NH VA Medical Center included a Bible donated by a WWII POW. This display raised the ire of Mikey, who true to form filed a lawsuit to have the offending book removed.

Who is this guy, and what’s his issue with Bibles?

Mikey Weinstein reportedly described his anti-Christian organization Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF): “We are a weapon. We’re a militant organization. Our job is to kick ass, take names, lay down a withering field of fire, and leave sucking chest wounds on this unconstitutional heart of darkness, if you will, this imperious fascistic contagion of unconstitutional triumphalism.”

So basically he files lawsuits against the military for the display of religious items, sort of a Westboro Baptist Church type scam. I don’t believe he’s actually won a case in court, but all you need to file is a lawyer and the filing fee. From the article:

“The Bible stays.”

That’s the message Vice President Mike Pence sent to the Manchester VA Medical Center on Wednesday, during a speech at the American Legion’s national convention.

“You might’ve heard even today that there’s a lawsuit to remove a Bible that was carried in World War II from a Missing Man Table at a VA hospital in New Hampshire,” Pence told the veterans gathered in Indianapolis. “Let me be clear: Under this administration, VA hospitals will not be religion-free zones.”

“We will always respect the freedom of religion of every veteran of every faith,” said Pence, an evangelical Christian. “And my message to the New Hampshire VA hospital is: The Bible stays.”

The Bible featured in the Missing Man Table display at the Manchester VA Medical Center was donated by a Bedford man, now 100 years old, who was a former POW in a German prison camp. He actually did not carry it during the war, but was given the Bible by a family member after he escaped captivity and returned home.

The lobby display, sponsored by the Northeast POW/MIA Network, has divided the veterans community. Earlier this year, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), based in New Mexico, filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of an Air Force veteran against the Manchester VA, claiming the inclusion of the Bible in the display is unconstitutional.

VA officials initially removed the Bible from the display, then reversed course and returned it after an outcry from other patients.

If any think Mikey is doing his thing for altruistic reasons, well, there’s this bridge…

Good for VP Pence.

The Other Whitey

Mikey-boy is making an awful lot of money off of his “nonprofit.” Maybe the IRS should take an interest.

Mikey, mikey, mikey, you sorry waste of your mother’s time breastfeeding you. I’ll bet money that you spit in her face, too.

Isn’t mikey Jewish or something? He is such a money-grubbing little snot that it’s time someone handed his backside to him.

Good for Pence. He’s not as passive as he seems in public.

I wonder if Mikey WHINEstein’s Momma doesn’t wish that she could time travel back to when she was pregnant with Mikey so she could either pray for a miscarriage or get him aborted?

OWB

So Mikey has his panties in a wad because someone placed an object in a building he doesn’t frequent in a display he has never seen and he demands that others should care about his opinion? Why?

That would belike any of us getting offended because somebody somewhere might have a muscle car calendar up on their locker. You know, one with a green car on it. Nobody needs a green car, and since I don’t like them, nobody can have one. Yeah, just because I said so. Uh-huh.

Notice his so-called religion haters’ club never seems to have a problem with Islam. The dirty little coward knows better than to eff with the muzzies. Their solution for even an implied slight to their fake prophet or holy book is head removal.

HA-HA and FUCK YOU Mikey WHINEstein!!

“We are a weapon. We’re a militant organization.”

Sounds like he wants to be labeled a terrorist organization.

All kidding aside, he’s really ramping up the rhetoric here. He used to be able to at least appear sane and reasonable. He’s going full Hillary with this.

e.conboy

He IS deplorable, isn’t he?

Poor Mikey. It must be hard trying scratch out a living on a mere $300,000 per year.

Mikey’s Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) also apparently hasn’t had a big case in awhile. Then too, it could have put Mikey in a funk back in June when the Supreme Court shot down the American Humanist lawsuit against the the Peace Cross in Maryland.

So, Mikey might by now have had to become something of a reptile when it comes to tooting his own horn. For example, it seems fairly obvious that the Wikipedia entry for the MRFF has been edited by Mikey or his minions. Among other self-congratulatory items was this gem:

On November 13, 2014, for the sixth consecutive year, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation was officially nominated again for the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize (its seventh total nomination)

The quoted source of this accolade was– the MRFF.

It also looks like the MRFF might consider the Nobel Prize committee’s rules to be a mere speed-bump. According to NobelPrize.org:

A nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize may be submitted by any person who meets the nomination criteria. A letter of invitation to submit is not required. The names of the nominees and other information about the nominations cannot be revealed until 50 years later.

Mikey, there’s definitely something that’s sucking…it’s pretty clear you suck balls…so fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

I’m not a believer, but I’m also not a capital A atheist either. I like being left alone, by pretty much everyone.

I’m not offended by bibles, crosses in cemeteries, or other religious paraphernalia. As long as you’re not trying to proselytize we’ll get along fine. I’ll keep my thoughts to myself as long as you do the same and we’ll all get along. I’m with Jefferson on the concept that a man’s belief, or lack thereof, was a private matter of no concern to his neighbors until such time as there was an attempt at injury to property, free will, or person.

“Prostelytize”

Great word, VOV.
