ST. LOUIS — Folks heading to Busch Stadium for Saturday’s Cardinals game may have heard gunshots or walked past a number of St. Louis police patrol vehicles in Downtown St. Louis.According to a police spokesperson, gunfire was reported at 10th Street and Olive Street minutes after 11 a.m., and officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded.
“A preliminary investigation reveals there was a dispute between two men that occurred at a smoke shop,” police said. “The suspect fired shots and the victim returned fire.”
At 8th Street and Walnut Street, a block north of Busch Stadium, there was a black sedan with a broken rear window. Police detained a suspect and seized a firearm.
Karen Boschert, known as “The Hot Dog Lady of St. Louis,” works at a hot dog stand that opens near 8th and Walnut on gameday, like Saturday.
“A car came up and started shooting another car,” The Hot Dog Lady said. “He shot his back window out, trying to shoot somebody else.”
She also shared her love for St. Louis and her excitement for the state takeover.

The Hot Dog Lady is referring to a new Missouri law that gives a state board control over the city’s police department instead of the mayor. It’s already under appeal. Thanks for the links again, Gun Bunny.

How rude! Waking the homeowner up at 3am on a Monday! Interrupting his sleep, just because you have impulse control problems. You deserve to be shot, and i hope each bullet entry hurt like hell.
Yeah, Tox, I get ill if I’m awakened at 0300. Unless, of course, it’s a willing Ms Thang wanting to engage in carnal congress. I keep a different kind of “gun” handy for those situations.
Home boy started a gunfight at the OK Cafe and got served up some hot lead. Doc and Wyatt were unavailable for comment.
No one would relish some one hot dogging at the old ball game. I’ll take a chili cheese and a beer, please. Can one get a Yuengling at Busch Stadium?
I’ll make this as plain as I can, Tyrants. I will be using tools such as the MP 15 pictured above for you perverts…
Could change the caption to read, “If you want to take my freedoms, make sure you’re as passionate about dying to take them, as I’m dying to keep them”.
People on the street scattering probably moved faster than anyone on the Cards this year… sigh.
