Florida girl, 11, stabbed mother’s attacker with scissors, deputies say

By Robert Gearty
Florida deputies say an 11-year-old girl rescued her mother from a beating over the weekend by stabbing her attacker in the back with scissors.
“Mommy, I stabbed him because I thought he was going to kill you,” the arrest affidavit quoted the girl as saying. She was described as “shaking.”

The court papers released Tuesday by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the man in question was her uncle, Panagiotis Karamanlis, a 44-year-old Greek national who was in the country illegally.

The girl’s mother is Karamanlis’ sister.

Online records showed Immigration and Customs Enforcement have placed a hold on Karamanlis at the Pinellas County Jail.

California gang members laugh in court while receiving life sentences for attempted murder of cop: report

By Bradford Betz
Two California gang members convicted of attempted murder in the 2015 shooting of a police officer smiled and laughed as a judge handed them life sentences on Monday, according to a report.

Jamie Caudillo and Steven Rincon stood trial for shooting at former Merced Police Officer Ryan Rasmussen during a routine traffic stop in Merced, Calif., on Feb. 28, 2015.

According to prosecutors, Caudillo, the passenger, fired at Rasmussen as Rincon sped off. Rasmussen was hit on his bulletproof vest and his hand.
Fellow officers fired at Caudillo, hitting him at least once, the Merced Sun-Star reported.

A 10-hour manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies eventually ended with the arrest of Caudillo and Rincon.

In May, Caudillo was found guilty of shooting Rasmussen, and Rincon of being the getaway driver, the Merced Sun-Star reported. Both were charged with attempted murder, the report said.

2 carjacking suspects in custody after crash in Wilmington following high-speed chase
Two suspect are in custody and after a carjacking in the south suburbs led to a high-speed police chase and crash Wednesday morning.

By Michelle Gallardo
WILMINGTON, Ill. (WLS) — Two men are in custody and after a carjacking in the south suburbs that led to a high-speed police chase and crash Wednesday morning.

Police said one of the suspects held a driver at gunpoint in Calumet City Tuesday night and stole his car.

The duo then led police on a high-speed chase, at one point reaching speeds of 130 mph through Dolton and Harvey, according to a source. They then took the chase onto I-57, later crashing the stolen car in Wilmington and ran off.

It was just after 5am when a Will County homeowner’s dogs started barking.

“I grabbed my pistol and I called, ‘if somebody is in the house, leave now,'” said the homeowner who didn’t want to be identified. “He hollered back, ‘I’m not leaving.’ I fired one shot and I said, ‘won’t fire another shot if you leave now’ and he said, ‘I’m not leaving.’ I just said, ‘go out the way you came and I won’t shoot again.’ He said, ‘I don’t want to die tonight.’ I said, ‘you shouldn’t be in somebody’s house,’ and he took off out the back.”

One suspect was found minutes later armed with a knife and hiding underneath a trampoline.

His partner-in-crime however remained at large for hours, sending the entire area into a lockdown as dozens of officers from different jurisdictions, swat teams, K9 units, and even a helicopter took part in the manhunt.

“Better safe than sorry,” said City of Wilmington Police Chief Phillip Arnold. “We don’t want people coming out of their house. We had officers all over.”

Five of a kind, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. Kind of a shaky Poker hand, but five put away isn’t bad for a mid-week FGS.

Those two Kalifornication low lifes are smokin’ and jokin’ about their newly acquired “street creds”. What they don’t seem to realize is that they’ll never be back out on the street again, at least not while they’re young and full of juice.

And put ’em both in solitary for two months, sunshine brought in to them in a bowl on alternate Tuesdays, that’ll remove the smiles and laughs.

    • chooee lee says:

All they have to do is say they are sorry and California will let them out after eighteen months.

      • UpNorth says:

i was going to say the same thing, chooee. Newsome may try to get them out before his term ends, or maybe Xavier Becerra will release them when he becomes governor.

Good on the 11 y.o. for protecting her mama.
As the saying goes, “any chair in a bar fight”. You use any and all tools at hand, no matter what.

As for the illegal entry unkle, well, it seems as though he’ll have an involuntary extended stay, before being forceably removed.
    PREPARE THE TREBUCHET!!!

Florida Girl! Bring any and every weapon to bear. She needs to be heavily praised for her action so she doesn’t have any residual bad memories. Dirt bag uncle just shows that trash comes in any nationality.

Commiefornia trash. Bubba & Julio’s new bitches. Or maybe they were laughing in anticipation of more dates in the iron bar lounge? Anybody else remember the days when an attempted cop murderer never made it to jail, much less a trial?

Illinois trash. They only warning you’ll get here is the sound of a round being chambered. You won’t remember the sound of the round penetrating your sorry thieving a$$.

The Colt 1911 Defender… covet covet covet!

    1. See, illegal immigration isn’t a victimless crime! (Hence the word ‘illegal’ ergo ‘crime’, turds)
    2. Maybe those two just wanted to get back to their boyfriends? I hope they never get to walk free again.
    3. A gun possibly saved a life… naw, never happens. Right MSM?
It’s open season for crims, no bag limit nor ammo restrictions.
    Do your part folks!
(Aside: does that Colt come with an AARP Card and a Denny’s gift certificate? Hahahaha!)

  6. SFC D says:

Purchasing scissors should require an extended background check, registration, and a 3 day waiting period. Assault scissors should be banned, with a mandatory buy-back program. It’s for the children, you know.
